Who we are
Age UK is the country's largest charity dedicated to helping everyone make the most of later life.
The over-60s is the fastest-growing group in society and there are more of us than ever before.
Ageing is not an illness, but it can be challenging. At Age UK we provide services and support at a national and local level to inspire, enable and support older people.
We stand up and speak for all those who have reached later life, and also protect the long-term interests of future generations.
Our vision
A world where everyone can love later life
Our vision is ambitious. It won’t be easy to get there, and it won’t be a quick journey, but we believe it’s how things should be for older people and we work every day to achieve this.
Our network
The Age UK network includes Age Scotland, Age Cymru and Age NI and more than 120 local Age UKs throughout England. Together, we provide a wide range of services to help people in later life throughout the UK.
Age International are the international arm of the Age UK Group - founded in 2012. Age International are one of over 170 members of the global HelpAge network supporting older people across the world.
Our shops
We have a network of over 260 shops, selling an ever-changing range of goods - many of which we rely on the goodwill of you to donate.
Our shops also act as a gateway to the rest of Age UK and each one is a recycling centre.
Our volunteers
Age UK would not be able to function properly without the dedication of the more than 166,000 volunteers and campaigners who get involved and help all older people to make the most of later life.
