About us
Who we are
Adventure Ashram is a small but mighty charity founded by a group of adventurers. Our focus is in supporting anti-trafficking and education grassroots projects in India. We have supported thousands of survivors of human trafficking and helped hundreds of vulnerable children access education and ongoing healthcare.
Our story:
Adventure Ashram was founded and registered as a UK charity in 2007 by a group of adventurers who wanted to give back to India, the country that had captured our hearts as we rode our motorbikes and drove our cars through its beautiful landscapes and volunteered in its communities. As we travelled, we discovered small, grassroots charities working hard to improve children’s health, education and safety. The word ‘Ashram’ derives from the ancient Sanskrit word for protection. We seek to offer protection and support the communities we visit on our adventures. We support our charity partners to deliver vital anti-human trafficking and education projects to some of the world’s most underprivileged communities in southern India.
