Who we are
Access Academia is an originally student founded organisation. Access Academia began in the summer of 2021 originally as the Journal of Intersectional Social Justice (JISJ), an online publication by students, for students. From there, the JISJ grew to incorporate student volunteer teams across multiple sectors, including Content Creation, Outreach & Marketing, Financial & Legal Logistics, and Online Operations.
Our culture and values
Access Academia is driven by the mission to further knowledge sharing. Access Academia believes that there should be no barrier to entry for accessing academic material, deciphering key information contained in published academic materials, lowering barriers to entry for academic programming, and promoting equal access to research programming, training, and Fellowships.
