Abernethy Adventure Centres in Scotland
Abernethy is a group of 4 outdoor adventure centres in Scotland with an additional winter base in the Swiss Alps. We are a Christian organisation which means that our staff team are Christians and we hope that our guests see a positive difference in the care and contact that they receive. Abernethy was established in 1971 and, since then has grown to include a team of over 100 people, some full time and some part time, some here as a gap year and some as a long term career. The team is trained to ensure the best hospitality and customer service possible in some of the most stunning (and occasionally remote) locations in Scotland.
We are a front-runner in providing top quality outdoor education for schools. We also offer fantastic activity weekends as well as action-packed adventure holidays for families, groups or unaccompanied kids. Abernethy is a not-for-profit organisation, so we can offer unbeatable value to make our holidays and courses available to as many people as possible. All in all, we are here to serve our guests, whether they come as part of a group, with a school, on a course or as an individual and we hope that their Abernethy experience is one that they will remember for years to come!
Being part of the Abernethy team is rewarding and enjoyable – we currently have opportunities in a variety of departments working indoors and outside. As well as the day to day duties involved in each post, all staff are expected to play an active part in the ministry of the centre including the 'Explore' evening programs. Positions are live-in, offering a special community atmosphere at our centres. We provide accommodation and meals, plus a salary. Paid annual leave is provided for all long-term positions. You also have the opportunity to use the centre’s facilities, and take part in exciting adventurous activities should you wish to do so. Visit our website to find out more ...
