About us

Who we are

The organisation ‘a space’ arts work to provide opportunities for artists to develop their careers and for audiences in Southampton and the surrounding regions to engage with high quality artistic experiences.

We deliver this through a project portfolio currently consisting of affordable studios at the Arches, Tower House and the Sorting Office along with leading the Studio Providers Network South.  This is complemented by Public Art Projects and professional development opportunities currently offered through the Talent Development programme. 

The new God's House Tower project will build on our work to rejuvenate heritage sites with contemporary arts and heritage and progress the wok instigated through ArtVaults and the Bargate Monument Gallery.
