Who we are

4Youth was established in 1942 and is a charity providing services across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton.

Our Vision: Safe, effective and sustainable provision for Youth Work.

Our Mission: We aim to inspire and enable individuals, organisations and communities to provide young people with the highest possible quality of youth work provision across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton.

Our Motivation: We know that young people face a wide range of challenges whilst growing up, some of these are clearly visible; others are harder to spot. Through accessing good youth work provision and the many positive benefits this provides, we know that young people stand a better chance of growing up happy, successful, independent & involved, are resilient enough to cope and have the right skills for life.

There are many different ways in which 4Youth works with young people and helps individuals, organisations and communities to work safely, effectively and sustainably with young people in their community to help them do more, be more and achieve more.

Our Values: Through our work we strive to inspire and enable, to challenge and reassure, to support and engage. We are committed to taking a pro-active approach to sharing our knowledge and experience and to transferring our skills and abilities to as many individuals, organisations and communities as possible working with young people across wider-Hampshire. We aspire to be a trustworthy, reliable and approachable source of help, support and guidance for the youth work sector. We are passionate about the continuous improvement and development of youth services, the recognition of good practice and the celebration of achievement.
