Role Requirements
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the Plumber will use their vast experience, skill, and knowledge from previous roles to deliver exceptional plumbing services to the estate, ensuring the efficient operation and safety of all electrical systems and associated items in compliance with current standards and regulations.
Ensuring requirements of Children, young people, parents, staff and visitors are met at all times the role will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance tasks in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule and also for installation, investigation, diagnosis and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment, including, but not limited to heating and hot water systems, hot and cold-water services, air conditioning, air handling and ventilation equipment, drainage and rainwater system and control systems. To add variety to your day, you'll also be assigned other duties through the help desk. These tasks will diversify your workload and ensure your role remains dynamic and engaging.
Provide and receive routine and complex information to inform colleagues and other personnel. Be knowledgeable and conversant with technical issues and communicate and explain those to colleagues.
The role holder will assist in the supervision and monitoring of maintenance work carried out by contracts ensuring at all times their own work and that is contractors is within the statutory guidelines the role will ensure a quality customer service and delivery of outcomes within expected SLAs.
The role holder will participate in a 7-day shift rota and out of hours call out to ensure a 24/7 coverage of the estate.

About the Role
This role will provide senior marketing leadership to the Acquisition Squad. Working closely with the Head of Acquisition, you will lead the planning and delivery of our effective acquisition programme, to deliver growth in our Individual Giving supporter base and income.
You'll lead the development of multi-channel marketing campaigns. Working collaboratively with our partner agencies, you'll have accountability for delivery across the full range of Individual Giving channels (e.g., DRTV, PPC, Paid Social, Display, Offline, Telemarketing).
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you'll build strong relationships to collaboratively achieve targets, in a fast-moving and dynamic environment. Leveraging agile principles, you'll adapt plans as needed – learning rapidly and responding to change, while keeping our supporters at the heart of everything you do.
In this role, you will:
- Lead marketing planning and delivery as part of a multi-disciplinary team to acquire new supporters – using insight and data to understand our audiences needs and motivations to build long term relationships
- Work with the Head of Acquisition to ensure the Regular Giving and Single Giving income targets are achieved
- Lead on the development of multi-channel marketing plans, with a focus on audience, to drive ambitious targets across supporter acquisition and lead generation campaigns
- Be accountable for the delivery of acquisition marketing across DRTV, PPC, paid social, display, offline channels and telemarketing
- Lead the team's relationship with the media buying agency to buy and optimise media
- Cultivate collaborative relationships with a range of key partners, including telemarketing, production companies and fulfilment agencies, and motivate and inspire these partners to deliver their best for Save the Children
- Work with Head of Acquisition to develop and manage Squad budgets. This includes planning, reporting, and re-forecasting.
- Personally lead the execution of high spend marketing activity, alongside your team
- With Analyst squad members, analyse marketing effectiveness and ensure supporter insight and data analysis play a pivotal role in our marketing. Drive a test and learn approach to improve all of our outputs and ensuring learnings are effectively shared across the department, and recommendations implemented
- Develop a cohesive supporter experience ensuring alignment across all supporter touchpoints, to deepen engagement and drive long term value
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Significant experience in marketing including developing complex and integrated multi-channel marketing plans
- Extensive experience in Individual Giving acquisition programmes, including developing audience led marketing campaigns to acquire new regular giving donors
- Outstanding project management skills and experience with a proven ability to plan and manage activity that delivers complex projects on time and to budget
- Experience of effectively managing external partners, including knowledge and experience of working with media agencies to plan, buy and optimise paid media, creative agencies, telemarketing and fulfilment agencies
- Experience of developing fundraising and / or marketing assets to drive engagement and action
- Experience of developing engaging supporter journeys across channels to deepen engagement with supporters and drive further action
- Ability to provide technical leadership for the organisation in the delivery of marketing across channels including, DRTV, Paid Social, Display, PPC, Offline, Telemarketing and Email
- Experience of managing significant budgets
- Demonstrable experience of identifying needs and requirements across teams, delegating tasks and supporting squad team members to deliver against plans

The Head of Programmes is a critical role for the organisation, responsible for ensuring DEC funded programmes meet programmatic standards, are fully traceable, routinely monitored and comply with organisational procedures and institutional donors’ requirements. Our organisation secures over £1m in voluntary funding each year and our Grants Manager will play a vital role in securing and growing the broad range of voluntary support which allows to make exceptional art for social change. You will manage a rich portfolio of existing funder relationships across Trusts & Foundations, Corporate and Statutory income streams, in addition to researching and writing applications for new funding and working closely with the Delivery team on impact monitoring and reporting. You will cultivate and steward funder relationships and manage and represent the organisation at events run by, with and for existing and prospective funders, including establishing new funding connections for Cardboard Citizens in Hackney, following our recent move from Whitechapel to Hoxton.
Following this move and the launch of our film series More Than One Story in partnership with The Big Issue, this summer, you will be joining Cardboard Citizens at a time of growth, change and increased local and national exposure, as we plan for our longer-term future. We have targets in place to retain and increase income we receive from grants, which make up the majority of our annual income. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring Cardboard Citizens can deliver our programme year-on-year and continue to grow. Salary: £35,000+ (dependent on experience)

About you:
This role is for you, if you have fundraising experience with grants and foundations as well as corporate fundraising and/or new business acquisition experience. This means you will have experience in stewarding and securing new gifts from foundations as well as researching new opportunities to apply for funds.
You will also be skilled in understanding and translating complex information and turning it in to compelling written proposals, for grants, corporate partnerships and major donors.
You will be driven to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and be a sophisticated communicator with the confidence to build relationships with and inspire colleagues and donors.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people with experience of forced migration through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers refugees face in preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.STEP is open to all refugees, and people seeking asylum with the right to work.
Our strategy over the next 12 months is to refine and strengthen our programmes, with a focus on excellence, innovation and sustainability across STEP. Central to these efforts is adopting ‘Lean Impact’ principles across our organisation and ways of working, with the support of Spring Impact. The starting point of this work is the planning and pilot of STEP Online, an intensive version of STEP to fast track those who are highly skilled. We plan to explore, test and plan for this programme in consultancy with Spring Impact, leveraging their Lean Impact Methodology.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in leading this piece of work with two main objectives:
- Explore, test and plan for STEP Online. This will involve being the lead implementer of testing minimum viable products, participating in workshops and identified working groups, and co-leading on test coaching sessions and team reflections with Spring Impact.
