The role
With the growth in demand from businesses to join the B Corp movement, we have created this role to assist the Finance team with a range of activities as we move to a new accounting system that meets the needs and demands of our growing organisation. We outsource the day to day bookeeping work but the Sales Ledger invoicing will remain in house.
We are looking for a team member who has ideas and thoughts on how to improve the way we work and can input into the development of Finance Policy and Procedures.
Tasks and responsibilities will include:

Checking the finance email inbox and other forms of communication, dealing with queries, actioning and/or forwarding as appropriate and capturing all relevant information

Working with Finance Officer and other team members to ensure completeness of member data such as invoicing address, contact details, pricing and credit terms in relevant databases (Salesforce and Xledger)

Liaising with the outsourced service and internal staff members to ensure supplier queries are resolved and payments are made in a timely manner

Working with the Head of Finance to prepare year end information for the external audit

Working with the current Finance Officer to maintain a centralised record of all relevant communications.

Assist Debit Card holders with administrative tasks linked to card usage

Working with Finance staff to document and implement financial processes and procedures

The Role
In this role you will be one of the Governance Officers responsible for ensuring excellent service to our Council, Board and Committees. This will include:

The role
We are looking for a Trusts and Grants Officer to play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing success and expansion of our partnerships with trusts, foundations and statutory givers. Working closely with the Trusts and Grants Manager and four more team members, this new role will lead on nurturing low and mid-value relationships with prospective funders who have capacity to give ongoing funding to FareShare.

Develop personalised stewardship plans to deepen funder relationships. Craft compelling written communications including emails, proposals, and reports to showcase the impact of trust support and celebrate key milestones. Support on and lead calls, meetings and visits to strengthen funder partnerships and engagement with our work.
Support the Trusts & Grants Manager and wider team as needed, especially in instances where a complex funding application requires more than one team member to complete.
Maintain accurate records of partner interactions in our CRM system and shared files, and consistently update financial records and account plans.

What to expect in a fundraising role?
The Fundraising Officer role is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same.
A typical day will have different meetings, priorities and team projects. Corporate and University partnerships often involve supporting several different areas of a business or university with varying content, ideas and stewardship, including hosting supporters at our learning centres. Each fundraising area meets regularly to discuss challenges, new ideas and improvements, and the broader fundraising team meets monthly to reflect on progress to date and plan for the rest of the year ahead.

Purpose of the Role

Principal Responsibilities
The Communications Officer will support include the following areas:
- To offer support on a range of diverse projects and events to increase the profile and awareness of Chance to Shine
- To help with the planning, execution and analysis of communications and marketing campaigns throughout the year
