About the Role:

This new position will drive our income generation efforts through various channels and initiatives. You will develop and implement business development strategies to attract financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and potential donors. The role will proactively engage with donors, build relationships, and cultivate partnerships to create and maximise income generation to support our mission and programmes.

What You'll Do:

Drive development of Urban Synergy’s presence in business FTSE 250 and others, through successful inbound and outbound prospect and client engagement.

Research and identify potential funding sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and grant opportunities to build a meaningful opportunity pipeline.

Create comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with Urban Synergy’s organisational goals and mission.

Create, implement and manage fundraising campaigns and initiatives to maximise income generation.

Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors.

Develop donor cultivation plans, including personalised communications, events, and stewardship activities.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective donor engagement and recognition and explore new partnership opportunities.

Work closely with the Head of Programmes and Engagement and the Partnership Manager.

Identify relevant grant opportunities and draft compelling proposals ensuring timely their submission including reports, and related documentation.

Attend networking events, conferences, and community gatherings to expand the organisation's network and establish strategic partnerships.

Track and analyse income generation activities, prepare regular reports and revenue forecasts on fundraising progress, outcomes, and ROI.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in fundraising activities.

Who we are looking for:

Someone with substantial and demonstrable experience of working with corporates within FTSE 250 and the commercial sector. This includes proactively acquiring new partnerships and maximising existing relationships, including how to access the decision makers.

Have excellent presentation and negotiating skills, representing the charity in a range of settings and to a range of audiences.

Be a self-starter with strong sales and influencing skills, Able to work independently in particular in developing corporate fundraising products and tools.

Degree in Business, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience in income/revenue generation, fundraising, or new business sales, preferably within the nonprofit sector.

Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.

Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills, displaying a commitment to excellence and careful attention to detail.

Target driven with an ability to think strategically and develop and implement compelling fundraising strategies.

Strong organisational and project management skills.

Proficiency in fundraising software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of ethical fundraising practices and compliance regulations.

Collaborative and strategic builder.

Working closely with the Senior Programme Manager, MEAL Manager, Advocacy Manager, and Research and Technical Advisor, the Programmes Officer will ensure seamless coordination of activities, enhance data-driven decision-making processes, and contribute to impactful advocacy and research initiatives.

About the role

The Philanthropy Events Manager role is a new specialised role within the Development Office and will be responsible for planning and implementing strategic fundraising events in support of the University of London’s major fundraising campaign and other fundraising priorities. You will play a critical role in the successful delivery of the fundraising campaign through strategic focus on driving impactful events programme and donor engagement strategies.

Who are we looking for?

You will come with a proven track record of event management in HE or charity sector and of liaising and managing relationships with key stakeholders (alumni, volunteers, donors etc). We seek someone who has experience of working with colleagues across a complex organisation and with different levels of seniority, as well as well-developed strategic thinking skills with a methodical and structured approach. Crucially you will be able to prioritise workloads and utilise good organisational and time management skills to deliver on multiple activities simultaneously.

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.  

The Research team is at the heart of our efforts to learn what works and put it into practice. We do this by commissioning research (including qualitative research, systematic reviews of intervention evidence and data analysis), and using this research to write and publish guidance across YEF’s sectors of interest.

We would be especially interested to hear from you if:   

• You know a lot about policing and/or youth justice: You know the key ideas and debates, recent policy developments and key people. You’re comfortable talking about policing and/or youth justice with experts. There are many ways to acquire this knowledge. You might have worked in the police or youth justice, in associated organisations, or learnt about either during a degree. 

The Senior Research Manager will: 

• Lead the development of evidence-based recommendations in policing. 

• Lead the development of the YEF’s strategy and research agenda on policing and youth justice. 

• Become the YEF’s expert on policing and youth justice. 

• Develop great relationships with experts and represent YEF in external meetings and events. 

• Work with our Change Team to produce resources and accessible summaries for policing and youth justice colleagues on the evidence.

We are looking for a Giggle Doctor Programme Administrator to join our busy programme team, to support the day-to-day operations of our Giggle Doctor programme for hospitals.

This is a part-time, one-year contract to support the running of the Giggle Doctor programme while a member of the team is on maternity leave. We are flexible as to which days are worked, providing that the post-holder has a fixed working pattern over a minimum of 3 days per week. This post requires work from the office as well as some work from home. We will provide training to the successful candidate on how to fulfil the key tasks of the role.

Job Description

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Administration

· Act as first point of call for artists regarding their visits to hospitals, overseeing sickness, cover and changes to their schedules

· Support artists with hospital administration and contracts

· Keep artists updated with changes in Theodora Children’s Charity’s policies

· Process changes to the Giggle Doctor schedule on our internal systems

· Liaise with hospitals and keep them up to date with information about their programme of Giggle Doctor visits

· Set up meetings with hospitals, artists and Theodora Foundation colleagues as required

· Book long-distance travel and hotels for artists for hospital visits and training events when required

· Support the Finance Manager and Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with collecting and filing timesheets, invoices and receipts for payment

Training and Events

· Support the Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with events, including booking rooms, resources and catering

· Attend training events for Giggle Doctors, setting up and packing down as needed

Impact and Programme Monitoring

· Support the Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with monitoring Trainee and Junior Giggle Doctor’s progress and keeping records of their observation notes

· Support the Giggle Doctor Programme Manager with data capture and record keeping

· Take minutes and record actions during Programme Team meetings, Theodora Foundation meetings and office team meetings from time to time

• Utilise the charity’s CRM database to keep all records up to date and effectively progress supporter development.

HR and Safeguarding

· Act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead and follow safeguarding processes for recording safeguarding incidents in the Designated Safeguarding Lead’s absence.

• Run DBS checks for artists when required using the external Ucheck platform

AllChild is looking for a dynamic IT and Facilities Coordinator who possesses excellent organisational and communication skills.

As an IT and Facilities Coordinator, you will report to the Workspace Manager, providing comprehensive and generalist administrative support in facilities and IT management. You will provide event coordination and HR administration, ensuring productivity and efficiency. Engaging with multiple stakeholders, you will have the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.

This is a hands-on operational role supporting our colleagues through many milestones in the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to onboarding and offboarding. You will play a key role in building a welcoming and inclusive AllChild culture.

Some of your duties will include:

Purpose of the job/About the role

This is an exciting new opportunity to join the Brand and Marketing Team at Dementia UK playing a key role in the development, delivery and activation of our new brand.

As Senior Creative Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing design and creative work at Dementia UK, ensuring the effective development and application of our brand’s visual identity. You will apply high standards of design and production across a variety of outputs, both online and offline, while leading others to deliver impactful design solutions through freelancers and agencies.

In addition, you will recruit, and line manage a newly established Designer role and oversee the in-house design workflow, taking charge of our creative roster, animation projects, and brand sign off across the charity.

To succeed in this role, you will bring proven creative leadership and expertise in managing both online and offline assets. You should have extensive experience with Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, a deep knowledge of design principles, and a strong track record of managing external designers and agencies from briefing to final delivery. Additionally, you must be well-organised, proactive, and capable of prioritising your workload effectively, with strong project management and planning skills.

We're looking for two experienced bid and/or fundraising professionals to join our team as Bid and Fundraising Manager (internally known as Development Manager) on a permanent basis.

You'll be responsible for the development of a portfolio of donor relationships and will work across all parts of the proposal process from prospect research all the way through to submissions. As Development Manager, you'll work alongside the Associate Directors of Development to support their work in leading a range of funding opportunities. This includes central government contracts, local authority bids, corporate partnerships, and grants from trusts and foundations.

We would like you to:

• Contribute to and deliver successful strategies for securing funding opportunities, pinpointing key differentiators, understanding funders’ specific requirements and ensuring those are met 
•  Support the Associate Directors to develop, maintain and manage the pipeline, using research, analysis and planning skills. 
• Formulate and script high-quality bid responses and create high-quality proposal documents
• Work cross-organisationally to identify and assemble a team of SMEs (internal and external) to scope, define and capture the information required to prepare funding proposals 

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Associate Director, Development.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have a good understanding of funding/proposal preparation processes and experience in securing funding opportunities in the range of £50k-£100k.

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience of successfully cultivating relationships with funders such as trust, foundations, local authorities, corporates and major donors.

Whilst experience of securing funding from research institutions and knowledge of England's education and charity sectors are desirable, it is not essential for applying to this role.

If you can demonstrate team leadership skills and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-moving environment, managing multiple competing priorities and a complex workload whilst meeting deadlines effectively, we welcome an application from you.

Overall purpose

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for developing, leading and implementing key aspects of our communications and engagement strategy. Your focus will be to maintain our high reputation and build engagement with key audiences – principally target public audiences, corporate partners, funders and supporters, volunteers, clients, and staff. 

Bridging the gap between senior leadership and delivery, you will be a confident and strategic thinker, but remain excited by the challenge of getting stuck in. You will be comfortable supporting colleagues to deliver activity as well as working independently on your own projects. You will have the knowledge and experience to ensure that the right policies, frameworks and plans are in place for our small team to achieve ambitious plans.

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for campaigns, PR, content and storytelling, brand and creative, and plays an integral role in internal communications. They also support other external engagement activities, such as digital marketing campaigns, corporate partner acquisition and retention, and public fundraising.

Strong copywriting is essential for this role. You will be able to write, edit, and tailor content for different audiences, and publish it across various channels, including the website, social media, emails, and marketing materials. 

You will enjoy variety. Your day could involve operational planning, developing a new campaign, briefing freelancers and agencies, finding compelling stories, creating our Impact Report, speaking with journalists, working on internal communications, or drafting social media posts.

The successful candidate will have strong emotional intelligence, relationship building and negotiation skills. They will be collaborative and creative, drive projects forward, work effectively alongside the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, and bring people together across the organisation. They will provide supportive, effective management to the Communications and Campaigns Officer, and be an internal advocate for the impact our Communications and Engagement can have.

As a key part of our ambitious fundraising strategy, the Fundraising & Events Team Manager will lead on, shape and deliver activity to generate income around key areas including events, community, challenges and volunteer-led fundraising.

The post-holder will lead on a review of the business model of our events programme leading to recommendations as to the future direction of the programme, as well as leading on the delivery of the programme in areas under management.

Key Responsibilities:
