Summary of main responsibilities and accountabilities

Partnership Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development

· Working alongside the Tees & Tyne Regional Manager to respond to the needs of the programme, ensuring that our young people have meaningful encounters with a range of employers from a diversity of industries and sectors.

· Day-to-day operational account management for employer supporters, ensuring they have excellent experiences.

· Full partnership and operational account management for lower-level funders in your region.

· Promote the contribution of Career Ready and awareness of Career Ready to potential supporters and assist in engaging their commitment to give both practical and financial support.

· Engaging new corporate, third and public sector organisations to directly support the programme delivery, working with the Head of Programmes to launch and grow the Tees & Tyne Regional Action Board 

· Work with the Programmes and Partnership and Incomes teams to develop and deliver the overall employer engagement strategy for the area ensuring that the number of mentors is matched with the paid internship commitment and that employer volunteers are in place for masterclass delivery and workplace visits.

· Working with the Partnership Manager leading the relationship with BP to help generate leads with local businesses that are connected to BP’s activity in the region.

The Philanthropy Events Manager role is a new specialised role within the Development Office and will be responsible for planning and implementing strategic fundraising events in support of the University of London’s major fundraising campaign and other fundraising priorities. The Research team is at the heart of our efforts to learn what works and put it into practice. We do this by commissioning research (including qualitative research, systematic reviews of intervention evidence and data analysis), and using this research to write and publish guidance across YEF’s sectors of interest.

We would be especially interested to hear from you if:   

• You know a lot about policing and/or youth justice: You know the key ideas and debates, recent policy developments and key people. You’re comfortable talking about policing and/or youth justice with experts. There are many ways to acquire this knowledge. You might have worked in the police or youth justice, in associated organisations, or learnt about either during a degree. 

The Senior Research Manager will: 

• Lead the development of evidence-based recommendations in policing. 

• Lead the development of the YEF’s strategy and research agenda on policing and youth justice. 

• Become the YEF’s expert on policing and youth justice. 

• Develop great relationships with experts and represent YEF in external meetings and events. 

• Work with our Change Team to produce resources and accessible summaries for policing and youth justice colleagues on the evidence.

• Produce accessible summaries of YEF evaluation reports that can be used by policy makers, practitioners and service commissioners.

The Philanthropy Manager will manage a portfolio of key philanthropic relationships and increase the value of the relationships with existing supporters. You will maximise income from philanthropists through new initiatives and promotion of a range of activities, including regular events.  The Philanthropy Manager will create and develop giving circles too and will work to an agreed plan for each approach and actively solicit gifts personally where appropriate.

The selected candidate will have an established track record in philanthropy or fundraising for major organisations and a demonstrated success in managing a portfolio of high value relationships. You will bring a balance of experience and innovation and will ideally have an understanding of the art forms of opera, ballet, music and dance.

You will play a crucial role in assisting Employment Advisors to provide employment support to refugee clients across the UK.

• Supporting with administration and management of programmes, including regular reporting
• Supporting Employment Advisors with client referrals and other general support
• Assisting with the ongoing monitoring and impact measurement of programmes
• Analysing results and identify trends to use data to drive changes and improve quality of programmes.

• Supporting referral process and management of referrals

• Triaging enquiries from case workers and public

About you

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Previous administrative / team support experience
• A high level of administrative skills including a good knowledge of Microsoft packages and databases
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy across every aspect of your work
• High levels of efficiency and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Ability to use your own initiative and make independent decisions.
