As the Finance and Operations Director & Deputy Chief Executive, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that Pharmacist Support is financially sustainable and operationally efficient. With 1 in 5 children struggling with their mental health, our surf therapy intervention is needed now more than ever. We transform the lives of children struggling with depression and anxiety. Through our 6 week course we help them to feel calm, confident, to have positive thoughts about themselves, to have higher self esteem and trust in others. We work with over 2000 children and young people across the UK every year and have reached over 14,000 over the past 14 years.
It is an exciting time to join the charity - we have a new CEO in post who has plans to take this charity to new heights - reaching even more children than ever before and we need an experienced fundraiser who can help us achieve that vision. Working as part of a small fundraising team you will have the ability to really make a substantial difference.
The role is advertised as 15 hours however there is the hope that this will end up being increased in the not too distant future. Key Details

We are seeking a part-time Family Practitioner who will support families with blind and partially sighted children and young people to develop improved emotional wellbeing, resilience, and coping strategies.
This post will cover Central and Southern London, so the ability to travel across the city will be an advantage. You’ll be part of a remote England and Wales wide Family Practitioner team, who work closely together to draw on each other’s skills and experience to ensure families receive the best service from RSBC.
The team link together to run online groups that further support families, and this work may be in the evenings. The team meet weekly online and come together in person for two-day team training at our London office at least twice a year.
The main purpose of this role is to:
· To establish and maintain a case load of families with blind and partially sighted children and young people aged 0 to 25 who identify themselves as needing support.
· To undertake family assessments to identify specific areas of need; to identify and deliver appropriate interventions that will promote children’s development and emotional wellbeing in collaboration with family members and make and support onward referrals as required.
· To ensure that support is high quality and meets the high standard that RSBC sets, with pre agreed performance indicators.
The ideal candidate will ideally have a qualification that demonstrates the ability to establish a trusting and open relationship with families and CYP. You’ll be experienced in providing emotional wellbeing support with families directly and have knowledge of child development from experience or qualification. You’ll know about family systems/systemic practice – from experience or qualification as well as knowledge and practical experience of using family centred interventions in collaboration with families. We’d like you to have excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong teamwork ethic to fit in with our friendly and knowledgeable team of Family Practitioners across England and Wales.

The Head of Programmes is a critical role for the organisation, responsible for ensuring DEC funded programmes meet programmatic standards, are fully traceable, routinely monitored and comply with organisational procedures and institutional donors’ requirements. In addition, the Head of Programmes is also appointed as the Serious Incident Reporting (SIR) Officer, serving as the first point of contact for member agencies to report incidents regarding safeguarding, financial misconduct and reputational risk.

Communication and Collaboration

Analysis and Reporting
- Provide oversight to the review and analysis of member charity appeal budget plans and financial reports with a focus on compliance with DEC policies and good practice guidelines to assess unusual variances and value for money considerations.
- Deliver and contribute to timely and high-quality infographics, reports and briefings for key stakeholders and institutional donors including Board of Trustees, FCDO and BBC.

As Exams Assistant you will support the day to day running of the examinations with a particular focus on question bank management. You will be working with the Examinations Team and examiners across all specialties. The Data and Operations Senior Officer is responsible for the daily management and effective operation of the Bliss CRM, Raiser’s Edge, as well as leading on key data projects to make the most of the insights and information captured in our CRM to maximise Bliss’ fundraising. This role also leads on the delivery and development of data processes which are smooth, timely and efficient, and works with stakeholders across the organisation - especially Fundraising, Finance and Digital - to ensure that colleagues have access to the right data and efficient processes to meet their needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take ownership of Bliss’ data operations, helping to support our Fundraising department – and the wider organisation – to make the best use of our CRM systems, supporter data, and internal resources to raise more money and reach more families. This role will act as Bliss’ internal subject matter expert for all things data, and will line manage the Data Officer. They will be responsible for the efficient import, export and analysis of Bliss’ data, and will support teams across the organisation to better use of their data to meet their objectives.
