The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation is the international charity that drives and encourages the Award’s growth, access and impact across the globe. Working in partnership with organisations and governing bodies, we oversee the licensing of Award operators – including schools, youth groups, employers and custodial institutions.
The role of the Operations Manager is to support the delivery and growth of the Award through provision of guidance and support to a cohort of existing Operators – a network of local, regional and national organisations around the world, licensed directly by the Foundation to deliver or manage the Award.
The role provides support and operational advice to existing Operators, across the world, ensure access to and uptake of Foundation tools and resources, whilst supporting and sharing best practices across the network.
Where required there will also be a new business development aspect to the role.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting operators to ensure their continued growth and sustainability.
- Support the delivery and management of a high-quality Award programme, that meets international standards, across a portfolio of Operators.
- Ensure effective and consistent day to day contact and support for Operators ensuring high levels of customer service.
- Induct and provide ongoing operational support to staff and volunteers in Operators Work with staff and volunteers of Operators to develop practical solutions to maintain and continually improve the quality of Award programme delivery, including approaches to increase levels of participation and completion.
- In partnership with the Licensing Manager and other colleagues schedule and conduct compliance and licence reviews of Operators in accordance with licensing requirements
- Actively promote the benefits of the Award (and non-formal education and learning), representing the Award and Foundation at relevant events (virtual and in person)
- Where required recruit, licence and induct new Operators to grow the Award.
- Provide support for, delivery and facilitation of training, with the Learning & Development team.
- Actively promote and support the adoption of the Foundation’s digital platforms
- Ensure engagement, in global campaigns to promote the Award.
- Ensure brand compliance across all Operators.

Job Purpose
Provide a fully person-centred Support Worker/Case Management service, including assessment, recovery planning, co-ordination, and review, for veterans and their families. Working collaboratively as part of our wider Recovery Services Directorate, you will identify need, create support pathways (internal and external), and co-ordinate structured support plans where beneficiaries have multi-dimensional or more intensive needs.
The requirement for collaborative practice extends to supporting, as required, hybrid and blended models of service provision including the design and delivery of group programmes, promoting engagement opportunities and community activation. The provision of accessible services is achieved through utilising opportunities for physical, remote, and digital delivery methods.
Informed by a strengths/asset-based approach, the Support Worker/Case Manager will work to an ethos which nurtures and harnesses beneficiary confidence, competence, attributes, skills, and knowledge by promoting engagement, purposeful participation, and independence. SCOPE OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of the Foundation and working with the trustees, you will provide operational management relating to all aspects of the Foundation. To work with other key partners to extend the scope of services and appropriate grants that we can offer beneficiaries and clearly demonstrate and promote the positive impact of the Foundation.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain existing and develop new partnerships with statutory, voluntary and private sector organisations for the benefit of our communities.
· Develop and manage initiatives, events and campaigns, working with respective Northern Powergrid teams to increase engagement in our mission and ensure we can measure the impact.
· Be a known face of the Northern Powergrid Foundation, recognised in our communities to build a positive brand image.
· Ensure you are managing the Foundation in accordance with our commitment to DEI, creating social impact through funding and partnerships delivering to a broad range of recipients
· Manage all operational activity of the Foundation according to the strategic direction provided by the Board including grant making, stakeholder management, communications and marketing.
· Have a key role in the delivery of the Foundation annual business plan.
· Be responsible for planning and delivering a range of support, services and financial grants for communities whose primary focus is to build energy resilience, reduce fuel poverty and contribute to net zero.
· Ensure robust and clear processes for awarding grants in line with their funding principles.
· Be responsible for all aspects of service delivery, grants and performance, including monitoring and reporting
· Provide relevant information to enable effective reporting to the Board of Trustees, providing board reports and accurate, up to date information pertaining to funding and community engagement by the Foundation.
· Ensure income and expenditure are correctly recorded in the accounts and a high-quality audit trail maintained.
· Work in partnership with external partners to drive awareness, identify beneficiaries and engage with the wider community.
· Supporting the updates and revisions to the charity’s business plan and funding strategy in accordance with the Boards strategic direction.
· Develop and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with the board’s strategic direction.
· Undertake any other relevant duties within the overall scope of the role, as requested by the Trustees.

About the role
We are seeking a Head of Development and Partnerships to join our Senior Management Team alongside the CEO, Head of Programmes and Head of Finance and Operations.

Currently we hold a single commercial contract worth around £3m per year delivered through 12 libraries. Main purpose of role:
- Support the delivery of commercial projects across the library sector

POSITION SUMMARY
This is a critical role in the organisation, reporting to the Senior Director - Innovation. The role is responsible for the implementation, oversight and continued improvement of the organisation’s security risk management framework and processes.
The Security Manager will support both our own project teams as well as the work we do with partners which includes training and accompaniment on human rights documentation and the security risk management necessary to do this work safely. We also oversee a project providing ad-hoc advice directly to non-violent social movement activists which this role will manage.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure Videre’s Security Risk Management framework is up to date, efficient and effective.
- Conduct regular Security Risk Assessments (jointly with relevant Managers and Teams) for areas of programme operations, partner locations and other areas of risk.
- Develop and maintain Safety and Security Management Plans and SOPs for projects, and ensure relevant staff are familiar with its contents.

- Provide proactive safety security management advice, guidance and support.

About The Hygiene Bank
Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted. The reality of low income is that it restricts people’s options, leaving us caught between being able to heat our homes, pay the rent, eat, or be clean. It is washing hair, bodies, faces and clothes in the same cheap washing up liquid used for the dishes. It is not being able to replace a toothbrush when needed or sharing a toothbrush because one each just isn't an option. It is having to choose between shaving foam and razors or the transport fare to a job interview.
Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. In May 2024, The Hygiene Bank published their second groundbreaking research into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 4.2 million adults across the country are currently experiencing hygiene poverty and that it is both alarmingly widespread, increasing and disproportionately impacts the most vulnerable. It stops people from participating in society, feeds the mental health crisis and blocks routes out of poverty. It is simply unjust.

About the Role
As one of our team of four Partnership Managers, you will have the exciting opportunity to make a huge difference in improving the lives of people living in hygiene poverty. Reporting into the Head Operations, the Partnership Managers plays a pivotal role in the charity and are responsible for overseeing and co-piloting our volunteer lead community projects.
The role is varied and requires strong time management, organisational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, meticulous record keeping and strong volunteer management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Volunteer Experience Manager to actively recruit volunteers in key areas, in line with our strategic objectives.
- Onboard new projects by supporting the volunteer project coordinator with all aspects of setting up a community project.
