Populo Living are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a permanent Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning. Populo Living is a development and housing company wholly owned by a single shareholder, Newham Council. Populo Living enable Newham to keep control of Council land and build high quality, low carbon homes and neighbourhoods whilst retaining the developer profit for Newham Council, in the form of new affordable homes and long-term investment income.

The role of Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning will lead, manage and co-ordinate the provision of the Groups Financial Planning, Treasury Management Services and Management Accounting functions as well as assist the Finance Director to lead and manage the Finance team.

The role:

• Lead, manage and motivate a team of four with two direct reports.
• Lead on all treasury related matters for the group such as arranging new funding, loan compliance, cashflow and banking.
• Lead on the organisation’s annual financial plan, including extensive sensitivity analysis of key performance indicators.
• Lead on the review of management accounts and production of board papers.
• Attend relevant committees and board meetings as required.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders.
• Deputise for the Director of Finance and Resources as required.
• Support the Financial Controller to deliver year end accounts.

• Oversee cashflow forecasting, managing all cash and loan balances.

Essential criteria:

• Fully qualified Accountant.

Position Summary

The Global Center is seeking an early/mid-career professional to support capacity development programming that advances equitable collaboration between civil society, government, private sector, and multilateral actors to realize a more just and secure world.

Working under the supervision of colleagues addressing cross-cutting thematic and geographic programs, the successful candidate has a demonstrated passion for human rights, security, and development and is keen to contribute their skills to a diverse range of programs.

The position will initially support Global Center programs on rehabilitation and reintegration of former terrorism offenders in Bangladesh and Indonesia, as well as other Global Center projects relating to countering the financing of terrorism and other related issues. As needed, other engagements may include work to empower civil society, advance justice and good governance, and influence national, regional, and international security policy and practice.

Working alongside staff in London, Nairobi, New York, or DC you will collaborate with international experts, project partners, and funders to develop and implement programs globally, including regular travel to countries of operation.

Responsibilities will include a range of operational and administrative tasks in support of Global Center’s programs, including contributing to planning, delivery, evaluation and program activities; logistical planning, coordination, and execution of events and meetings; drafting and editing of project documents, correspondence, and meeting materials; data entry; note taking; research assistance; communication with partners, diplomats and vendors; database management and contacts maintenance; as well as other tasks as assigned.

Global Director of Campaigns

Contract: Permanent, Full time

Salary: Salaries and benefits for different countries will vary in line with the location of the successful candidate and depending on experience. For UK-based: £71,687 – £81,430 per annum with excellent benefits or equivalent established grade 1B salary and benefits in the country of employment.

Achieving universal, sustainable WASH will require a major mobilisation of resources, public demand and political will.  The successful candidate will build campaigns that drive that public demand, playing a pivotal role in driving forward this agenda, delivering improvements in the lives of millions of the world’s poorest people.

In this role, you will: 

1. Vision and direction

• Articulate a clear vision for the organisation’s campaigning; lead the organisation and the team to implement this vision and help deliver an increase in the scale and impact of WaterAid’s global influence to accelerate progress towards SDG6;

2. Global Campaign Plans

• Lead the design and implementation of WaterAid’s priority global campaigns to maximise WaterAid’s influence on global and national political debates, working in partnership with senior leaders across the organisation.
• In partnership with the Global Policy and Advocacy Director, ensure WaterAid’s campaigns and advocacy are rooted in robust evidence and credible policy analysis;
• In partnership with WaterAid’s International Affairs Director, work to strategically influence and position the organisation’s key campaign agendas in international and multilateral fora.

5. Leadership and management

• As a member of the Department’s Senior Management Team, take shared responsibility for shaping both the department and WaterAid’s strategic global campaigns approach, championing a matrix style of working with teams and colleagues around the world;
• Work in partnership with the Global Director of Policy and the Global Director of International Affairs to maximise the synergies between the Policy, Campaigns and International Affairs teams, encourage a team culture of strategic collaboration and ways of working that foster the breaking down of silos; 
• Line manage the two Head of Campaigns; lead the team effectively, with a strong focus on individual performance management, team cohesion and integration within both the department and the wider organisation, in accordance with the core values of WaterAid;

About You:

• A proven track record of leading successful international campaigning and advocacy initiatives, including through influencing institutions and governments, mobilising constituencies and achieving ambitious political change;
• Proven experience of mobilising the public on SDG thematic areas.
• A keen political ‘savviness’ and an awareness of the potential for achieving political change primarily, with a demonstrated track record of both insider and outsider approaches and sophisticated understanding of when and how to apply them;
• A strategic and innovative thinker with the ability to deliver tangible results. Someone who embraces complexity and uncertainty;
• A creative force, with an understanding of how to turn a strategy into a campaign.
• Experience of leading, managing and motivating others and driving change;

As the Admin Officer, you will be a critical part of the Global Secretariat- helping to link the different parts of the RWA together and co-ordinate with our partners around the world.

About the Role:

You will work with the Senior Management Team to ensure the team can deliver our work to the high standards we set for ourselves. As the RWA delivers its ambitious programme of work the post holder will ensure we are delivering high quality events, prompt and regular engagement with key stakeholders, and rapid and consistent processing of contracts, payments and reporting for donors and suppliers. You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside health professionals in a hospital environment, although we will consider applicants from other fields providing you are able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse. You must be comfortable with running group training sessions and be willing and able to share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital. Excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key.

Job Overview

The Video Editor will be responsible for post-production edits of video deliverables. The candidate must be a visual storyteller, capable of delivering compelling and engaging stories about the IRC’s response to emergencies and crises and the people who are impacted.

This position reports to the Associate Director of Content, collaborating with the Sr. Video Editor, video editor, freelance editors, and producers on editing and delivering video products that will be used for major integrated priorities and campaigns for all marketing efforts and audience segments.

 Major Responsibilities

● Deliver finished video for various platforms and distribution needs, which includes editing together raw footage and audio, photo stills, graphics, adapting archival video, and versioning

● Collaborate with Content team, Creative & Content Studio, and stakeholders on creative idea pitches, and deliver on creative briefs

● Source broll for video projects, campaigns, external vendors and partners via internal library and paid footage

● Onboard vendors/freelancers/agencies

● Searching for stock music tracks based on references or direction

● Color correct footage

● Time manage assigned tasks

● Maintain and add to roster of vendor talent, including videographers, editors, sound engineers, graphic artists, narrators, translators, transcription services, musicians, colorists, coordinating with the content team

● Supports in storage and organization of all video content, backups, and gear updates/repairs/rentals meet, as well as procurement of new equipment meet standards, in collaboration with the Video Producer and Multimedia Producer

● Ensure videos meet brand guidelines

Job Requirements:

● Portfolio of work, including short-form social media videos, long-form documentary style, commercials, and/or fundraising appeals, etc.

● Use a variety of technical skills and software to complete production, including Final Cut Pro Adobe Premiere, and After Effects

● Experience in sound design, color correction/grading, video quality enhancement, and/or graphics/animation

● A problem solver who’s able to navigate complexity and ambiguity to get to the heart of and cultivate a great story

● Experience supporting projects and collaborating with multiple internal and external partners.

● Ability to take direction and work independently to bring the vision and story to life

● Ability to balance multiple projects on deadlines

● Strong attention to detail while balancing multiple projects simultaneously

● Proficient in non-fiction writing/journalism

● Excellent interpersonal skills

About the role:

This role is a hybrid working role co-located in the Housing department of Merton Civic Centre. As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

• Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
• Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.

You will need:

• Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
• Have a good understanding of domestic abuse including the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• Direct service delivery to victims of domestic abuse or other vulnerable people.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. Understand and be committed to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.
• Have a strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.
