Who we are.
Phoenix Futures is founded on a passion for showing that recovery from drugs and alcohol is possible. We support people by providing residential, community, prison, and specialist services across the UK, offering psychosocial support to aid people on their journey of recovery. We are experts in people, understanding the influence of psychological factors and the surrounding social environment on their physical and mental health and wellbeing.
About these roles.
We are looking to appoint a new clinical trustee, who will also be part of the Clinical Governance Committee, and new finance trustee, who will also be part of the Audit, Control and Investment Committee.
With the Chair and other Board members, these new trustees will be responsible for the direction, management, and control of Phoenix Futures through involvement with strategy formulation and monitoring, risk management and internal control.
Who we are looking for.
Ideally you will come with an understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of trusteeship, along with specific professional knowledge, experience, and skills in clinical governance or finance. A background in either health, criminal justice, social care, or civil service, although not essential. Willingness to devote time, enthusiasm and effort to the duties and responsibilities of a trustee will be crucial.
We welcome both experienced trustees and those looking to take on their first trusteeship, and we want to welcome people of all ages and backgrounds to further diversify the Board.

We are looking for a volunteer to support us with collecting food donations from local stores. Do you enjoy being out and about in the community? The role would involve travelling to stores around the local area to collect food donations, and then delivering these to the service.
The donations will be approximately a bin bag full so may be more suitable for someone who drives and has a car but the locations are a few stops on the tube from the service. The locations of the collections are around Victoria and Waterloo and will be delivered back to the service in Lambeth. Please note that all travel expenses will be reimbursed!

We are now searching for new Trustees to join our Board in 2025 to help us to continue to ensure that those working in music can thrive.

Global’s Make Some Noise is the in-house grant-making charity of Global, the Media and Entertainment group. We harness the assets of Global to raise funds, awareness and skills for small charities supporting the people who need it most in their communities.
We have proudly raised over £34 million for more than 400 UK charities since our launch in 2014. Last year we funded crucial work at 59 charities across the country, granting over £2.5m. A further 20 charities benefitted from access to small grants to achieve a transformational organisation development aim. This financial support will change more than 24,000 lives in the UK, with thousands more family members indirectly benefitting.

The Role
This is your opportunity to make a real impact for communities across the UK. We’re looking for a driven, passionate, and ambitious individual to join our Board of Trustees and lead our new Philanthropy Development Committee (PDC), with the aim of raising £1 million over the next two years. As Chair of the PDC, you will create this Committee, help shape its terms of reference, and recruit its members, drawing on a mix of high net worth individuals, foundations, and possibly corporates. You’ll be supported by our charity team in these endeavours and will also provide guidance and advice to our team on its outreach. Join our amazing team and make a real difference to people living with sight loss. Help create a welcoming and safe environment for people to share their experiences, ask questions and support each other and connect with a local community in a group setting via Facebook. In this role you will be: • Managing group membership – authorising Requests to Join. • Creating a warm and welcoming environment. • Supporting group conversations. • Working with a Volunteer Moderator Team to create engaging content for the Group. • Ensuring House Rules are followed and content is appropriate. What skills and experience are needed?
- An understanding and interest in maximising the benefits of social media platforms. A willingness to learn about local services and activities to inform the community as appropriate. Interested in helping people get the information they need. Good communication skills.
