You'll support the team to help drive engagement and reach on social media to increase awareness of our work. You'll have a passion for storytelling, whilst utilising your written communication skills to tailor compelling messages for our different audiences, ensuring we are engaging our audiences in the most effective way.
You'll have a creative eye and knowledge about different formats that can be used to tell our story, from videos and images to graphics. You'll manage our social media channels – Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram – on a daily basis. You'll develop a wide range of digital content aimed at engaging our primary audiences of autistic children and young people and their families through online channels.

AFH has taken a leadership role on advocacy for the ongoing conflict in Gaza and has a long history of being a thought leader on the humanitarian crisis in Syria. In order to help achieve this goal, AFH is recruiting an Advocacy & Policy Manager, where the successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Communications, manage and strengthen AFH’s advocacy campaigns, and develop and build networks to support our advocacy efforts. The Advocacy & Policy Manager will advocate the humanitarian needs stemming from the crises in Gaza, Syria, Yemen and other contexts in which the organisation works. Your accountabilities as our Advocacy & Policy Manager will include the following:
Building external relations
- Lead on creating and executing an Advocacy strategy and relationship-building plan to ensure AFH is well connected and respected amongst key stakeholders including politicians, policy makers, governing bodies, other NGOs, etc. Regularly seek new opportunities to enhance external relations.
- Represent AFH in advocacy meetings, humanitarian coordination and other forums, conferences, events, and working groups, leading as many as possible.

Position Title: Senior Development Manager, Donor Network

What you’ll be doing (Key Responsibilities):
1. Fundraising Strategy Implementation:

Support the Director of Strategic Development to develop and refine fundraising and partnership goals and objectives.

Execute the organisation’s fundraising strategy, working as part of the Development Team towards a shared target, with a focus on major gifts.

Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, populating the organisation’s pipeline, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and project needs

2. Strive Network Management and Development/ Donor Community Development:

Lead the management and growth of a mission-aligned network, engaging high-net-worth individuals, including those who participate in Strive Challenges.

Develop and implement strategies to deepen relationships within the Strive Network, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

Work with our comms and marketing team to develop the donor network’s shared purpose, vision statement, brand identity and visibility.

Oversee the careful research, qualification and stewarding of new partnerships that will help to enrich and evolve the Strive network towards inclusivity and participatory approaches.

Co-develop value propositions with existing members of the Network to encourage others to join the group.

Create opportunities for the Strive Network to connect with and add value to our community of changemakers on the ground (eg. mentoring, connections, follow on funding).
3. Major Donor Engagement:

Lead on relationship management with existing major donors, designing tailored stewardship and ensuring ongoing engagement.

Review, evaluate and further develop key touchpoints with major donors, collaborating with team members across the organisation and other funders where appropriate.

Accountable for the identification, cultivation, and welcoming of new major donor prospects, with a focus on diversifying and expanding the Strive Network beyond its current reach.

Oversee the production of personalised proposals, presentations and reports, sparking ongoing engagement with the network and linking their contributions to Big Change’s community and impact.

Earlier this year, we built a brand-new events function, and we’re looking for the final member to join this small but perfectly formed team of professionals (team consists of a Senior Events and Sponsorship Coordinator, and two Events and Sponsorship Coordinators).

Your profile
To assist in coordinating and project managing a varied portfolio of events, including an annual member conference, internal staff events, roundtables, and a range of face-to-face and online events as well as overseeing the ETF’s presence at sector trade shows and conferences.
To work with the events manager to proactively seek impactful speaking and sponsorship opportunities to help build the profile and raise awareness of our work within the FE and Skills sector.
To track the events budget, including regular reporting and tracking on spend.

World Jewish Relief created the Specialist Training and Employment Programme (STEP) for refugees in 2016 and today we are the largest provider of specialist employment support to refugees in the UK.STEP aims to support and empower people with experience of forced migration through a tailored employment programme that addresses the complex barriers refugees face in preparing for, and ultimately finding, work in the UK.STEP is open to all refugees, and people seeking asylum with the right to work.
Our strategy over the next 12 months is to refine and strengthen our programmes, with a focus on excellence, innovation and sustainability across STEP. Central to these efforts is adopting ‘Lean Impact’ principles across our organisation and ways of working, with the support of Spring Impact. The starting point of this work is the planning and pilot of STEP Online, an intensive version of STEP to fast track those who are highly skilled. We plan to explore, test and plan for this programme in consultancy with Spring Impact, leveraging their Lean Impact Methodology.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in leading this piece of work with two main objectives:

akt is the UK’s national LGBTQ Youth Homelessness charity. We provide safe homes, mentoring, and support to ensure that no young person needs to choose between a safe home and being who they are. 24% of young people facing homelessness in the UK identify as LGBT (National Scoping of LGBT Youth Homelessness, akt, 2015) and 78% of LGBTQ+ young people cited an absence of family support (The LGBTQ+ Youth Homelessness Report, akt, 2021). The Team
This role sits within akt as part of the Digital team and is supervised by the Senior Services Manager.
Job Summary

- Support, develop and supervise staff, students and volunteers building a strong and dynamic team culture, and ensure the Team understands, recognises, and meets the needs and expectations of akt’s service users.
- To work as part of the Services Management team and wider akt Management team, attend relevant meetings and complete actionable tasks.
