Job description

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of those living in Cambridgeshire?

Care Network Cambridgeshire is a registered charity working with adults to provide practical and emotional support to people after hospital stays or during periods of ill-health, empowering people to live happier, healthier, and independent lives. We work alongside local people to improve confidence and connections, and we’re committed to finding innovative ways to support our local communities, filling gaps in health and social care services.

Our vision is for individuals to choose their own independent lifestyle and social activities, provided with the information and support they need. Our aim is that health and well-being of individuals is improved or maintained, hospital stays are minimised, and recovery is as fast as possible.

Last year our services received 3,832 referrals for help, from these we made over 16,000 contacts with local people, providing support when they most needed help. Our wonderful team of volunteers helped us to achieve this, providing 452 hours of assistance.

Are you looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fundraising Officer to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis, working 20 hours per week.

We offer: -

Ø  Salary of £35,000, pro rata

Ø  NEST pension scheme with 4% employer contributions

Ø  Flexible, hybrid working.

Ø  Employee assistance Plan

Ø  Real Living Wage accreditation

You will create, implement and drive our major fundraising strategy and will be responsible for raising income to help support our Charity’s services through grants, Trusts and corporate connections.

You will manage relationships with donors, build new relationships, and report the impact of our Charity to all key stakeholders.  Your success will ensure that Care Network Cambridgeshire can continue to provide support to our local communities in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

We are looking for someone with proven experience in a fundraising or similar role, with an excellent knowledge of fundraising legislation and guidance. You should have strong networking and relationship building skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

We are committed to promoting equality and we value diversity, with the aim to recruit a team which reflects the communities we serve. We hold a Carer’s Tick accreditation and have signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge. All employment is decided based on qualifications, experience, and ability.

If you would like to apply please send a CV and a covering letter in the format of your choice explaining why you wish to be considered and how you meet the requirements of the role

Note, applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
