Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Delivery Assistant to join the Devon and Cornwall Victim Support team, working 37.5 hours a week. This is a hybrid working role; the majority of working hours will be spent in our office in Plymouth and the remainder working from home, so a suitable and confidential space is required.

About the role:

This is a hybrid working role with the majority of working hours spent in our new office in Plymouth and the remainder working from home. Therefore, residence in the Devon & Cornwall area and a confidential home work space is required.

As a Service Delivery Assistant you will be:

Providing a high quality and responsive administrative function for the service and whole team including Health and Safety, finance, fundraising, social media and data entry on to case management systems

Maintaining the day to day use of the VS office

Involved in some client contact through answering the local Helpline and gaining client satisfaction feedback

Working with the staff and volunteer team to provide a seamless service to clients.

You will need:

  • Experience of working in an administrative role and undertaking a variety of administrative duties
  • Experience of working in a client focused service area or setting
  • Experience of working and adhering to policies, processes and procedures
  • Excellent IT skills and conversant with all packages in the standard Microsoft Office suite and case management systems/databases
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of individuals and audiences
  • Resilience when speaking with those affected by crime and reading notes on their experiences
  • Excellent record keeping skills with a focus on quality and accuracy.
