Dreamflight is an independent UK charity that provides amazing holidays for children with a serious illness or disability.

Since 1987 we have taken over 6,500 children on their holiday of a lifetime to Orlando and in recent years have expanded to also offer exciting activity holidays in the UK. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To work with the Head of Fundraising & Communications in order to:

· Fully support individuals, Fundraising Groups and organisations who are fundraising for Dreamflight

· Maintain relationships with third party event companies, fundraising platforms etc in order to maximise income

· Grow income over the next five years by actively securing funds from existing and new income streams including individuals, corporates, legacies and Trust/Foundations

· Ensure a varied portfolio of fundraising activities are available, including developing and organising new events

· Represent Dreamflight at community events, to raise funds and awareness (including building new relationships with the small to medium local business community, local groups, societies and faith organisations)

· Ensure all fundraising activities conform to regulations, legal requirements, best practice, organisational policy, branding etc and complete all necessary returns

· Maintain accurate records on all fundraising activity via the Salesforce database

· Report back on a regular basis to the Head of Fundraising and Communications

· Ensure donors and fundraisers are consistently and appropriately thanked

· Complete ad-hoc projects/duties as and when they arise. Dreamflight has a small office team, and all staff members must be flexible regarding duties to be undertaken

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young adults with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes.

Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family; including overnight care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much, much more. 

It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. Statutory funding makes up 16% of this amount and the rest is raised through fundraising activity.

Our services include overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. We are seeking a Care Administrator to work alongside our Senior Care Administrator, offering clerical support to our nursing and family support teams. The role involves providing administrative support for our Care Leadership Team, maintaining accurate care records, supporting referral and allocation processes and most importantly being a first point of contact for children and families accessing the hospice.

The requirements:

To fulfil the role effectively you will be an organised and caring person, with excellent attention to detail and able to work flexibly and collaboratively across the care services.

You will ideally have experience of working in an environment with children and families who have complex needs but this is not essential.

As the Peer to Peer Groupwork Facilitator you will set up, lead and deliver a year-long peer to peer group programme for bereaved families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child.

The groupwork is based on a programme led by Harvard University and Boston’s Children’s hospital and has structured sessions drawing upon psychological model of CBT, although the sessions are not therapeutic. Each session has a theme and incorporates education, guidance and support.

You will establish and deliver a new peer online support group, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery and creating a safe and welcoming space for bereaved families.

Outside the group sessions you will be responsible for managing the administration and evaluation of the service, including and collection of questionnaires and feedback required for reporting purposes and supporting members with any signposting requirements processing referrals, carrying out eligibility screening, monitoring the waiting list and inputting and keeping all database member and service records up to date.

It is a key time to be joining the charity and helping us to continue to save babies’ lives and support bereaved families. The charity has been hugely successful, but the work is far from done. The impact of the sudden death of a baby is wide and never goes away, as we know from the families that we support. This drives all our work, across each department. Job purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is an out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. The service operates 365 days a year from 12:00 (midday)-11:30pm across all of our boroughs. 

​We have 3 positions available. Two full time positions at our Hammersmith & Fulham and Ealing sites, and one part time (3 days a week) at our Hounslow site.

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in HFEH.
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation, planned wellbeing activities etc. 
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
• To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
• To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis.

Our Greenwich Counselling Service, including our culturally specific Asian service, has been offering free counselling to Greenwich borough residents for more than 40 years. It has grown organically from telephone counselling and crisis intervention to longer term and culturally specific counselling and relationship work. This is an exciting opportunity for a Gateway Assessor or Advice Worker with a minimum of three months experience to be fast tracked through the full Citizens Advice Generalist Adviser training programme. Once having completed an initial four weeks training period you will be allocated to work on one of a range of different projects and services providing direct advice to the public and undertaking casework on social welfare law issues.

• You must be a trained Gateway Assessor with a minimum of three months experience 
• An understanding of the advice needs and issues of the local community in a diverse inner-city area
• To understand, empathise with and be committed to the Service’s aims, principles and equal opportunities policies
