As an Assessment and Reconnection Worker, you will:

They provide a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough. They are currently looking for people to join their teams as Night Assessment Workers in their No Second Night Out Assessment Hubs. In these roles you will: 

• Work as part of a busy team environment working closely with those affected by rough sleeping. 

• Provide a safe and supportive environment at night to clients; carrying out assessment when clients first arrive out the service.  

• Work on a 7 day weekly night rota pattern with an average of 3 waking night shifts in a row (for example 8pm–8.30am or 9pm–8am) 

About you

Our Housing Sustainment Workers guide our customers through the Housing pathway, identifying appropriate support routes to assist them.

• Ensuring our Housing Sustainment Strategy is applied fairly and transparently across License and Tenancy accommodation 

You will need:

• GCSE English and Maths grade C or above (grades 4-9 or equivalent)
• Experience of dealing with the needs of our customer group; including but not limited to those with Learning Disabilities, Entrenched Homelessness, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Dependencies, dual diagnosis
• An understanding of the housing letting procedure including screening/vetting applicants
• Previous experience of managing and resolving rent arrears issues within a Registered Social Landlord or similar environment
• An understanding of both adult and child safeguarding protocols and escalation procedures
• Awareness of Building Safety Legislation and Expectations of Landlords
• Customer focused, excellent with planning and delivery, able to balance multiple priorities against critical deadlines
• A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for opportunities to do things better, supporting automation and digital paperwork
• A driving licence and vehicle insured for business use – we have a number of sites and you will need to visit these regularly

• Engaging with students in school and enrolling them onto the programme
• Matching students with volunteer tutors

• Building and managing relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme

About the role

We’re looking for a Human Resources Advisor with strong experience in employee relations and policy development to join our People Team. In this role, you’ll work closely with the HR Business Partners and act as the escalation point from our People Operations Team, offering comprehensive, pragmatic people advisory services across the organisation. You may have previously worked in youth and community work, social work, counselling, education or healthcare settings.

About the role

The Donor Relations Officer is a key role within the Development Office at the University of London. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a best practice programme of stewardship, donor engagement and recognition for the University of London’s donors, ensuring sustainability and growth of the donor base. This work involves creating a rewarding donor experience and managing donor communications, organising high-level donor stewardship activities and coordinating fundraising activities to support the mission and goals of the University.

Who are we looking for?

You will come experienced in delivering a successful programme of stewardship, in the charity or higher education sectors, and a working knowledge and experience of handling confidential information. We need someone with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with high profile individuals, and thus excellent communication skills in terms of written and spoken English is needed. You will have excellent relationship management skills, including the ability to work closely and collegiately with colleagues as part of a team and across a wider organisation. Experience of building and managing mutually beneficial partnerships and networks, both internally and externally, to create opportunities for the University, is also sought. As is an ability to deal effectively with staff at all levels, demonstrating discretion and tact.

Our partner, an impactful international charity, seeks a Finance & Admin Officer to undertake a range of accounting and administrative responsibilities to support the smooth running of the organisation, as they seek to grow. The organisation offers a supporting working environment, and the role is an excellent opportunity for an accountant interested in a career in international charity finance.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day to day accounting, including posting transactions and undertaking reconciliations, making supplier payments and managing staff and company expenses.
• Issue payslips, and ensure that timesheets are completed in accordance with organisational and donor funding requirements.
• Assist in grants financial management, including in reviewing expenses and the preparation of donor reports.
• Assist in office administrative matters, including assisting with logistics/events planning, office supplies, premises and supplier management, and maintaining the fixed asset register.

Requirements

• Accounting professional, studying towards an accounting qualification, with at least three years of experience working in an accounting role within the not for profit sector.
• Astute, able to manage a varied workload, with a strong attention to detail.
• Competent IT user, with experience in Excel and Sage.
• Good communication skills and relationship management skills, both verbal and written.
• Interest in international development and human rights

This role requires a right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship. The organisation offers hybrid working with the individual expected to be in the office in London 1-2 days/week.
