This vacancy has arisen as the result of the retirement of our current Fundraising & Marketing Director in Spring 2025. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader to take over this pivotal role within the charity.

Based at either of our two sites in North Weald and near Colchester (with regular attendance at the other site), you will oversee the strategic management of our charity's fundraising, marketing, and communications. You will lead in the creation, development, and implementation of a range of revenue-focused strategies, and have overall accountability for a large team that generates the funds needed to keep the service operational. As a key member of our Executive Team, you'll collaborate closely with our CEO and other members to drive the delivery of our short, medium, and long-term goals.

Role responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of robust and diverse income generation and marketing strategies that meet both the current, and future, operational needs of the charity with a focus on lottery growth.
• Advise and support the CEO and Board on all fundraising and marketing matters.
• Develop and deliver income diversification plans.
• Lead the team in a positive and inspirational way to maximise all opportunities across our region.
• Develop and build working relationships with key stakeholders and other air ambulance charities.

What we’re looking for

You will have extensive fundraising experience in a compatible context, specifically across key areas of income generation. You must be target driven to achieve income objectives set. You will have appropriate qualifications or be qualified through experience in fundraising and marketing and/or communications.

South East London Mind are working in partnership with South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) to deliver a Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT) for Lewisham.

The integrated team provide support to people with long-term mental health problems within a primary care setting, helping people develop their independence, self-management skills and achieve their recovery goals.

We are looking for a full time Mental Health Advisor to work alongside SLaM colleagues to deliver this service. As part of an effective Information Advice and Guidance team you will have the caseload management experience and skills to deliver focused, person-centred, individual support and IAG (Information and Guidance) on a wide range of social issues including housing, benefits, employment, socialising, liaising appropriately with specialists and professionals.

Role Purpose

GDI Hub are looking for a Research Assistant to support the team across its portfolio of projects with a diversity of clients, partners and stakeholders.

The Research Assistant role sits within GDI Hub’s Community Interest Company’s Research and Delivery Team, led by Mikaela Patrick, Head of Research and Delivery.

For a portfolio of clients (for example, Asian Development Bank, World Bank & IFC, Carbon Trust and Dubai Expo City), and projects under the UK Aid funded AT2030 programme cluster ‘Integrate - Strengthen the systems which make inclusion a reality’ (for example, Local production Systems of AT, Designing Inclusive Dignity Kits for Dissemination in Humanitarian Crises and Climate Resilient Cities), GDI Hub’s Research and Delivery Team:

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative, primary and secondary research
• Report academic research and grey literature publications with recommendations, blogs and insights reports
• Provide strategic and operational consultancy and technical assistance
• Design and deliver training and workshops, host and present speaker sessions
• Organise knowledge dissemination for high impact
• Track impact and reach of research and delivery

GDI Hub’s Research and Delivery Team have a range of thematic expertise, including inclusive design, accessibility, inclusive infrastructure, inclusive climate resilience and responses, disability and gender, financial inclusion and inclusive private sector practice.

The majority of GDI Hub Research and Delivery Team’s work has a focus in Low or Middle-Income Countries (LMIC).

GDI Hub’s Research and Delivery Team and work is growing fast, and this role has been created to strengthen the team and its delivery across its portfolio of work.

Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Experience working or academic study in relevant fields (including working closely and collaboratively with disabled people and disabled people’s organisations is desirable), such as international disability inclusion, assistive and accessible technology, accessibility and inclusive design, disability innovation and global health; with willingness to grow expertise across these areas.
• Ideally have some experience (approx. 2-5 years) working on research projects and/or practice-focused research in a related field. This could be as part of further study, research or in a work capacity. Real work experience is desirable.
• A post graduate qualification or equivalent work experience, focused on an area relevant to disability inclusion, accessibility and / or assistive technology.
• Experience and confidence to independently conduct qualitative research and analysis, and literature reviews.
• Experienced in quantitative research and analysis with proficiency in designing and running quantitative data collection via surveys and analysing results to inform statistically representative and robust results. Confidence to independently conduct descriptive and correlational analysis using for e.g., ExCel, Python, R or SPSS.
• Independence in producing clear and insightful infographics and data visualisations.
• Excellent written communication skills, with ability to take on writing of reports using clear and compelling narrative; experience authoring lucid and informative insights and reporting.
• Excellent ability to communicate, work in a small dynamic team, and collaborate with individuals with diverse technical backgrounds and with external stakeholders.
• Confidence in client relationship management for organisation of meetings, email engagements and clients and stakeholder presentations.
• Flexibility and dynamism, to take on a range of tasks supporting multiple projects across the Research and Delivery Portfolio.
• Aptitude for independent and timely delivery management whilst work closely with other members of the GDI Hub team.

The Role

Key tasks

• Strategic membership activities including:

  • Leading Parkinson’s Europe membership recruitment and diversification
  • Reviewing and expanding Parkinson’s Europe membership benefits

Age UK are recruiting for a Director of Network Engagement & Support.

In this new, impactful role, you will be responsible for mobilising and subsequently continuously improving a new network engagement and support function. The aim of the function is to significantly enhance the understanding the of needs, views and priorities of local Age UKs and the way in which the national organisation connects with, engages, and supports them. 

Working collaboratively with local Age UKs and national teams, the Director of Network Engagement & Support will be responsible for developing and implementing a network engagement and support strategy. This includes driving forward changes that may include the type of support provided, the way in which it is delivered and how it is monitored and measured to ensure our approach is responsive, sustainable and supports the strategic objectives and operational needs of the network.

This will require collaborative working across a range of teams to ensure a coherent and coordinated approach. This role and team will engage directly with local Age UK leadership, be the owner of the organisational overview of the network and network interactions, ensuring risks and issues are appropriately managed and that there is an effective and transparent flow of information across the organisation and network including into formal governance mechanisms.  

The Director of Network Engagement & Support will ensure the effective delivery and operation of several formal and informal network engagement activities, for example Chief Officer induction. Whilst taking responsibility for providing team strategic direction and management to achieve objectives, the role holder is also expected to be a visible and constructive participant within both the wider Age UK senior management team and the senior team of the Network division.

As a Playground Coordinator you will be supporting disabled young people and their families by coordinating the delivery of an adventure play service at Lady Allen Playground. This is a great opportunity to develop your existing skills in a rewarding role and gain a strong sense of achievement.

Purpose of the roles:

• To be responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of Neighbourhood Watch’s partner project involving Neighbourhood Watch volunteers within the South West.
• Recruit, training and coordinate volunteers so they can deliver information sessions to community groups. 
• Research areas in needs of support and book venues where information sessions will be delivered by volunteers.

We’re seeking an engaging, organised and experienced individual to join our fantastic Mass Fundraising team on a 6-month fixed term contract! 

This role is integral to the delivery of our ambitious Mass Participation fundraising budget. You will support on the delivery of new and existing insight-led fundraising products and reaching targets. • You will have an excellent track record of engaging with supporters through a range of channels including SMS, phone and email stewardship including but not limited to: event good luck calls, sponsorship chasing, general fundraising support
• You will have Community and events/fundraising process delivery experience including experience of Raisers Edge (preferable), updating data files

As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you’ll create opportunities for our amazing supporters to connect with and drive our work through various means of individual giving. You'll create engaging communucations, ensuring that our donors feel valued and understand the impact they're having on babies and their families, and you'll develop key appeals and individual giving activity to drive growth in these income streams.

1. Manage the development of individual giving income streams, including legacy giving, regular giving, one-off gifts, in memory giving and new products

We are seeking a Programmes Coordinator/Facilitator to join the Safe Ground team in HMP Lowdham Grange, Nottingham and take the lead in the effective setup, delivery, and evaluation of Safe Ground's programmes. The role involves delivering arts-based interventions aimed at supporting participants in their personal development, family relationships, and rehabilitation. You will be based at HMP Lowdham Grange, where you will develop collaborative partnerships with colleagues at the Visitors' Centre, as well as with key prison teams, wing staff, and, most importantly, the programme participants.

You will be required to undertake additional training and vetting as per the requirements of the prison.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone with a passion for arts-based interventions, you will see relationships as central to personal development and be creative in your approach to positively influence and persuade others. You will be able to use group work, arts, and drama techniques to support participants to rehearse new behaviours and experience alternative perspectives. You will have excellent communication skills, and support skills. 

What we are looking for:

• Background in arts education, dramatherapy, applied theatre or equivalent 
• Practical experience and/or knowledge on group work facilitation
• Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
• IT proficiency, able to learn new software. Confidence in Microsoft packages
• Resonance with Safe Ground and Social Interest Group values
• Understanding and/or experience working with therapeutic groupwork techniques, be able to deliver this to others
• Ability to follow organisational policies and process in line with external governance

What we would like, but not essential:

• Previous experience within a prison or other criminal justice setting and/or within a similar role
• Previous experience in a similar organisation/industry/role
• Understanding/experience working with therapeutic groupwork techniques

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and deliver engaging high-quality programmes which support rehabilitation, reintegration, and reablement for participants within the prison at various stages of their personal journey.
• Coordinate all aspects of promotion, recruitment and evaluation of programmes.
• Develop content and deliver this to different learning needs and styles.
• Co-Facilitate workshops and activities to support rehabilitation, combining arts-based interventions with course delivery.
• Collect and manage feedback, using this to continuously improve content and programmes. 
• Support with all aspects of risk management, information management, and case recording as needed.
• Admin will vary.
