With 1 in 5 children struggling with their mental health, our surf therapy intervention is needed now more than ever. We transform the lives of children struggling with depression and anxiety. Through our 6 week course we help them to feel calm, confident, to have positive thoughts about themselves, to have higher self esteem and trust in others. We work with over 2000 children and young people across the UK every year and have reached over 14,000 over the past 14 years.

It is an exciting time to join the charity - we have a new CEO in post who has plans to take this charity to new heights - reaching even more children than ever before and we need an experienced fundraiser who can help us achieve that vision. Working as part of a small fundraising team you will have the ability to really make a substantial difference.

The role is advertised as 15 hours however there is the hope that this will end up being increased in the not too distant future. We will consider candidiates working remotely but for those based near HQ (Newquay, Cornwall) you will be able to join in with our pre work swims/paddles/coffee on the beach and our Bring and Share lunches! Please do not feel like you need to be a seasoned surfer for this role - the majority of the non delivery team are also not surfers!

The Community Engagement Project Assistant role will include delivering classes, hosting events and working with clients in their homes, in our day centre, and in community settings such as libraries, job centres, sheltered accommodation and other voluntary sector organisation hubs.

About the Role:

You’ll also: 

• Bring to the role a keen understanding of supporter response handling, the intricacies of processing donations, Direct Debits, Gift Aid, and communication preferences
• Assist with due diligence processes within the wider SEO team, specifically focusing on internal data security practices, response handling accuracy, and adherence to relevant regulatory requirements such as those for Gift Aid or the BACS scheme for Direct Debits 
• Proactively identify processes for improvement across the Supporter Experience & Operations Team to deliver efficiencies and improve the effectiveness of internal procedures 

• Support campaign managers and other colleagues with any new or existing projects relating to fundraising operations, working closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring requirements are clear and fully documented

ABOUT THE ROLE

Lambeth Palace is the London home of the Archbishop of Canterbury, his family and two religious communities. It is the centre of his ministry, worship and hospitality.

The staff members at Lambeth Palace work as a small and close-knit team and support each other during busy periods with flexibility and good humour. You will be responsible for supporting the Chaplain to the Archbishop of Canterbury at an Executive Assistant level. This post gives an excellent opportunity of working in a small, friendly, busy office, in unusual and pleasant surroundings.

The role of the Chaplain at Lambeth Palace is to support the ministry to which God has called the Archbishop. This involves a wide variety of tasks, much of it behind the scenes. The Chaplain carries responsibility for pastoral and liturgical dimensions of the Archbishop's ministry in the Church of England, his speaking, publishing and award-giving commitments while leading on the Archbishop's first priority of the renewal of prayer and religious life.

He/she is also responsible for the pastoral care of those who work and/or live at Lambeth Palace - the 'community of communities' and the regular pattern of worship in its two chapels, in liaison with Chemin Neuf. He/she is also responsible on behalf of the Archbishop for liaison with the recently-founded Community of St Anselm.

Core Responsibilities

• Being aware and helping to deliver the Chaplain's objectives and views, and communicating these to external and internal parties, as well as maintaining discretion and confidentiality where necessary.
• Managing and prioritising communications with the Chaplain, whether by phone, e-mail, letter or in person, enabling him/her to achieve their objectives while ensuring timely responses.
• Dealing with the Chaplain's correspondence, including drafting replies to letters and emails, and where appropriate replying on their behalf. In addition to drafting briefs for the Archbishop's official engagements for which the Chaplain carries responsibility.
• Managing the Chaplain's diary, including booking rooms and offering hospitality where appropriate, and making travel arrangements.
• Organising the Chaplain's expenses and drafting budgets for the team.
• Receiving and greeting visitors, as required, on behalf of both the Chaplain and the Archbishop.

Key Requirements

• The role is primarily office based, however, there is some flexibility to all to allow for a degree of home working, specifically when there are no internal or external face-to-face meetings. This can be discussed once you have been appointed to the post.
• A basic DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.

As an Individual Giving Fundraiser, you’ll work as part of the Public Fundraising team responsible for managing a portfolio of Individual Giving campaigns from inception through to evaluation to generate funds, improve engagement and increase life-time value of existing supporters

Permanent, 35 hours a week

Location: Here East Press Centre, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW with working from home most of the time. 

The role 

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for managing retention campaigns, coordinating with a number of different stakeholders, both internal and externally.

• Experience of monitoring and reporting of results and other financial data.

• Experience of working with data for fundraising purposes, either in using a database to select and segment data or of producing briefs to do so.

• Work with the Senior Individual Giving Fundraisers to deliver campaigns against agreed budgets

• Have direct experience of campaign management across a range of direct marketing activities including direct mail, digital, email and telephone

• Experience of working to a busy schedule, managing a number of campaigns simultaneously

• Have an interest in testing new campaigns, and a passion for raising funds to enable Scope to continue the work that they do.

The Role:

They are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Grants & Fundraising Manager to lead their income generation efforts. Shop and Museum Curatorial Assistant

Dorchester, Dorset

£31,610 (pro rata) per annum rising incrementally to £32,850 (pro rata) per annum

21 hours per week, 3 days per week, inclusive of weekends and bank holidays, and is subject to rota requirements.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a positive contribution towards the visitors’ experiences at the museum and shop, and will also promote the Museum, its events and merchandise online. 

The varied duties include: handling sales transactions in store and online; stock management; securing the premises; covering holiday periods (including bank holidays); assisting with the upkeep of the shop, museum, facilities and cottages, as well as supporting the run and organisation of key events such as the festival.

The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate that they are able to:

• Work well with customers, visitors and residents
• Administer stock, sales records and online transactions
• Work flexibly and provide general assistance when needed
• Carry out manual handling tasks safely and assist with the physical aspects of a festival set up
• Support in the curation and development of the Museum and its history
• Work additional hours to cover busy periods.

As with all similar jobs with our client, security clearance checks (DBS) will form part of the appointment process.
