Job Purpose: To undertake individual sessions and group work with men and women who have been mandated by Courts to engage in behavioural change support and/or attend a Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Programme. The purpose of this role is to move the perpetrator along the spectrum of awareness; acceptance of impact; desire to change; so they are ready to meaningfully engage in behavioural change. DAPOs can impose both prohibitions and positive requirements on perpetrators. Positive requirements can be in the form of interventions aimed at reducing and managing risk, mandated by Court to address issues or needs related to factors that are not the causation of abuse but impact on risk. These could include engaging with Mental Health services, Substance Misuse services or attending a Perpetrator-Focused Domestic Abuse behaviour change programme.

As a key local partner TLC: Talk, Listen, Change supported Greater Manchester Police’s application to be part of the pilot and we are now commissioned by the Drive Partnership to enhance our existing locally commissioned voluntary perpetrator behaviour change programmes as part of the DAPO pilot. We are seeking to expand our existing Domestic Abuse Prevention Team to support the pilot. The Home Office are funding a two year pilot which will be tested and evaluated in order to prepare for national roll out in 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Interagency work
- Work to embed the Domestic Abuse Prevention role into multi-agency responses to domestic abuse in the area
- Effective understanding and implementation of institutional advocacy by pro-socially challenging partner agencies, acknowledging best practice and striving for change to benefit the individual, the service and the sector.
- Working closely with other professionals to ensure that risk management and safeguarding duties are effectively met.
- Develop and maintain effective partnership working with statutory, private and voluntary agencies to address the issue of domestic abuse.
- Represent the service at operational multi-agency meetings, feeding back initiatives and outcomes to the team and contribute to the evaluation of the quality of activities these services offer.
- Provide a single point of proactive and regular contact for a range of professionals involved in the case of the service user.
Client work
- To conduct abuse prevention work with men and women in a way that shows an understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on partners, ex partners and children.
- To facilitate or co-facilitate a structured abuse prevention individual or group work programme for men or women who have been abusive towards an (ex) partner.
- To liaise with the Drive Partnership Triage team to assess suitability for the abuse prevention programme, based on DAPO pilot requirements and the Domestic Abuse Prevention Programme’s aims and criteria.

- To provide day-to-day support, advice and back-up to other workers and/or volunteers.
Administration
- To assist with collecting information needed for monitoring purposes.
- To provide assistance in producing statistical and other reports on work done to meet the requirements of funders and the Board of Trustees and co-operating in the on-going evaluation of TLC: Talk Listen Change.
- To maintain appropriate client records, keeping accurate client notes and making use of TLC: Talk, Listen, Change’s case management system.

About this key role

- If still serving a sentence: to be currently eligible for Release on Temporary License (ROTL); on release, likely to be living within commuting distance of Wakefield; to be willing to provide a DBS check and other disclosure as required, including references from the Prison Service
- Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy and the ability to assess client’s needs
- Experience in negotiation with partner agencies to establish links to further aims of the project
- Proven record of engaging successfully with challenging people
- Knowledge of services for offenders and patterns of offending in Wakefield

About this role
This new role, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, is an exciting opportunity to join our team who have been supporting adults with learning disabilities for almost 40 years. As we look to the future, we need to consider new opportunities to build partnerships and collaborations to build a strong, resilient network of third-sector organisations in Swindon and the surrounding area.
Main responsibilities
- Work with the trustees, staff, volunteers and members to develop and deliver against a Strategic Business Plan.
- To act as the lead relationship manager with partners on behalf of The Open Door Centre.
- Take responsibility for diversifying fundraising, grants and income streams in line with the strategy and business development plan, be proactive in developing new leads and connections.
- Explore and develop joint grant bids by liaising with external partners to support grant applications that align with our strategic aims.
- Develop, monitor and maintain key systems and processes, such as effective funder reporting and review meetings, and monitoring and reporting on fundraising KPIs.
Skills, competencies and experience

Other information

The Role

This is a highly rewarding role for a Senior Team Leader to manage and coordinate the Outreach and Befriending service, which include volunteer face-to-face befriending support in the home and community, and peer phone/virtual support sessions. Our Peripatetic Team provide front-line support to Solace’s Advice, Community and Accommodation-based Services across London. Crisis Intervention Workers enable our services to deliver a consistent high standard of service.
The team was created in order to have trained, skilled staff ready to cover gaps in service and facilitate the continued smooth running of services, proactively supporting women and children who have experienced domestic abuse. They are required to go into different teams and quickly establish themselves and provide support in times where staff teams may be struggling.
About the Role
In all services, peri workers provide nonjudgmental, confidential, and trauma-informed support to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse. Typical tasks include risk assessment, safety planning, and working with survivors to develop individual support plans.
Peri workers have the opportunity to work in a variety of roles across Solace’s services. Working across departments offers peri workers the ability to continually develop their knowledge, casework skills, advocacy skills, multi-agency working, and ability to manage and thrive in a changing environment.
The role will involve commuting to sites across London, and although hybrid working may be available in some projects it is not possible for all. Travel is taken into consideration when confirming placements, however you should be prepared for longer commutes.
This role in certain placements will require you to work a rota including weekend hours between 8am – 8pm.

About the Role
A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Senior Housing IDVA for Solace co-located in Waltham Forest Housing Department. As the Senior Housing IDVA you will provide immediate support for victim/survivors of abuse attending housing including carrying out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and providing short-term support and onward referral. In addition, you will act as the housing lead for Solace in Waltham Forest, providing advice and guidance to Solace staff and Waltham Forest housing professionals.
The Senior Housing IDVA will also hold line management responsibility. The Senior Housing IDVA will hold a small caseload of cases with complex housing issues for short-term support.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborating with external agencies in your work.
