First Step Trust (FST) is an award winning charity of over 30 years, providing work experience, on the job training and salaried employment for people excluded from working life because of mental health problems and other disadvantages. Many of the people they work with are long term unemployed (10 years +) and some have never worked. FST is developing new ways to help this group overcome some of the barriers to learning using a range of technologies and other learning tools.
Prospectus is delighted to be recruiting for a Chief Operating Officer to help our client in their next phase of development, to be based full time from their site in Woolwich SE18. As the COO, you will support the CEO in executing the strategic plans and directives, while overseeing the efficacy of the organisation’s strategy and implementing changes needed for the growth and development of the organisation. Ultimately your purpose is to support the continued success and growth of the organisation through good management, communication and relationship-building, without compromising on their commitment to working with people who use their service as colleagues and assets.
To be successful in this role you will be a senior level manager who has energy and drive as well as sound judgement. On top of a strong track record in an operational position, you will have the breadth of experience to oversee their operations strategy and systems, commercial activity, budget management, monitoring and evaluation. You will have a proven track record of success in senior-level general or commercial management. You will be a clear, analytical thinker who will strengthen the leadership of the charity. In addition, you will be an excellent manager of people, able to support team members with varying skills and abilities, including some who may come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Cornwall Community Accountancy Service are looking for a Chief Executive Officer / Principal Accountant to take over from the founding CEO who is stepping back from the role.Reporting to the trustees this role takes primary responsibility for the day to day management and further development of the Community Accountancy Service to community organisations within Cornwall.The post holder will be a professionally qualified accountant holding a practising certificate, thereby responsible for quality control of all accountancy work performed.
This role would be ideal to work alongside an existing practice or someone who already has their own clients. This is a part time role (15-20 hours per week) with a salary of £63,700 FTE.The role would be with an immediate start with handover from the current CEO up until April 2025.The CEO is happy to remain on hand for support for the foreseeable future.

We are now looking for a new CEO for Saffron Sheffield - a dynamic and caring individual with a broad range of skills to develop and support the organisation through its next phase of development.
We are a Sheffield charity which provides free specialist therapy and counselling for women who have suffered abuse and trauma. We are the only free service in Sheffield which offers up to a year of support for those clients with the most complex and severe trauma symptoms. We have a 37-year track record of helping women in Sheffield.
The women we support have often experienced several episodes of trauma over many years, and need time to build trust with their therapist and to safely process what has happened to them so that they can rebuild their lives.
We aim to work with every client at the pace which is right for them and our clients tell us that this approach makes all the difference in enabling them to deal with underlying traumas which have often gone unaddressed for years or decades.

Hours: 37 hours per week
Pay: £50,000 - £55,000 plus 8% pension contribution
Location: Sheffield / hybrid (average 3 days per week on-site)
As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate:
• Commitment to anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive practices and women-only services
• Demonstrable experience of leadership at CEO or senior director level at an organisation of comparable scale and complexity
• Experience of operating at Board level and capable of working with and alongside our board of trustees

Excellent knowledge of organisational development, with a successful track record of leading income growth
• Proven experience of developing and implementing wide-reaching strategies that successfully deliver objectives
• Collaborative leadership skills with ability to bring the best out of a team and to support individual staff development
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining strategic senior relationships
• An interest in mental health issues and commitment to offering psychotherapy and wellbeing services to women
