The Role:
As a Engagement and Event Coordinator, you will help expand the database of volunteers and save more lives. This role is central to the client's mission and we're looking for someone who is excited to engage with diverse communities, support patients and their families, and manage impactful volunteer recruitment events across the UK.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and manage volunteer recruitment events nationwide.
- Engage with patients and their families to create compelling appeals that raise awareness and increase volunteer registrations.
- Lead presentations and training sessions for volunteers, communities, and corporate groups to inspire participation in drives.
- Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to optimise event visibility and support patient-led campaigns.
- Work towards volunteer recruitment KPIs and targets while maintaining detailed records in our database.
Essential requirements:
- Experience in a client-facing or support role, with strong communication and organisational skills.
- Sensitivity and empathy when working with individuals facing difficult circumstances.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the UK.

We are now looking for an experienced and ambitious Head of Fundraising to lead the dedicated Fundraising Team at the hospice to ensure financial sustainability of the organisation’s services.
The Role
As the Head of Fundraising, you will be responsible for leading and developing the fundraising department. Duties will include:
- Working alongside the Director of Income Generation to create, develop & deliver a fundraising strategy to support the Hospice’s new objectives
- Lead, mentor, and develop the fundraising team, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing support and training.

We are working in partnership with Weston Hospicecare, a highly regarded local charity founded by the local community over 30 years ago. They are the major provider of specialist palliative care in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset, and Sedgemoor, providing free of charge physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual care to local people.
A new Director of Fundraising is sought to provide inspiring leadership to the fundraising function of Weston Hospicecare, implementing a fundraising strategy that will build voluntary income from its current level of £2 million per annum to provide long-term and sustainable income sources for the Hospice. Key responsibilities include:

About Mountbatten Hospice Group
At Mountbatten, our mission is to promote and provide compassionate care and support for those people living with, affected by, or curious about death, dying, and bereavement. As a charity, we deliver a wide range of services at our two hospices in Newport, Isle of Wight, and Southampton, Hampshire, as well as extensive community-based care for patients and their families at home.
To sustain our vital work, we need to generate over two-thirds of our running costs through fundraising and commercial activities. With public funding, including NHS contributions, becoming increasingly scarce, the importance of these income streams grows year on year.
To succeed in our ambitions, we are seeking a dedicated senior fundraiser to join us as Head of Fundraising. You will be responsible for delivering Mountbatten’s fundraising strategy and leading the Hampshire and Isle of Wight fundraising teams.
About the role
As Head of Fundraising, you will drive innovative and ambitious fundraising initiatives supporting a vital cause. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will promote income growth by managing, adapting and improving the fundraising strategy.
You will be at the forefront of implementing exciting, forward-thinking fundraising campaigns while fostering meaningful relationships with supporters, corporate partners, and high-level donors. With a focus on growth and positive change, you will inspire your team and champion new ideas that drive income generation for Mountbatten’s mission.
Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated and experience senior fundraiser who is passionate about significantly impacting Mountbatten’s future. You will bring expertise across various fundraising income streams, with particular strengths in individual giving and/or corporate fundraising.
Person specification:
- Demonstrable significant fundraising experience with proven ability to deliver on time and within budget.
- Track record of motivating individuals and teams to raise money for a charitable organisation, ideally with a hospice or hospital focus.
- Significant line management and leadership experience, including motivating a team to achieve challenging targets.
- Ability to generate new ideas and positively and empathetically lead staff through change.
- Strategic thinker with experience in designing and developing strategies and the ability to translate them into tactical annual and quarterly business plans.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form and nurture long-lasting relationships.

Harris Hill are delighted to be partnering with a leading health research charity, in their search for a Trusts and Corporate Prospect Researcher.
This is an exciting role to join a dynamic team, contributing over £2m to our fundraising income, with ambitions to grow. You will play an important part in building the Trusts and Corporates pipeline for the charity.
As Trusts and Corporate Prospect Researcher, you will identify and qualify new prospects and provide research to support the fundraising teams to make informed decisions to engage, cultivate and solicit gifts from Trusts, Foundations and corporate networks. You will provide insights into new areas of prospecting to continually replenish the prospect pipeline with high-capacity prospects in order to meet current and future income targets. You will implement a Prospect Research Strategy aligned to the charity and their strategic areas. You will also work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders within the charity to ensure they are maximising cross-working opportunities.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Experience of researching high net worth individuals, company Directors, and/or family Trust and Foundations Boards identifying capacity, propensity and affinity to the cause.
- Strong understanding of due diligence, data protection and the latest GDPR and ICO updates. Ability to gather information from the public domain in accordance with GDPR, Data protection regulation, IoF and charity law.
- Experience of producing accurate, unbiased, concise snapshot research as well as more in-depth research profiles detailed reports, network mapping and analysis on donors and prospects.
- Understanding of the principles of Philanthropy fundraising practices and donor motivations.
