Location of work: Flexible. This post holder will be based at home but daily travel to schools or other establishments within your allocated local area will be required including some early morning breakfast visits. The role will require irregular travel throughout the UK with minimal overnight stays. A full driver’s licence and use of a vehicle is required.
Contract type: 4 days / 28 hours per week term time only, although flexible hours may be considered. This role will involve early morning breakfast visits to schools or other establishments which you will need to be able to attend. The role may require occasional evening and weekend work

BACKGROUND
Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. Providing breakfast ensures that children start their school day with the energy and nutrition they need to be able to make the most of their morning lessons. Magic Breakfast also undertakes research, and campaigns for long-term solutions to end hunger as a barrier to learning.
This is an exciting time at Magic Breakfast, as we have expanded our team to meet the challenge of ending morning hunger for now, and for good.
JOB PURPOSE
Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Service Delivery team is responsible for ensuring the delivery of our breakfast provision. As Engagement Partner, you will work with relevant partners (schools, local authorities, parents, parent councils) to ensure that breakfast provision is optimized, encouraging reach and providing education on relevant topics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To develop a relationship with the supported schools in their respective area, to enable, preserve, embed, enhance and extend stigma and barrier free breakfast pron.

To educating and engage with the wider school community, including teachers, parents and children and young people on the importance of breakfast and implications of hunger as a barrier learning through various means including assemblies, staff meetings, online events and regional events throughout the academic year.

To engage with the wider community to advocate for the importance of breakfast, the work that we are doing in existing schools and to support our campaigning and advocacy strategy and plans.

To develop brand awareness in schools and local communities in line with our marketing strategy

Working with a team of three LTT employees, as well as Trustees and supporters the key objectives of the Partnerships team is to:
- Support our ambitious vision: a quality, inclusive education for every child in Tanzania.
- Plan; manage; deliver; monitor and maintain oversight of LTT’s Trust and Foundation fundraising portfolio, activities and opportunities. Target is to raise in excess of £300,000 per annum from UK and International Trusts, Foundations, other Institutional Donors and individuals in 2025-6 and increase by £40,000 a year thereafter.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
This position will focus on sourcing and developing potential national and international funders who provide single and multi-year grants in excess of £10,000 including those who do not accept unsolicited grants.
Duties include:
- Develop and manage opportunity pipelines of prospective funders, planning introductions.
- Write compelling, concise, well-presented, tailored approaches and grant applications in Word and Canva.
- Liaise with the Operations team, to gather the relevant information for grant applications (e.g. data, case studies, imagery etc).
- Ensure systems are kept up to date with all details of grant application documents, progress and outcomes and any other interactions with funders.
- Work with partners in Tanzania to offer them support and guidance
- Draft programme reports for projects for which you have raised funds.
- Contribute with other team members to the organisational budgeting process, by producing a detailed breakdown of opportunities and likelihood of success.
- Contribute to production of key external documents which may impact Trust and Foundation fundraising e.g. Annual Report & Accounts, Impact Report.
- Attend team meetings at least twice a year
- Attend relevant third-party events/training as required.
- Attend and assist with some LTT fundraising events.

Key Requirements
- Knowledgeable and passionate about International Development/Education

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young adults with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes.
Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family; including overnight care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much, much more.
It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. Statutory funding makes up 16% of this amount and the rest is raised through fundraising activity.
Our services include overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. The role:
We are seeking a Care Administrator to work alongside our Senior Care Administrator, offering clerical support to our nursing and family support teams. The role involves providing administrative support for our Care Leadership Team, maintaining accurate care records, supporting referral and allocation processes and most importantly being a first point of contact for children and families accessing the hospice.

Objectives of the Assignment
The primary objective of this assignment is to engage bid writers who will:

About the charity: Cavernomas look like raspberries and are found in the brain and spinal cord. They're formed of abnormal blood vessels with thin leaky walls, which can bleed at any age without warning. 1 in 625 people are thought to have a cavernoma, and whilst most people won't experience symptoms 1 in 2,700 do. Symptoms can include haemorrhages, seizures and other neurological problems. Treatment involves 'wait and see', neurosurgery or stereotactic radiosurgery; with no medications currently available.

Since the charity was founded in 2005 it has grown from a volunteer-led organisation based in Dorchester to a UK wide registered charity that now has 2 part-time permanent staff, looking to increase to 4 Part-time staff (all home-based), 50+ volunteers, and 4,000+ members. About the roles: The Member Support Assistant is responsible for assisting our Volunteer Manager with administration relating to the support of the charity’s 4,000 members and volunteers. This includes offering a professional service to members of CAUK, typically via phone, email, online, chat, or on occasion in person. The role involves supporting the membership and volunteering processes, ensuring all admin is accurate and up to date. We are hiring! We have a job vacancy for an Early Intervention Project Worker to join Shine.
Shine has a membership of over 14,000 members living with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus and associated conditions and over 6,500 associated members.
Our Little Stars project for 0–12-year-olds has been established for over 5 years supporting younger members and their families with their diagnosis and beyond. We also have a growing Teen membership known as FIRE (Friendship, Independence, Resilience, Equality) Working alongside our multi skilled, established team, you will be supporting members across all age groups and building on the great foundations already in place.
We are looking for an Early Intervention Project Worker who can cover the South of England, primarily you will be home based, supporting members through phone calls and using online platforms. You will be required to attend clinics, events and meet members one to one where necessary within your allocated area and occasionally across wider areas and nationally.
Purpose of the role

To deliver Shine's Little Stars (funded by The National Lottery Community Fund) project for 0–12-year-olds, supporting early years and younger members with their families, their diagnosis and beyond across the Southern Region. To provide advice, support and guidance to enable people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus to access the correct benefits to become financially stable, the right services to improve their health and well-being, and to better co-ordinate their support and independence through a variety of methods.

We are looking for an experienced grants fundraiser to join us and make a significant impact on our work with young people in central Doncaster.
We are currently finalising our next Forward Plan, with an ambition to create an inclusive, vibrant community, committed to everyone having a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become. We currently work with children and young people aged 5 to 30.
Our priority programmes include support coaching for young people, community activity sessions, sustaining our accommodation provision for vulnerable young adults and establishing how we can best support more young people on the homelessness pathway. We have some great spaces that are in need of development, and we expect that both capital and revenue funding will be included in your workload. We also look for smaller grants during the course of the year, including for food for our residents and supplies for our art groups, and we hope to recruit volunteers to assist with the smaller and less complex bids.
You would – for now – be our only Grants Officer, so should be familiar with the whole cycle of applications and monitoring and able to work independently. This is a fabulous opportunity to make your mark on young lives in Doncaster and take our fundraising to the next level.
Main Responsibilities
- To work delegated idea notes into fundable project profiles, each with a clear and compelling case for support.
- To create a clear and compelling case for support for unrestricted grants income.
- To agree full cost recovery arrangements with the Chief Executive.
- To be responsible for an assigned portfolio of trusts, foundations and similar, developing knowledge of, and relationships with, those funders.
- To make strong applications to funders within the assigned portfolio, matching YMCA Doncaster’s agreed cases for support with funders’ interests and requirements.
- To make strong applications to public sector and similar bodies offering contracts for work within YMCA Doncaster’s scope.
- To work to regularly reviewed and achievable targets.
- To prepare and give presentations, maintain ongoing contact and host trustee or representative visits where required as part of an application process.
- To devise efficient evaluation and monitoring systems which meet funder requirements.
- To oversee the accurate completion of returns and reports, ensuring that funders are satisfied and funding continues.
- To keep comprehensive records, in an agreed format, from initial contact with a potential funder through to either the rejection correspondence or the funding agreement and subsequent monitoring and evaluation.
- To supervise / oversee grants volunteers and less experienced staff applying for smaller grants.
- To comply with fundraising and other legislation relevant to the role.
- To recommend updates to the Fundraising Policy in accordance with changes to legislation or operating practice.
- To report to the Chief Executive monthly in the required format.
- To approach the role with professionalism, and to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff, clients and others.

Person Specification
- A recent track record of success in securing funding through written bids (five figures plus) in an employed role focused on grants or similar fundraising.
- Experience covering the full cycle of grants fundraising including creating cases for support, submitting applications, responding to requests for information or visits, monitoring and evaluation.
- An understanding of the current UK grants / trusts climate and the types of funders likely to support YMCA Doncaster’s work.
- Self-motivated and self-supporting, with the ability to work independently and deal with unexpected or challenging situations including short-notice opportunities.
- Able to supervise and support volunteers and others to complete strong applications efficiently.
- Ability to create and work with project budgets and projections.
- Computer literate, able to use Microsoft Word and Excel to a high standard, and able to use technology in devising and using procedures, gathering information and completing online and electronic applications.
- Exceptionally strong written communication skills, a strong command of grammar and meticulous attention to detail.
- Able to articulate YMCA Doncaster’s work effectively, and to create compelling written applications for support.
- Experience of maintaining confidentiality and appropriate relationships, and a clear understanding of the importance of those.
- Able to represent the Association positively, professionally and with credibility.

Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have excellent relationship management skills and be comfortable articulating the vision and mission of the charity to prospective donors (high net worths, business owners and leaders). You will have gravitas and be able to represent the charity at functions, networking events and be comfortable presenting. A passion and understanding of the charity sector and in particular, the Islamic landscape will be an advantage. Internally , you will be creative and have experience of developing and refining business and customer experience. Your strong leadership skills will allow you to drive projects forward and inspire the team you will oversee. Experience in budgeting, fundraising and investment oversight as well as knowledge of UK charity laws and regulations will be an advantage.

A background in strategic communications and / or climate policy is desirable, but a strong track record in project management and ideas development is key. They will enjoy testing new ideas, evaluating success and developing new partnerships and opportunities. A self-starter, they will be a quick learner, able to take initiative and lead the effective delivery of programmes.
