We are looking to appoint a Fundraising Officer to join our highly successful fundraising team. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in both fundraising and in the third sector. The role will provide vital support across our Fundraising Team, ensuring you develop the key skills required to become a successful fundraising professional in the years ahead.
The charity is in a period of rapid growth and will see our annual fundraising requirement increase from £12.5m to over.
£16m per year, over the next three years. To achieve this we are adding capacity to the team to ensure we maximise the
opportunities available within the university, corporate and philanthropic community. We have a remarkable track record in
securing major gifts from a diverse range of funding partners and this role will be key to ensuring we achieve our fundraising targets.

What to expect in a fundraising role?
The Fundraising Officer role is a fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same.
A typical day will have different meetings, priorities and team projects. Corporate and University partnerships often involve supporting several different areas of a business or university with varying content, ideas and stewardship, including hosting supporters at our learning centres. Each fundraising area meets regularly to discuss challenges, new ideas and improvements, and the broader fundraising team meets monthly to reflect on progress to date and plan for the rest of the year ahead.
This role will also involve working with colleagues at our centres across the UK to organise workshops that are hosted and/or supported by our corporate and university partners, getting to know our different teams and helping thousands of young people to access vital learning and skillset opportunities each year.

Title: Male Residential Support Worker (this is a live-in role)
Responsible to: Senior Support Worker
Responsible for: Young people living in the accommodation (4 young people aged 16 – 18 years old seeking asylum in the UK).
Location: This is a live-in, residential role based in a supported accommodation home in Loughborough. Some work will be based in our office buildings.
Hours: 25 hours per week on duty – this is a mixture of day, evening and weekend shifts. Two days a week will be off duty.
Leave: Two nights a month can be taken as nights away from the home. This in addition to annual leave allowance. Annual leave - 33 days (converted into hours) pro-rata for number of hours worked
Salary Band: £24,150 - £27,760 per annum pro rata. Equivalent to £16,100 to £18,506 for 25 hours a week.

Overall Purpose
To provide advice, assistance and support to young people in the home, as a key member of the Support Team, delivering Baca’s service in line with our Vision and Values. The role includes a consistent adult presence in the home. To attend to their practical and emotional needs whilst supporting the development of living skills. To teach them how to manage and look after a home in order to keep it safe and hygienic. To build trusting relationships within the home to enable young people to feel safe and cared for. To act as an excellent role model and to work closely with them and their Support Worker to enable them to make good progress towards independence.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome newly arrived young people into the accommodation, helping them feel safe and able to rest; with compassion without discrimination of age, race, colour or behavioural issues.
- Actively support young people to make progress and develop in the following outcomes; physical wellbeing and emotional wellbeing; personal safety; education and learning; employment and training that is safe and suitable; social engagement (being part of the community and activities outside of the home)
- Be an excellent and positive role model, offering advice, guidance and assistance and consistently modelling behaviours in line with Baca’s values.
- Using Baca’s progress plan, train all young people in living skills and looking after a home such as washing, personal safety, cleaning, cooking and food safety, food shopping and budgeting.
- Providing emotional support at times of difficulty, anxiety or stress.
- Encourage young people settle into and support them to maintain a healthy routine which will include regularly attending education and social activities.
- Act as a co-keyworker for the young people to ensure that their support plans and progress are up to date and that all their needs are being met.
- Enable young people to live with positive values and good boundaries by challenging any unhelpful or unsafe behaviours and encouraging safe and positive behaviours.
- In accordance with the guidelines on Safeguarding and Health and Safety policies, to accept responsibility for working within these guidelines and report any concerns.
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the Rebuild Team to ensure all young people are safeguarded and supported to rebuild their lives.
- Take responsibility for keeping the home clean, by consistently role modelling to and training young people.
- Maintain very good communication with relevant members of the Rebuild Team and relevant social workers
- Ensure regular appropriate reporting requirements are consistently met, meeting regulations set out by Ofsted.
- Complete and update all admin work as part of the role such as month end reports and support plans on time and in a consistent manner.
- Playing an active role in developing knowledge and understanding in areas relevant to the role and especially in the areas of asylum and refugee law, trafficking, supporting separated children and the cultures of different nations relevant to Baca.

About this key role
As our Accommodation Adviser, you will complete an Initial Needs Assessment (INA) with each service user using a strength-based approached within agreed contractual timeframes, before assessing need and risk, alert to changes that could indicate change in risk or serious harm, including personal safety and safeguarding.
You will contribute to the design and delivery of an effective and solution-focused accommodation plan and advise and support service users to achieve successful outcomes utilising your specialist housing knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of accommodation and local service provision. You will also be expected to maintain and build new relationships with social and private housing providers and within the criminal justice sector, voluntary and statutory agencies. Monitoring progress and recording on digital systems is also a key duty.

BACKGROUND
Sundial delivers high quality education and training on harmful practices, such as female genital mutilation (FGM), “honour”-based abuse (HBA) and harmful body alterations. We offer safeguarding training for teams of professionals such as teachers, police and social workers. We also deliver lessons in schools, as well as workshops for community groups. We ensure people from FGM- and HBA- affected communities and young people are at the forefront of our work. Our training and education work is sensitive, on point and age appropriate. All of our training is delivered in pairs, with at least one facilitator being from a community affected by the harmful practice discussed in the session.

Healthy relationships and body image, including:
- Body image and smart phones

Sundial Centre for Education on Harmful Practices work in locations across the Thames Valley, as well as Birmingham. Our Lead Trainer will need to travel to these locations and having a driving licence and car will be preferable, as there will be equipment and materials to carry.
Job Description
You will deliver workshops on harmful practices and abuse issues to a high professional standard, together with a co-facilitator, and carry out administrative tasks as required for the effective delivery of our education programme.
Person Specification
You will ideally be from a community affected by a harmful practice such as FGM/C or “honour”-based abuse and forced marriage. This does not necessarily mean you personally have been affected, but you have a deep understanding of the issues from living in your community.
Your knowledge of the topic: You will need a strong understanding of violence against women and girls (VAWG), ideally having experience working in the VAWG sector. You will have a strong understanding of some or all of the topics that we deliver, in order to deliver workshops with a high level of expertise and answer any questions during the session. A good understanding of safeguarding pathways would be desirable. Please note we are confident that someone with experience in the VAWG sector would be able to upskill themselves, with our help, if there is a topic they are not familiar with, e.g. spiritual abuse.
High level of organisation:
You will need to communicate with our Schools Coordinator to understand the details of the session, including who the session is for, any special requirements of the group and who you will be working with. You will need to link with your co-facilitator ahead of the session to have a planning meeting, including discussing the content of the session, who will deliver which parts, and any specific needs of the group. You will need to plan your own travel (reimbursed) - this can be anywhere in the Thames Valley, Birmingham or occasionally London. You may also need to link with your co-facilitator on their travel arrangements.
Administration skills:
Whilst the bookings will be made by our Schools Coordinator, you will still be expected to do some administration, such as completing records after the session.
Time management:
You will need to have excellent time management skills, including arriving at the venue in time to set up and deal with any last minute unforeseen issues which may arise (e.g. a school's firewall blocking our film materials). You will also need to deliver the content allowing enough time for each section of the training. This will require being able to effectively work with your co-facilitator. Each session should be well paced with time for questions at the end.
You as a facilitator:
It is important that you are a confident facilitator, including being comfortable to speak in front of a large group and able to project your voice. You will also need to be dynamic and engaging, facilitating activities / discussion and using high impact teaching methods to keep the group engaged. You will also need to be confident managing lots of questions or someone ‘over speaking’. You need to be thoughtful and sensitive to everyone in the room, including trying to ‘see’ everyone, and being encouraging and non-judgemental. You need to be comfortable working with adults, children and young people.
You as a leader:
You will need to be comfortable taking the lead alongside your co-facilitator. This will include directing them if there are particular sections for them to deliver, and being clear on timings. You will need to feel comfortable giving peer feedback, including on language used during the session and timings. You will need to be motivational and encouraging as a lead, keeping things positive whilst also professional.
You as a representative of Sundial:
You will need to maintain a high level of professionalism as a trainer, showing interest in the client (e.g. the school safeguarding lead who has booked the sessions) and helping to build the relationship between them and Sundial. For example, you may be asked to join the client for lunch and this can be a great opportunity to discuss the needs of the school and possibly suggest other training sessions. You will need to help the client feel confident that the session will run smoothly and that the content will be appropriate for the audience.

Blue Marine Foundation seeks to protect and restore life in the ocean, aiming to see at least 30 per cent of the world’s oceans protected by 2030. We are a London-based NGO, with around 50 projects in 25 countries around the world.
Blue Marine is seeking a campaigner to join our policy and media team. This new position will report to the Director of Ocean and Climate. The responsibilities will be to manage a discreet, one year, global marine conservation campaign. This will include managing relationships between the campaign team, NGO partners, influencers and political stakeholders.

They will already be gaining momentum in the sector, with the ability to implement campaigns, understanding the complex political dynamics that go into ocean governance. Experience in the southern ocean, central and south America and at international ocean fora will all be beneficial to the role. An eye for technical detail, organisational rigour when it comes to delivery against workplans and the stamina and temerity to see campaigns through to their conclusion will all be useful in this role.

The Role
You will support the contract delivery of the Champions programmes, ensuring contract milestones are met. About the role:
You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside health professionals.
This role involves both face to face and virtual support. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office in Old Street and in co-location at Northwick Park Hospital.
As a Hospital Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.

- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.

- Have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key.

You will be responsible for overseeing Dalgarno Trust’s Programmes, and line managing our Community Champions Manager, Health Works Manager, Foodbank, Volunteer and Room Bookings Manager and Youth Programme Manager.
Purpose of the job:
- To maintain effective oversight of the delivery of a range of projects and programmes being managed by designated managers.
- To ensure performance management expectations are being met by each project and programme and reported to appropriate funders, including internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and responsibilities:
Service delivery management
- To keep abreast of key performance indicators expected to be measured and evidenced for each of the projects and programmes and keep under constant review the need for adjustments in processes to be able to achieve expected performance.
- To use Salesforce for monitoring and evaluating project outputs, outcomes, and impact for reporting to funders, including internal and external stakeholders.

We have a vacancy for a Flourish (Refugee and Asylum Seekers) Community Outreach Worker to join our team, supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the community with multiple needs who have mental health as a primary need, through providing advice, information and holistic support.
About the Service
‘Flourish’ is a highly flexible and responsive outreach service developed to meet the needs of refugees and asylum seekers in Hertfordshire. The aim of the service will be to support refugees and asylum seekers in the community with multiple needs who have mental health support as a primary need.
Purpose of Post
- To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with mental ill health.
- Support to build social networks and reduce isolation whilst settling into the Hertfordshire community this includes building a sustainable and empowering peer support network and building confidence and self-esteem.
- To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
- To work in a trauma informed way including awareness of the 6 principles of trauma informed practice, putting the clients emotional and practical needs at the forefront of this work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with all key delivery partners across the system to ensure the service is responsive, inclusive and easy to access.
- To take allocated referrals from any agencies including the Community Navigators, Borough and District Councils, Herts Help, Housing Providers, Herts Welcomes Refugees, the Refugee Council and self-referrals including walk in contacts at any of the Mind wellbeing centres across the county.
- Hold a caseload of clients, supporting for approx. 10 weeks
- To create a safe space for the individual to be able to explore their feelings and improve their understanding around their mental health.
- To complete a holistic needs assessment.
- Ensure all person centred risk assessments and support plans are completed.
- Proactively recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies.
- Support clients to build their emotional resilience, promoting self-management through building an understanding of their own triggers/coping strategies.
- To provide safeguarding intervention support. This will include responding to problems, which pose an immediate risk.
- To work alongside translators when required to provide a robust package of support for clients.
- To accompany clients to initial visits and appointments as necessary in order to ensure the sustained use of existing support services in the Borough.
- To provide advocacy services to clients experiencing mental ill health.
- To assist clients to access appropriate mental health services, housing/tenancy services and other services according to assessed needs.
- To establish effective pathways across a variety of agencies to maximise and provide effective partnership working, working with other third sector and VCSE organisations to provide signposting and continuity of care.

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in Old Windsor. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.
