We are looking for an experienced media officer to help grow the influence of our small but effective press office. With a new government in power, this is a critical time for our countryside and an exciting time to join CPRE, the countryside charity. As media officer, you’ll help to deliver high-profile coverage of CPRE’s work as part of an impactful and expanding team.

You’ll work closely with our media manager and other colleagues across our Policy and Advocacy teams to help communicate CPRE’s key policy lines to the public via print and broadcast media. You’ll also be working with CPRE’s network of local groups to help shape their media relations activities.

Your day-to-day work might include:

• Supporting and leading on conversations with journalists to help generate coverage of CPRE’s work
• Writing press releases and media briefings for internal and external audiences
• Using specialist software to evaluate CPRE’s press coverage and the wider media landscape
• Supporting colleagues to become effective and confident spokespeople

About the Role

The role will involve assessing needs and offering one to one support to service users to enable them to begin the process of improving their mental health and wellbeing and to providing clarity on services and pathways available in the area. The role will be part of a larger Crisis Café team made up of Crisis Recovery Workers, Crisis Peer Support Workers, Team Leaders and volunteers.

Service Delivery

• Deliver crisis focussed 1:1s and ensure outcomes which supports individuals experiencing a mental health crisis in Houghton Regis & Central Bedfordshire, in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed crisis service and requirements as well as contract requirements.
• Assessing need and suitability for the service in line with the access to services process, and undertaking 1:1s.
• Contribute to maintaining an effective volunteer workforce for the service in line with Mind BLMK’s HR policies, procedures and guidance (workload planning and support).
• Carry out Cash Handling, Health and Safety and Data Collection responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures, requirements and guidance.

About you

The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.

Oasis is looking for someone who can combine an entrepreneurial flair and excellent leadership skills to become the next Community Hub Leader supporting the established Hub at North Bristol.

Job Summary

The National Distribution Centre (NDC) Manager role is key in ensuring a resilient supply chain for St John Ambulance. Responsible for the implementation and management of the systems, process and people working within the NDC warehouse. The NDC manager is accountable for ensuring that stock is received, stored, managed, and dispatched appropriately including quality control checks as required. The NDC warehouse manager is responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are complied with, and all required training is completed by the personnel working within the NDC. You will play a key role in the achievement of the revenue and sustainability targets by ensuring the robust inventory management and cost efficient use of personnel and contractors. 

About You: 

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C) including Maths & English
• Demonstrable line management experience in a busy warehouse or distribution centre environment
• Demonstrable experience of working in accordance with quality assurance standards and health & safety regulations
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence with a minimum of 1 years driving experience and no more than 3 penalty points

About The Role 

• Accountable for planning workloads to ensure that goods are received, processed, stored, and delivered in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, the charities processes and our customers and suppliers stipulated KPI's.
• Create and deliver continuous development and improvement plans with people and processes to drive and increase operational excellence across the warehouse.
• Owning the delivery and associated change process of any new business or existing customers changes, through effective communication to all affected NDC Personnel.

What are we looking for?

• Desirable Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (i.e. Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People Workforce with the children's social care pathway).
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience working and supporting Young People to achieve their full potential.
• Ability to build and promote trusted relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Experience of achieving outcomes as part of working in a service and the records which evidence that.
• A working knowledge of key legislation regarding Safeguarding practices relating to children and young people
• Understanding of the issues experienced by young people such as bullying, gangs, radicalisation, self-harm, sexual exploitation and how these impact on behaviour.
