With 1 in 5 children struggling with their mental health, our surf therapy intervention is needed now more than ever. We transform the lives of children struggling with depression and anxiety. Through our 6 week course we help them to feel calm, confident, to have positive thoughts about themselves, to have higher self esteem and trust in others. We work with over 2000 children and young people across the UK every year and have reached over 14,000 over the past 14 years.

It is an exciting time to join the charity - we have a new CEO in post who has plans to take this charity to new heights - reaching even more children than ever before and we need an experienced fundraiser who can help us achieve that vision. Working as part of a small fundraising team you will have the ability to really make a substantial difference.

The role is advertised as 15 hours however there is the hope that this will end up being increased in the not too distant future. We will consider candidiates working remotely but for those based near HQ (Newquay, Cornwall) you will be able to join in with our pre work swims/paddles/coffee on the beach and our Bring and Share lunches! Please do not feel like you need to be a seasoned surfer for this role - the majority of the non delivery team are also not surfers!

Populo Living are partnering exclusively with Robertson Bell in their search for a permanent Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning. Populo Living is a development and housing company wholly owned by a single shareholder, Newham Council. Populo Living enable Newham to keep control of Council land and build high quality, low carbon homes and neighbourhoods whilst retaining the developer profit for Newham Council, in the form of new affordable homes and long-term investment income.

The role of Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning will lead, manage and co-ordinate the provision of the Groups Financial Planning, Treasury Management Services and Management Accounting functions as well as assist the Finance Director to lead and manage the Finance team.

The role:

• Lead, manage and motivate a team of four with two direct reports.
• Lead on all treasury related matters for the group such as arranging new funding, loan compliance, cashflow and banking.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Director of Finance and Operations with a leading health charity, on a full-time, permanent basis. As Director of Finance and Operations, you will be responsible for all financial, human resource and other resourcing aspects of the charity. About the Role

The Open Government Partnership (OGP) Support Unit (SU) seeks an experienced accounting professional with proven track record  in the non-profit sector to provide finance and accounting services to support the Finance team.  We are looking for an individual with strong understanding of accounting principles, with excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail. 

The consultant will assist with preparing and analyzing financial reports and ensuring that financial records are accurate and compliant with relevant regulations where OGP conducts business. This role involves various accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and assisting with audits. The Consultant will work closely with other finance team members to ensure that financial and accounting systems, controls, and standards are in place to support the organization's overall financial health.

 Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and experience with  accounting software- Intacct or Netsuite preferred. The consultant can work remotely, with a preference to be based in the Washington, D.C. area, London, or Brussels.

Deliverables and Timeline

Consultant services are required through March 31, 2025, with the possibility of a contract extension. Key deliverables and services to be provided include:

1. General Ledger Maintenance:

   • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.

   • Maintain and update balance sheet account reconciliations.

   • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

2. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare draft  financial statements and supporting schedules.

   • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

   • Support compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

   • Review payables and receivables.

   • Review and post accounts receivable payments.

   • Reconcile bank accounts using the accounting system.

4. Audit and Compliance:

   • Assist the Finance Director with internal and external audits.

   • Support the Finance Director to ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and donor requirement regulations.

   • Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit purposes.

5. Budgeting and Forecasting:

   • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

   • Assist with analyzing variances between actual results and budgeted figures.

6. Special Projects:

   • Support special projects and process improvements as needed.

   • Support the implementation of new budgeting software

Agreement and payment

OGP and the Consultant will enter into a service contract as listed in this Terms of Reference. The agreement will start as soon as possible. For services rendered per the description above, the consultant will be issued a contract with a fee of US$60/hour (VAT included) corresponding to about 20 hours per week between October and March. Contract will be for a maximum of 560 hours of work through March 31, 2025, with a ceiling amount of USD $33,600, with possibility of renewal. The consultant will invoice OGP at either monthly or other agreed upon frequency intervals, as preferred, and include details of number of hours worked and description of services rendered per invoice period and banking information. OGP will provide an invoice template.

About the Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP)

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 700 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, tackling self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. We aim to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead, drawing on our heritage that combines specialist treatment in-house and outreach into communities. Fundraising at BCYP

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. Until now, applications have largely been submitted by our Fundraising Manager- Trusts & Foundations, with occasional support from a freelance bid-writer. We now want to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward these key relationships.

In this exciting newly created role, you will be responsible for helping to grow our income from grant- makers to design and promote funding opportunities, and to steward relationships with supporters through the giving cycle. We are looking for a fundraiser with at least three to four years of experience in identifying prospects and grant-writing, and who has experienced success in securing funds. Vitally, we want to recruit an individual who is as committed to Brent’s vision, and who will work with us to help us be there for young people in the coming years.

As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you’ll create opportunities for our amazing supporters to connect with and drive our work through various means of individual giving. You'll create engaging communucations, ensuring that our donors feel valued and understand the impact they're having on babies and their families, and you'll develop key appeals and individual giving activity to drive growth in these income streams.

You will:

1. Manage the development of individual giving income streams, including legacy giving, regular giving, one-off gifts, in memory giving and new products

General Statement of Duties

The St John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital has a loyal donor base, and we are now able to grow the major donor portfolio significantly to build our long-term sustainable income.  The Grants & Partnerships Officer will lead on delivering a best-practice grant-giving programme as part of a wider major donor programme.

Alongside the Executive Head of the UK Office, the Grants & Partnerships Officer will develop new major donors prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies as part of a wider fundraising strategy.

This is a key role within a small and dedicated team.  The successful candidate will have a professional, ambitious, solutions-based approach with a track record of fundraising success. They will be ready for and excited by the challenge of building up a major donor programme.

Main Responsibilities

To deliver a successful grant-giving programme and devise and deliver new prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to meet agreed targets, including:

· Establishing and managing strong relationships with past, current and prospective grant-giving organisations, delivering the highest possible levels of care and attention.

· Understanding all prospective and current donor profiles, and their motivations and communication styles.  Formulating personalised cultivation and stewardship plans.

· Set up and maintain regular communications with all grant-giving donors and prospects, tailoring this as required to strengthen their relationship with us.  

· Support and facilitate the Trustees and Senior Leadership Team in developing relationships with grant-giving bodies and prospects, and in how to manage these relationships to facilitate donations.

· Use creativity and adaptive thinking to develop a new and exciting programme of cultivation and stewardship events, visits, and activities to engage prospects and donors in our work and to support these key relationships.  Work with internal teams and senior volunteers to deliver events and activities to the highest standard.

· Developing and refining the internal systems needed to run a smooth and efficient grant-giving programme such as data management, internal communications, and reporting.

· Know and understand the longer-term financial strategy of the organisation and work with the Finance Director and Executive Head of UK Office to ensure the appropriate identification of funding needs.

· Work with the Executive Head of UK Office and other colleagues as required to develop compelling cases for support and funding packages that channel funds to where the need is greatest and that ensure our financial security.

· Work with the Executive Head of UK Office to manage the grant-getting budget to ensure the successful and cost-effective delivery of annual activities and understand and follow finance related procedures such as income forecasting, reporting and Gift Aid.

· Support and deputise for the Fundraising Officer (Community Fundraising), as required, to establish and manage strong relationships with past, current, and prospective community donors and partners, delivering the highest possible levels of care and attention.

· Provide project support as required to the Fundraising Officer (Community Fundraising) to ensure the successful implementation of community engagement and fundraising programmes.

· Minimum of 3-years’ fundraising experience with a demonstrable track record of developing stakeholder and donor relationships with a responsibility for securing a minimum of six-figure gifts from grant-making bodies.

· Experience of working with high-value Trusts & Foundations.

· An exceptional and eloquent communicator, both written and verbal communications skills, and a natural relationship builder, you will have solid experience of presenting, negotiating, networking, and influencing.

· Experience of working to and commitment to achieving financial targets.

· Understanding of the principles and best practice of fundraising including Data Protection, ideally within humanitarian and/or international organisations.

At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a Corporate Partnerships Officer to join our team.

You'll support the Corporate New Business Manager with the account management of corporate partnerships and generating new income through securing new corporate partnerships.

You'll support the development and ongoing review of the prospect pipeline, researching companies and sectors with an affinity for our work, whilst managing a portfolio of small to medium sized partnerships (worth approximately £5-75k per annum). You'll produce high quality written proposals and pitch materials, as well as organising volunteering opportunities for corporate partners.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience working within Corporate Partnerships, or another fundraising income stream.
• Experience of supporter relationship management with a track record of building successful relationships.
• The ability to work independently, using own initiative and creativity.

Position Overview

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of our leadership team responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organisation. The COO will work closely with the CEO and SMT to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the charity by playing a pivotal role in overseeing various aspects of our operations, including compliance, safeguarding, operations and team management, finance, human resources, IT, and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Programme Management:

- Supervise staff and ensure the effective delivery of our programs and services.

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).

· 5+ years proven experience in senior operational roles within the non-profit sector

· Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams 

· Exceptional organisational and project management abilities.

· Demonstrable experience in budgeting, financial management, and people leadership 

· Excellent line management skills with the ability to work across a multi-disciplinary team of virtual working staff.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS HOME BASED BUT REQUIRES THE POST HOLDER TO ATTEND REGULAR MEETINGS AND EVENTS IN PERSON, IN LONDON. 

The role will involve developing and nurturing relationships with those who own, manage, design or have an interest in green infrastructure by proactively facilitating our networks and supporter activities to engender more effective and collaborative working, knowledge sharing, and connection.

This is a great role for someone who is excited by working with senior stakeholders across London who play an active role in maintaining and enhancing London’s green spaces.

The successful candidate will be a confident ambassador for the charity, and capable of building long term partnerships. The post holder will need to use their initiative, creativity and proven partnership building skills to enable the charity to expand and maximise the impact of its existing networks, support internal and external development, and plan and coordinate supporter-focused activities.

• Deliver and enhance our network and engagement programme to support green space owners and managers
• Support and coordinate the administration and delivery of a range of virtual and in-person network meetings and events
• Identify and develop relationships with potential new supporters 
• Support the identification, and engagement of new audiences who could benefit from our work
• Identify and develop relationships with potential collaborators with whom we can work in partnership with, to maximise our capacity and expand our reach
• Support the sustainability of the charity by driving and maximising existing income streams as well as identifying and delivering new opportunities for income generation
• Represent Parks for London at events and wider engagement opportunities, and promote the interests of the charity, our services, and our supporters
• Keep abreast of local, regional, national and international funding opportunities to identify opportunities for both the charity and those in our networks
• Contribute to the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Parks for London and our services
• Play an active role in strategic reviews, business planning, and contribute to the wider thinking and planning of the charity
• Carry out other duties and activities as agreed with the Executive Director
