Job description

Be a part of an energetic and vibrant team who are driven by the desire to improve the lives of people living with kidney disease! We’re partnering with Kidney Research UK to recruit a Philanthropy Manager to implement and grow the charity’s major giving strategy. This role is working on a hybrid working basis, working from from their offices in Peterborough once a fortnight, and can be worked on a full time (37.5) or a minimum of 30 hours per week basis. 

The successful candidate will develop high level relationships with new and existing major donors, building high-class relationships through understanding donor motivations, delivering tailored communications and creating a bespoke donor journey, as well as thinking strategically about growing philanthropic income for the long term. Key duties include:

·        Deliver, build and effectively implement the Philanthropy strategy, with a focus on raising significant income from the mid to high value portfolio and developing new relationships.

·        Manage and build established relationships with our existing portfolio of high value donors and influential supporters, providing excellent levels of stewardship across all donors.

·        Develop and identify new opportunities to build a pipeline of major supporters. This will include leading and supporting approaches to new prospects and developing new strategies for cultivation.

We’re looking for the following skills and experience:

·        Experience and ability to confidently make successful major gift asks, with a track record of securing high value gifts.

·        Excellent relationship building skills with a range of stakeholders, internally and externally.

·        Confident interpersonal skills and an ability to deliver engaging, persuasive proposals and presentations to potential donors and partners.
