Our Communications/Content Editor for our GoParksLondon project provides an essential role in spreading the word about our work and campaigns and engaging with new supporters, helping to promote the importance and benefits of developing a greener London with links to the surrounding countryside. It will bring our work to a wider audience and help attract new people to support us.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Duties may include but are not limited to:
· Use your creative flair to write compelling copy which raises the profile and work of CPRE London
· Developing a balanced range of new content which may include current news, opinion pieces and features for communication to via the GoParksLondon channels (EDM, Social Media, web content, events)
· Working with the social media volunteer to promote new content
· Creating and sending our monthly newsletter
· Maintaining and adding to the image library
· Using photos and images to good visual effect and to represent the full range of our work and the people involved
· Overseeing overall content in line with brand guidelines, liaising with CPRE London communications team
· Optimising published pieces for SEO
Our team will provide training and support to develop your role.
What are we looking for?
Key Skills & Experience
Preferably with 2 or more years’ experience of communications roles with excellent writing and editorial skills, good attention to details, and familiar with managing messages in the media.
· Experience of writing for publications and the web
· Great communication skills and an engaging style of writing
· Content editing and attention to detail
· An interest in environmental issues and enthusiasm for our aims
· Work independently and as part of a team

Working pattern
Hours: 7-14 hours per week
Pattern: hybrid delivery can be flexible but availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays (the Head of Campaign’s working days) would be beneficial.
