Anti-Slavery International, founded in 1839, is an international non-governmental organisation, registered charity and advocacy group. It is the world's oldest international human rights organisation and works exclusively against slavery and related abuses. They believe that modern slavery is a contemporary issue of the highest importance, and they are determined to work with others to ensure that the estimated 40 million people across the world live their lives free from slavery for good.
This role is offered on a flexible full-time permanent basis paying between £ £40,777 to 44,011 per annum with flexible working arrangements at their London office.
The post holder will join the Fundraising and Communications team building on a period of exponential growth in foundations and major gifts of over five-fold in five years. They will be responsible for developing and managing Anti-Slavery International’s individual major giving (gifts of £5,000+) and to lead and develop Anti-Slavery International’s trusts and major donor fundraising programme. They will be responsible for the success of the overall major gifts and foundations strategy to engage, retain and inspire their loyal supporters and partners in addition to attracting new, long term, multi-year funders.
They are looking for someone with a demonstrable track record of securing five or six-figure+ multi-year restricted and unrestricted funding from high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and foundations. They are looking for a candidate with demonstratable experience of building strong internal relationships and comfortable working alongside and directing senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will share their vision to help end slavery and have the experience of working within an international development/human rights organisation.

The Role:
We have a newly created opportunity for a Head of Income Generation to join ELF as a senior leader within our charity. You will be responsible for setting and delivering our fundraising strategy and achieving income targets in line with our objectives. You will manage our income generation team and support the CEO and Board of Trustees to set and deliver strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting and delivering ELF’s income generation strategy in consultation with the CEO and the fundraising team.
- Line managing our fundraising team and providing management to the wider team when the CEO is absent.
- Recording fundraising activity and maintaining accurate reports to meet KPIs.
- Setting monthly income targets based upon activities, opportunities and key dates.
- Developing and managing a prospect pool for major gift cultivation, researching relevant donors and facilitating introduction.
- Creating compelling fundraising proposals and communicating effectively with donors.
- Ensuring excellent stewardship of donors, providing relevant reports and updates.
- Supporting fundraising efforts across various income streams, including trusts, grants, and corporates.
- Ensuring compliance with the Charity Commission and Fundraising Regulator guidelines.
- Promoting ELF’s mission, values, and acting as an ambassador with donors, patients and stakeholders.
- Attending board meetings to provide updates on income generation.

The Person:
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working in a fundraising position and driving an income-generation strategy. You will have demonstrable success in securing gifts from a range of donors and in building excellent relationships, with colleagues, donors and beneficiaries. You’ll come with substantial experience in applying for grants from a range of sources and in securing legacy pledges.
The ideal candidate will have a proven knowledge of fundraising principles and of the Fundraising Regulator and Charity Commission guidelines. You’ll be experienced in using fundraising databases and data segmentation to identify and develop prospect lists. Exceptional attention to detail and a good working knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles are required.
As our Head of Income Generation, you will be highly motivated with the ability to find pragmatic solutions, seek improvements and adapt to changing situations. You’ll share ELF’s passion in supporting cancer patients and their families.
Experience working in a medical charity would be desirable, but we will consider candidates from a variety of charitable backgrounds. Team leadership experience would be beneficial. A fundraising qualification would be useful, although not essential.
This role can is offered on either a full-time or part-time basis. We can be flexible with how the hours sit across the week to fit in with your schedule, however we do ask that the role holder works during core hours and has some flexibility to occasionally attend events and fundraisers outside of working hours. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of two days per week based in the Marsh Barton office.

Helping patients in Devon live with blood cancer.
Better Cotton makes cotton better for the farmers who produce it and for all those who have a stake in the future of the cotton industry. Today almost a quarter of the world’s cotton is produced under the Better Cotton Standard, and 2.2million cotton farmers have been trained in sustainable farming practices and are licensed to grow Better Cotton. A lot of this work is funded by the brilliant efforts of the fundraising and development team, and Prospectus is pleased to be partnering with them to recruit a new Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator – Social Impact.
The Coordinator will drive revenue in support of ongoing success and growth of Better Cotton globally. The role will be responsible for growing income from institutional partners, corporates, and philanthropists and will line manage a Fundraising and Partnerships Officer too. In collaboration with the Programme Funding Manager and Director of Development, you will hyper-focus on social impact funding and will work closely with relevant thematic leads and country teams for proposal design, coordination and reporting of funded projects.
The selected candidate will have effective fundraising management and planning skills and excellent writing skills that have resulted in successful proposals. Key responsibilities

About the role

About the Role

This opportunity comes at an exciting time as we are expanding the team in response to increased donor interest in the world-leading research and teaching being undertaken across the Social Sciences at Oxford.
About the role:
In this role you will help identify potential donors to our academic research projects on pressing issues such as climate change, early years education and social inequality. A team player, you will have outstanding written communication and work alongside the wider team and academics to develop funding proposals, donors reports and briefing documents. You will also work on special projects that come up for the team such as event support and campaign reporting.

The ultimate aim of these activities is to increase the number of active War on Want members who support their work through regular direct debit donations. As individual giving lead, you will join the team at a very exciting time. They have recently launched a new supporter mobilisation strategy to bring transformative growth to our supporter base. The starting salary is £46,636 and the role is hybrid working, with one day a month at War on Want’s head office. More in-person days are required on an ad-hoc basis.
