In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Strategy, vision and impact [25%]

• Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives
• Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure effective recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme
• Oversee the reporting of the Centre outcomes and ensure the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets

Leadership, line management and training [25%]

• Lead your team with confidence; spurring them on in Resurgo’s mission; invest in a team culture of excellence, belonging and fun
• Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Graduate Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
• Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme

Relationship management [20%]

• Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees
• Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
• Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room

Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]

• Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets
• Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
• Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment

Operations [10%]

• Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

We are seeking a committed and resilient Specialist Multiple Disadvantage Worker to join our dedicated team at our Female Supported Accommodation Service. Our service provides vital support to women facing a range of complex challenges, including homelessness, substance misuse, mental health issues, and experiences of violence and abuse.

As a Specialist Multiple Disadvantage Worker, you will:

• Provide specialist interventions and one-to-one support to a caseload of women with complex needs.
• Work within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE), utilising trauma-informed practices to support women who may have experienced rough sleeping, domestic violence (DV), or violence against women and girls (VAWG).
• Collaborate with external agencies such as Adult Social Care, Health, Mental Health, and other specialist providers to enhance access to services and improve outcomes.
• Support and guide Project Workers, sharing your expertise and setting best practice standards for complex needs support.
• Advocate for your clients, helping them navigate the health and social care systems to access the services they deserve.

Purpose of the role

We are looking for a creative, organised, and disciplined person to take on a key role within our rapidly expanding organisation. As the Communications and Digital Officer, you will be central in the implementation of Black Thrive Global’s communications strategy. You will be supporting our Communications Manager in the delivery of all aspects of communications and marketing activity with both key stakeholders and the public.

You will help to support the creation of a compelling and consistent narrative about the work that Black Thrive Global does across all our communication channels. You will be integral in helping to disseminate key messaging for core projects and work-streams working closely with our internal teams and external partners. Black Thrive Global’s communication approach aims to be both reactive and proactive, and you will be expected to be well informed about events and trends in the media and public arena.

Duties and responsibilities

1.  Produce compelling and engaging content for internal and external blog posts, newsletters, and digital content across our communication channels.
2. Produce in-house design for publications and promotional materials and social media assets as required.
3. Lead on delivery and scheduling of the Communications Calendar, this will include horizon scanning of the news agenda as well as regular yearly campaigns i.e., Disability Week, Refugee Month, International Day of the Girl, LGBTQIA+ etc.
4. Deliver and implement our social media strategy across our various platforms.
5. Lead on managing and developing social media channels to engage and grow our online audience.

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Job title: Young Carers and Young Adult Carers Team Leader

Job aim: Our carers, aged between 5 and 25, provide support to a parent, sibling or other family member due to disability, a long-term illness, poor mental health and/or addiction. You will lead and provide day to day operational management to the Young Carers (YC) and Young Adult Carers (YAC) team so that they can effectively provide support to these young people, whilst also raising awareness of Carers Bucks services across Buckinghamshire.

Location: Hybrid. A minimum of 2 days a week from home with the other days working flexibly from home or in the community, as agreed by your line manager, with attendance at our Aylesbury office as and when required.

Annual Leave 25 days annual leave (which increase with long service) + bank holidays.

Main Responsibilities:

These include, but are not limited to:

· Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and attend regular training and refresher courses.

· Day to day management of the YC/YAC team- establishing and maintaining a positive and effective working environment and dealing promptly with any interpersonal issues.

· Day to day operational responsibility for the effective running of the YC/YAC services.

· Ensure that all new referrals, and all queries from current registered YC/YAC, are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner, and to the highest possible standard.

· Carry a caseload, both individually and alongside your team.

· Ensure that staff have the support and resources they need to run targeted sessions, clubs and activities which effectively meet the needs of YC/YAC.

· Ensure there are enough staff to cover the service at all times and assist with recruitment when required.

· Ensure that staff work in an integrated way with their colleagues in the Adult Carer Team, and at our sister charity Carers MK, in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for carers of all ages across the region.

· Ensure that all data relating to carers is stored correctly using our internal database, Charity Log.

· Create and review reports using Charity Log, for the purposes of monitoring and to help identify gaps in the service.

· Work with the Service Manager to develop services and maintain an in-depth understanding of the needs of the YC/YAC who are accessing our services.

· Actively promote inclusive practice.

· Lead and facilitate team meetings.

· Provide staff with feedback regarding their individual performance via quarterly supervision sessions and annual performance reviews.

· Provide staff with information relating to the organisation’s performance against operational targets during your regular team meetings.

· Work with the team to support and supervise volunteers recruited on behalf of the YC and YAC service.

· Ensure the team have had all the training they require to perform their duties and liaise with the Service Manager to source external training (or deliver internal training) where appropriate.

· Represent Carers Bucks at promotional events, conferences and relevant networking meetings, and actively participate in activities that we run ourselves e.g. our AGM, Carers Week and Young Carers Action Day.

· Deputise for the Service Manager when required.

Building networks and understanding what motivates our supporters, and aligning our activities with philanthropic interests, are crucial to our growth plans for this income stream. A primary focus of this role will be to identify potential donors capable of making transformational gifts. The Training Officer will be involved in developing new and innovative pieces of work, including digital and in-person training packages alongside supporting the ongoing development of an accredited learning programme for Personal Advisers in Leaving Care Service Teams.

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Programme Coordinator to join our small but committed team, playing a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mentoring programmes and women's support groups.

The Role

You’ll support the Programme Manager in coordinating the logistics and delivery of our mentoring services, which include our flagship Mentoring for Mothers programme and its adaptation, Mentoring for Mothers Welcome, tailored to support asylum-seeking women and their children.

From the initial application stage to conducting assessments and making the all-important mentor-mentee matches, you’ll ensure that everyone feels supported and valued throughout their journey with us. You’ll also be a crucial point of contact for our volunteer mentors, providing training and supervision, answering queries, and ensuring they feel confident in their roles.

In addition, you’ll take an active role in the coordination of our Women Support Groups, which help to foster a sense of community and solidarity. An understanding of the challenges faced by asylum seekers and refugees is crucial, as is a solid grasp of safeguarding principles and experience implementing them. The members of the Society comprise a fellowship of those interested in the very many diverse aspects of Morris’ life and artistic output – ranging from his famous wallpaper and tapestry designs, through his stained-glass and literary works, to his perhaps less-well known political activism. With something for everyone, we are a diverse membership – from across the UK and further afield.

We combine our broad and international appeal with a strong local presence in Hammersmith based on the contribution of Morris to the arts & crafts movement and grassroots politics during his time living at Kelmscott House – the Coach House of which is today run by the Society as a museum. We work with organisations across the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, including the Council from whom we receive an annual grant.

A wide-ranging and rewarding role, the Director of The William Morris Society and Museum is responsible for leading the strategic direction, operational management, and financial sustainability of the charity. This involves overseeing museum operations, exhibitions, public programmes, membership services, and commercial activities, managing a small team of staff and volunteers. The postholder will be required to secure renewal of Museum Accreditation and, in consultation with the board, to develop and implement a new Strategic Plan.

Essential Criteria:

• Proven leadership experience in the museum or cultural sector or membership societies.
• Strong financial management and fundraising skills, including experience with budgeting, grant writing, and commercial activities.
• Experience in developing and delivering strategic plans and managing major projects.
• Demonstrated experience in managing teams, volunteers, and facilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage risk and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience managing historic buildings and conservation projects.
• Knowledge of William Morris and his legacy.
• Strong digital and marketing skills, particularly in enhancing visitor engagement.
• Familiarity with Museum, or other, Accreditation standards and curatorial practices.

You will be joining our new Propel into Work service and will deliver advice, support and information for care experienced young people towards vocational learning and employment opportunities, and their supporting adults, via 1-to-1 support and employability workshops, resources on our Propel Into Work webpages, and by connecting young people with volunteers to offer further career insights. Whilst this role will support care experienced young people in different parts of England, they will have a particular presence and visibility in Manchester and Greater Manchester, through attending events, some in-person delivery, connecting with local organisations, and engaging with volunteers from local corporate partners.

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs and gambling. Right now, we’re looking for someone like you to join our NGAGE Young People’s Service in Northampton. NGAGE is an early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18 and we provide information, education, advice, and support to young people concerning drug and alcohol use.

As Team Leader you will ensure good clinical practice and ensure the service operates within policy and statutory requirements. You will also provide induction, supervision, coaching and work and development reviews. In addition, you will:

• Deal with performance management issues
• Assist in the recruitment of team members and volunteers
• Develop and maintain effective liaison with commissioners and service providers
• Manage the budget for the service, ensuring appropriate recording and data reporting

Ideally you have:

• A professional qualification in health/social care, youth and community work, (e.g. NVQ Level 4 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies).
