Ethiopiaid is a small charity that makes a big impact in Ethiopia. Our approach is simple, and it works. We partner with local NGOs in Ethiopia to provide the funding they need to put their programmes into action.
Our dedicated and friendly team of nine staff are based in central Bath and we are seeking someone to join us in the Partnerships team to focus on growing income from trusts and foundations, support fundraising from high-net worth individuals, and provide administration support to our CEO.
Working with the Senior Partnerships Manager and Partnerships Manager you will focus on developing our small portfolio of existing trusts and foundations as well as prospects, support with delivering excellent stewardship and engagement, and lead on prospect research to attract and secure new funders.
As part of a small energetic team, you will also contribute to the growth of income from high-net worth individuals and the delivery of wider team objectives.
- Location: Central Bath – 2 core days a week in the office with opportunity to work from home the remaining 3.
- Hours: Full time (40 hours per week, incl lunch)
- Benefits: Salary £24,600, annual leave 27 days + UK public holidays, matched pension contributions - 5% of salary after probationary period.

Ethiopiaid Office Culture:
We are a professional, yet relaxed, office with a flexible work structure (core hours 9.30am to 3.30pm). The team are expected to work two days a week in the office, with an option to work flexibly on the other days from home if you can provide a suitable office set up. As a small team, we have a warm and collaborative work environment with opportunities to develop your skillset in areas in - and outside of - your job role.
Our Bath office is close to main transport links, walking distance from local shops, cafes, and restaurants. We have a small garden courtyard, space for those who wish to cycle in to store their bikes, on-site shower and changing facilities.
Essential requirements:
- Excellent verbal and writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Good research skills, able to digest and summarise complex information into easy to communicate language
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets
- Able to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Competency in Raisers Edge database or a similar CRM platform and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Willingness to be ‘hands on’ and take the initiative

- Must live within easy commuting distance to our office in Bath.
Desirable requirements:
- Experience/ understanding of one of the following areas would be an advantage: Individual Giving, Grantmakers or Major Donor fundraising
- Donor stewardship experience

demonstrate an ability to write clearly and to a high standard, with good verbal communication skills, pays
attention to detail, enjoys researching, is quick to learn and not afraid to ask question.

Training Workshops Manager
We are looking for a Training/Workshops Manager with a deep understanding of how working with families and the principles of Positive Behaviour Support can transform the lives of people with learning disabilities whose behaviours challenge.
Join a small and friendly UK-based charity dedicated to improving quality of life for children, young people and adults with severe learning disabilities whose behaviour is described as challenging, and their families.
This is a hybrid-working role offering flexible working hours.
Position: Training/Workshops Manager
Location: Chatham, Kent/hybrid or remote
Hours: Part Time - 25 hours per week (days/times to be agreed)
Salary: £33 - £35K depending on experience pro rata

The Role
Join a small team who have a big impact. The voice of family carers is at the centre of what the team does, and they are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of the children, young people and adults with severe learning disabilities by:
- Championing their rights
- Providing timely information and support
- Raising awareness and understanding
- Promoting and sharing best practice
There are a bank of five workshops, each developed through co-production with families and co-delivered by a qualified practitioner and a family carer. The workshops are pivotal to sharing best practice about support for people with severe learning disabilities whose behaviours challenge with both professionals and family carers.
You will:
- Ensure that all workshops and training sessions are co-designed, co-developed, and co-delivered by both qualified practitioners and family carers with lived experience, ensuring that the content is relevant, practical, and grounded in real-world experiences.
- Oversee the delivery of these workshops, ensuring they are of high quality, engaging, and accessible to diverse audiences.
- Promote and secure bookings for workshops, leading to income generation.
About You
You will be an experienced trainer, with the skills to manage and develop a programme of five workshops, co-delivered by a bank of trainers. You will have experience of co-production with families and the skills to establish and develop relationships with a range of external stakeholders and you will be comfortable with autonomy, with the initiative to drive forward the programme of workshops.
You will have:
- Knowledge/experience of issues affecting children and/or adults with learning disabilities and behaviour described as challenging
- Experience working in co-production
- Experience in workshop design

About the Organisation
The charity was set up in 1997 by Vivien Cooper OBE, the parent of a child with severe learning disabilities who displayed a range of challenging behaviours. At the time, there was no support for families like Viv’s and no adequate provision to support her son – other than almost three hundred miles away!

The Retail Business Manager, South provides a new opportunity to be a part of the evolution of Save the Children Retail.

Working as an integral part of the ED Navigator team, our successful candidate will identify and assess young victims of violence and provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment, advice, referral and support service, exploring innovative and effective ways of supporting them which will reduce their risk of re-victimisation.
You will produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, promoting inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, which will include providing practical help such as social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options and appearing in court. We will also count on you to develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and to close cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for the client that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support.

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families
• Experience in working as part of a multi-agency team

• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one
• A knowledge of relevant services for young people and their families in the service provision area
• First-class interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, both verbal and written.

The role
We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate Mental Health Trainer to deliver short courses to groups of people in our community to improve their mental wellbeing. You will also deliver mental health awareness workshops to corporates and other organisations in and around the Tunbridge Wells area, and help to facilitate internal workshops with staff and volunteers. The main duties and responsibilities are:
1. Course Development:
- Design and develop short courses for specific groups of people in our community, with information and tools to enable people to manage their mental wellbeing, ensuring content is evidence-based, culturally sensitive, and relevant to diverse audiences.
- Develop workshops for corporates and other organisations on mental health and steps they can take to promote mental wellbeing in their workplace or organisation.

3. Participant Engagement:

- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop and disseminate marketing and promotional materials and activities for the short courses.

- Collect and analyse feedback from participants to continually improve course content and delivery, and share feedback with colleagues.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the courses and workshops and make adjustments as needed.

You will have experience of supporting people with complex mental health issues, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong networking and presentation skills and a passion for raising awareness about mental wellbeing. As a Mental Health Trainer, you will play a crucial role in representing the charity and enhancing the mental wellbeing of our community through the delivery of engaging and informative short courses and workshops.

Aquarius helps young people aged 5-18 overcome the harm caused by drugs and alcohol by working closely with the individual, family members and other professionals. But it’s only possible with the help of people like you.
Your challenge? – To provide information and advice, brief interventions and long-term structured interventions to support young people who are using drugs and alcohol or being impacted by someone else’s use. You will be conducting assessments, risk assessments, care-planning and working directly with other services such as schools, social care, mental health services and youth offending.The successful candidate must have exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work with other agencies both face to face, email and via telephone.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you will be required to hold a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field .
