Your role will involve responding to supporter requests, questions and queries from a range of communication channels, including email and phone, helping to deliver a first-class supporter experience. This frontline role is contributing to the development of the fundraising team to reach unrestricted income targets.
You will report directly to the Director of Supporter Marketing, and work closely with the Database team on a range of activities.
You will have excellent customer service skills and previous experience in a similar role. You will be well organised with meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The organisation
Every year in the UK, around 100 children are diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that mostly affects children under five. Neuroblastoma UK is a small national charity dedicated to finding a cure for this life-threatening disease - and is seeking a talented Senior Fundraising Officer to help us raise vital funds.
For 40 years, we’ve funded leading research to develop new, more effective and kinder treatments for children with neuroblastoma. The role
The Senior Fundraising Officer is responsible for managing our portfolio of events and liaising with our community fundraisers to maximise their fundraising, as well as managing our individual supporters and managing fundraising admin across multiple areas. A key part of the role is ensuring our fundraising is compliant and developing strong relationships with our fundraisers.
The charity has a small team so everyone helps with thanking and banking, database management and administrative tasks and this role gives you the opportunity to have lots of autonomy and creative freedom in developing our fundraising.
Currently, this role reports to a committed Board of Trustees, many of whom have a personal connection to the cause.

Managing our portfolio of challenge events and their participants, as well as the relationships with our committed community fundraisers, to support them and help them to maximise their fundraising.

As the Peer to Peer Groupwork Facilitator you will set up, lead and deliver a year-long peer to peer group programme for bereaved families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child.
The groupwork is based on a programme led by Harvard University and Boston’s Children’s hospital and has structured sessions drawing upon psychological model of CBT, although the sessions are not therapeutic. Each session has a theme and incorporates education, guidance and support.
You will establish and deliver a new peer online support group, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery and creating a safe and welcoming space for bereaved families.
Outside the group sessions you will be responsible for managing the administration and evaluation of the service, including and collection of questionnaires and feedback required for reporting purposes and supporting members with any signposting requirements processing referrals, carrying out eligibility screening, monitoring the waiting list and inputting and keeping all database member and service records up to date.
It is a key time to be joining the charity and helping us to continue to save babies’ lives and support bereaved families. The charity has been hugely successful, but the work is far from done. About this role:
This role is a remote role (must be in England or Wales) within a supportive and friendly team. As the Fundraising Officer for Community and Events you will:
- Support the delivery of a successful fundraising plan that aligns with Victim Support's vision, mission and values.
- Implement and support impactful activities associated with our Community, Fundraising Events and Individual Giving income streams.
- Develop, advertise and recruit fundraisers into a calendar of third-party events.
- Provide excellent supporter care by offering support, guidance and fundraising materials to cultivate long-term relationships.
- Write and design engaging fundraising communications such as newsletters, appeals, articles, case studies and thank-you correspondence.
- Encourage and facilitate effective fundraising activity by our staff and volunteers outside the Fundraising Team.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in setting and successfully meeting goals
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with different audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Good organisational skills; ability to work under own initiative, flexible and able to prioritise effectively
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases and a familiarity with social media
Ideally, you will have previous experience working in a fundraising or communications related role, and have a good working understanding and knowledge of the charity sector and available funding sources; however, this is not a requirement.

The role
Are you a fundraiser with strong communication skills who enjoys building meaningful and rewarding relationships with mid and high value donors? If so, we have an opportunity to join our Philanthropy and Partnerships team in the newly created role of Philanthropy Officer.
In this role you will support the Philanthropy Manager and Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships in securing new four and five figure multi-year gifts from individuals. Your responsibilities will include day-to-day management and implementation of the mid-value giving strategy, verbal and written presentation of donor funding proposals, prospect research, and account management of your own High Net Worth individual supporters. Much of this role will be involved in the planning, project management and delivery of special major donor events to achieve defined strategic objectives.
About you
You will be an excellent communicator, both orally and written, who is confident in speaking with supporters. You will manage your own pipeline of donors, so will need to take initiative, prioritise and organise your own work, with limited supervision. You may have had experience organising and hosting special events for stewardship and cultivation, but this is not essential.
You will have:
- Excellent customer service skills with a background in major donor, relationship fundraising, direct marketing or a similar role working with High-Net-Worth Individuals.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills with an ability to present ideas creatively and persuasively.
- Confidence soliciting and securing four and five figure gifts from prospective donors, both verbally and in writing.
- Be comfortable managing a pipeline of supporters and presenting strategic planning recommendations based on data and analysis.
- A high standard of administrations skills with strong attention to detail.
- Competency with all standard Microsoft office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience of using a supporter database or CRM

About the role
An exciting role to deliver a tailored package of support that will help Reigate and Banstead Council to increase levels of active travel in the area. You will engage with schools, workplaces, and communities to support and enable more people to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot for local everyday journeys, instead of taking the car.
As the Project Officer, you will plan and deliver fun, innovative and engaging activities such as mapping safe routes, leading rides and walks, practical skills sessions, competitions, initiatives and information events. The range of activities, events and resources will be adapted to meet the needs of the different audiences and will be designed to be inclusive so as many people as possible can benefit from the project and more local journeys can be travelled actively.
This role will require you to work with a range of people across local and diverse communities, workplaces and schools in Reigate and Banstead. Creating relationships with key people and employers, understanding the barriers, challenges and opportunities to actively travel. You will be working closely with others to develop a programme of activities.
You will have the opportunity to give people confidence, enthusiasm and skills to travel more actively, through events and community activities.
You will build and manage internal and external relationships with key people such as school or community travel champions, local authority colleagues and other Sustrans delivery officers.
Within the role, there will be an expectation to capture the impact of the project through completing reporting and monitoring, writing case studies, capturing quotes and photos and contributing to an end of project report.
This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.
About you
You should have experience of working with children and young people within a community setting and delivering physical activities to groups. Your knowledge of the local area will help you form relationships with a wide range of organisations, groups, and individuals.
You will be a self-motivated and solution driven individual used to working independently as well as part of a team, with the ability to plan and prioritise your workload.
