As a Fundraising Manager you will:

• Be responsible for the operational delivery of on-air fundraising appeals, including briefing documents, promotional materials, and donation incentives. 
• Review and implement the use of impact audio from on-air appeals, coach presenters during appeals, and manage the On-Air Testimony Producer who secures live donor calls.
• Be a key contributor to the charity’s on-air fundraising programme, overseeing monthly on-air fundraising messaging, script writing, production, and traffic scheduling.
• Contribute ideas for capturing audience data and oversee the execution of on-air data  capture campaigns. 

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Proven experience in fundraising,
• Demonstrated success in working with external consultants and content teams to creatively deliver successful fundraising campaigns.
• Broad understanding of the Church and a Christian audience.
• Working experience of radio broadcast systems including creation of clocks in systems such as Zetta would be an advantage.
• Experience driving a radio studio desk would be an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Photoshop and other regularly used  applications.
• Excellent team working skills.
• Excellent communication skills, written, oral and public speaking.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. The Passage are a London based charity providing homeless people with the support to transform their lives. Their vision is of a society where street homelessness no longer exists, and everyone has a place to call home. In 2023-24, they supported over 2000 people experiencing or at risk of homelessness and prevented nearly 900 people from becoming homeless through a variety of services.

About the role

As the new Community and Events Fundraising Manager, you will oversee the stewardship of some of their most passionate supporters, working closely with dedicated volunteers, community groups, and overseeing key charity events. Your focus will be on harnessing the enthusiasm and commitment of fundraisers in the community, motivating and guiding them to maximize their contributions.

You will also actively support the planning and execution of our bespoke Walk to End Homelessness event, alongside leading on our annual Spring Concert and contributing to the growth of our third-party event series.

Responsibilities:

Community and Events Fundraising:

• Help deliver the teams' existing events and community fundraising products, growing net income and actively seeking new opportunities for expansion.
• Develop a range of new fundraising products and assets to support all aspects of the community fundraising programme in line with our values and key messages.
• Act as an ambassador for The Passage with community groups, personally delivering talks and presentations to build relationships and promote our work.
• Manage and oversee a programme of station and street collections, ensuring that volunteers are trained and equipped to represent The Passage with the public
• Manage current community and events fundraising relationships with individual supporters and groups by providing outstanding, tailored stewardship to generate income.
• Help deliver and develop a range of The Passage owned and third-party events and activities.
• Work with the digital marketing and comms team to produce engaging, accessible content and campaigns across web, social, email and paid digital activity to promote fundraising products and activity.
• Research and recommend new ways of raising funds and generating income through community fundraising.

Budgets and planning:

• Produce and manage the Community Fundraising income and expenditure annual plan and budget.
• Work with the Senior Events and Community Manager to regularly review performance, report variances against budget and undertake contingency planning to minimise risk.
• Monitor income and KPIs against agreed budgets and targets, taking action to address any shortfall.

People management:

• Provide all aspects of line management support, development and coaching to the Fundraising Assistant.
• Recruit, train, manage and inspire volunteers to deliver agreed aspects of the fundraising plan.

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser in community and events with strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to build relationships with a wide variety of individuals.

Excellent organisational skills are a must along with being ambitious, driven and passionate about representing The Passage and supporting their mission.

• Support the development and delivery of the fundraising plan, proactively researching and pursuing new income opportunities, with targets for fundraising applications to trusts & foundations and corporate foundations. (Account Management 60%, New Business 40%)

This role sits within the Digital Section in the Communications Directorate, reporting into the Digital Marketing & Fundraising Manager. You will work within an ambitious and passionate digital team and across the organisation to develop our holistic digital strategy through the oversight and management of digital channels, plans, and schedules, and by implementing the plans as well as empowering the teams to manage their own digital campaigns.

The post holder will also provide training to teams as part of our objective to upskill the organisation. The post holder will also be responsible for finding opportunities to generate leads and push new and innovative ideas.

As Global Director of Fundraising, you will lead the strategic planning and delivery for fundraising globally across all income streams, including principal and major gifts, supporter marketing, statutory funding, corporate, and trusts and foundations teams. This is a critical leadership position, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. 

You’ll be leading a talented team, encouraging, empowering and inspiring colleagues to experiment and innovate in ways which help us deliver our overall objectives. You’ll underpin this generative skillset with analytical rigour, expressed through detailed forecasting and activity planning.

The Fundraising Officer supports the generation of income, principally for Groundwork activities across the East of England. Working with business development colleagues and delivery staff  you will help to identify income sources, approach funders and partners, develop and write bids, and contribute towards the annual income of the Trust.

Salary range : £26,182 - £30,832 pro rata (depending on relevant experience)
Term: Min 22.5 hours – Max 25 hours per week, permanent
Location:  East of England, with opportunities for home working

In this role, you will monitor the external funding environment to identify suitable sources of charitable trust and foundation funding and tender opportunities for projects and programmes of activity. You will use your communication skills to write high quality, persuasive copy that brings the charities work to life for potential funders, such as charitable trusts, BIG lottery, local authorities and central government.  In return we offer a supportive working environment, lots of variety in your work and the opportunity to develop your skills and professional knowledge.

Ideally, you will have experience of successful grant funding from Trusts, foundations, lottery distributors or similar, together with demonstrable experience of undertaking high quality research. The ability to quickly develop a detailed understanding of wide ranging and complex topics is essential as is a genuine interest and enthusiasm towards fundraising work.

Introduction to the role

The Coalition recently registered as a charity (December 2023). With our new registered status we’re keen to build our fundraising capability by recruiting for our very first fundraising role!

To date our fundraising has been limited to trusts and grants as well as local authority funding. We’re now looking to expand on this to help us reach and support even more Disabled people and those living with long term health conditions in Surrey.

Purpose of the role

The role will develop our fundraising strategy for the charity and manage Surrey Coalition of Disabled People’s fundraising activity including community grants, individual, corporate and legacy fundraising.

Main responsibilities

The main responsibilities are listed below.

• Work with Senior Leadership Team to develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy

• Research and evaluate new grant funding opportunities, co-ordinate the submission of high quality bids, and manage reporting requirements.

• Develop and steward excellent relationships with donors, trusts, foundations and corporates to ensure a diverse range of income streams.

• Research and implement fundraising events

• Set up and deliver a legacy fundraising programme.

• Collaborate with the Finance Manager and CEO to ensure accurate budgeting and financial reporting of our grants

• Carry out further tasks requested and agreed with the CEO, appropriate to the role and grade of the job.

• Work with Senior Leadership to develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.

We are looking for someone with:

· Experience of all fundraising methods (E)

· Excellent organisation and planning skills (E)

· Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a range of formats and with a variety of audiences (E)

· Excellent strategic planning skills and able to balance competing priorities (E)

· Experience and knowledge of working with people who are Disabled or living with a long-term health condition and/or carers (D)

· Good level of computer literacy including all Microsoft packages with experience of using a range of databases (E)

· A good level of self-motivation and able to work on own initiative (E)

· Confident presentation skills (D)

· The ability to work safely from home and willingness to do so OR the ability to work from our office in Burpham (E)

· Live within Surrey or nearby (E)

· An understanding of GDPR and adult safeguarding principles (D)
