Summary

Working with a team of three LTT employees, as well as Trustees and supporters the key objectives of the Partnerships team is to:
- Support our ambitious vision: a quality, inclusive education for every child in Tanzania.
- Plan; manage; deliver; monitor and maintain oversight of LTT’s Trust and Foundation fundraising portfolio, activities and opportunities. Target is to raise in excess of £300,000 per annum from UK and International Trusts, Foundations, other Institutional Donors and individuals in 2025-6 and increase by £40,000 a year thereafter.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
This position will focus on sourcing and developing potential national and international funders who provide single and multi-year grants in excess of £10,000 including those who do not accept unsolicited grants.
Duties include:
- Develop and manage opportunity pipelines of prospective funders, planning introductions.
- Write compelling, concise, well-presented, tailored approaches and grant applications in Word and Canva.
- Liaise with the Operations team, to gather the relevant information for grant applications (e.g. data, case studies, imagery etc).
- Ensure systems are kept up to date with all details of grant application documents, progress and outcomes and any other interactions with funders.
- Work with partners in Tanzania to offer them support and guidance
- Draft programme reports for projects for which you have raised funds.
- Contribute with other team members to the organisational budgeting process, by producing a detailed breakdown of opportunities and likelihood of success.
- Contribute to production of key external documents which may impact Trust and Foundation fundraising e.g. Annual Report & Accounts, Impact Report.
- Attend team meetings at least twice a year
- Attend relevant third-party events/training as required.
- Attend and assist with some LTT fundraising events.
- Other related duties as required.
Key Requirements
- Knowledgeable and passionate about International Development/Education
- Understanding and respectful of cultural differences.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a grant fundraising role, with a successful track record of regularly securing 4 and 5 figure grants.
- Knowledge of funding databases and other sources of potential funders.
- Ability to absorb, collate and organise large amounts of information from different sources/channels.
- Ability to select and distil programme information to develop a core message for target funders, aligned to their specific interests.
- Persuasive writing skills – weaving powerful stories with clear evidence of programme impacts.
- Strong IT literacy and adept in making funding applications online.
- Experience of developing fundraising budgets.

upReach has grown quickly over the last 5 years, and our successful Income Generation brings with it a number of administrative elements, which are currently spread across numerous team members. We are investing in this new position in order to centralise those diverse admin responsibilities, with the Income and Finance Liaison Senior Officer taking full ownership of the associated processes and deliverables, and helping to establish "best practice" to support the Charity in our next growth phase.
The Income and Finance Liaison Senior Officer will contribute to the growth of upReach by working across the Income Generation and Finance teams contributing to a wide range of income and finance related activities. You will support the teams to meet income targets and deliver the 2024-27 strategic plan.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and External Engagement you will work closely with the Director of Finance, CEO, Finance and Programmes teams, and colleagues across the income generating and external engagement team; supporting them to meet financial targets, provide excellent stewardship and to implement key administrative and financial processes.
The core responsibilities include:
Income generation and External Engagement

Ownership of a range of administrative tasks, including stewarding of donors and partners and support of the Development Board.

Promptly addressing incoming queries from supporters and partners, including email, telephone and post; assist the team by managing;

Main tasks and responsibilities
Young people's services
Delivering a resettlement service to young people with multiple needs. This will include:
- Working to ensure young people receive a high-quality service from the point of registration to the move-on. Taking a hands-on approach to dealing with complex or difficult cases and ensuring the quality of support plans to create opportunities to promote independence.
- Managing a caseload of internally referred clients with additional needs as they transition out of homelessness, ensuring that the necessary support structures are in place to facilitate successful tenancy sustainment.
- Carrying out thorough needs assessments and putting in place support plans with young people accessing the resettlement programme.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on Accommodation, Welfare Benefits, Housing Benefit and Tenancy rights, Legal Services, and Employment, Education & Training. Monitoring and evaluating young people’s progress.
- Building and maintaining effective partnerships with accommodation providers and external stakeholders, in addition to cultivating and strengthening existing relationships.
- Referring young people to other internal New Horizon Youth Centre teams in order to support their progression, including Health and Jobs, Education and Training.
- Providing advocacy and referring young people to a wide range of specialist external services including around advocacy, substance misuse, mental health, immigration, counselling, financial/debt advice, and legal services.
- Attending regular briefings, team meetings, reflective practice and clinical supervision, both with NHYC and project partners. Ensuring that Health and Safety or safeguarding issues are addressed at all times.
Sharing best practice -
To proactively share best practice with internal and external stakeholders in order to maximise the impact of the work of NHYC. This will include:
- Identifying and acting to maximise NHYC’s profile by seeking out and responding to opportunities with specialists and agencies who might offer resources, funding, or individual services relevant to client needs.
- Promoting and representing NHYC at relevant forums, meetings and events.

Information management
To produce and maintain accurate and useful information in a range of formats in order to promote effective service delivery and evaluation. This will include:
- Recording all contacts with clients appropriately and maintaining all relevant files and recording systems.
- Producing written reports in a variety of formats to meet the requirements of NHYC, external service providers and funders, e.g., project reviews and assessment reports.
- Inputting and extracting information from client monitoring systems and other accounting and database systems. Utilising other relevant software for the production of reports.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a community organiser with a strong project management background, or a project manager who has trained as a community organiser to help us grow a new project, The Help Desk, while overseeing our Open Collective service. Open Collective is a platform which enables groups to transparently and collaboratively manage their funds. We fiscally host around 600 groups using OC – they are supported by a Programmes Assistant, who would be managed by this role. This will give you oversight of the service and provide you valuable insights into the needs of groups.
The Help Desk is a new project in SCN which will support our growing community of grassroots groups and movements within our ecosystem. Over the next 4 years, we are planning to build a strong, vibrant and supportive community amongst our groups, with access to resources, training and mentorship/networking and fundraising opportunities. You will be responsible for project managing the build-out of the Help Desk and developing and organising the SCN community. This includes monitoring progress and reporting against the funding secured. While some plans and activities have already begun, you would be expected to further shape the vision of the Help Desk, pivoting in response to feedback and learnings.
You will work closely across the Delivery Team to ensure that the Help Desk is relevant to the different types of groups we host, as well as the Head of Programmes, who you will support in consolidating insights for sharing with partners. Together with the Business Development team, you will also be responsible for exploring the income streams required for the following 5 years. You will also be managing the overall project budget alongside managing mentors, staff, volunteers, interns, and leaders, where appropriate.
ABOUT YOU
The role would suit someone that understands the needs of community groups and the pressure and challenges they face as they scale their impact, while also having agile and creative project management skills. A large part of the role is getting to know the groups and to support both the development of network weaving across the groups and building out the resources they need. Because of this, you will enjoy connecting with people from different backgrounds, and have good problem-solving skills.
As you will have oversight of our Open Collective service, you will need to have some understanding of how community groups could use tech platforms to support their infrastructure and how this can relate to their impact. You will also be managing one member of staff and while you will be given training and support, some management experience is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be open to learning and growing with us as we build our programmes and services. On top of seeking out partnerships and opportunities that will help SCN better support its community groups, you will be regularly holding spaces for groups to connect and feeding back any relevant insights to the team. You should have a good understanding of the power dynamics and community trauma that exists at this level of organising and be able to act as a bridge between SCN and the social impact of the groups.
As a small team working directly with the groups and to a project plan, you will be outgoing, proactive, very organised and good at managing various tasks at the same time. You will be keen to make an impact in a small team and be hungry for searching out opportunities to develop yourself, the Help Desk and the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As Programme and Community Development Lead, you will be responsible for supporting and building out the community of grassroots groups and movements across all of SCN. This may involve organising events, further developing our communications, seeking out and maintaining partnerships with relevant service providers. Note that this is a new and emerging role and you will also be expected to help input on its direction depending on the needs of the groups and the opportunities in the sector. The role will involve:
- Project Design, Planning & Reporting – 25%
- Be responsible for the build-out of the Help Desk (project plans, timelines, and budget etc.) and coordinate across SCN to ensure timely delivery
- Monitor the outreach and impact of the Help Desk

A key member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Finance contributes to shaping and implementing the Gallery’s strategic development.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate a proven ability in leadership and financial control within a complex organisation, managing people and limited resources effectively, delivering results, thinking strategically and inspiring and motivating others. They will need to demonstrate a high degree of energy and agility, with the ability to build highly effective, collaborative working relationships at all levels of the organisation. The new Director of Finance will demonstrate a high level of financial and business acumen and strategic insight and will possess strong analytical and project management skills.
With experience at Board level, they must be comfortable with presenting to Boards and with the ability to develop strategy and present business plans.
Previous experience of the gallery and museum sector would be desirable but is not essential, and applications are welcomed from candidates with commercial, charitable and private sector backgrounds. Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.
It is an exciting and important time to be joining us at Crisis. We work with thousands of people across England, Scotland, and Wales so they can leave homelessness behind for good. We have recently adapted the way our services work to maximise our impact in ending homelessness. We have increased our capacity to work with people one to one and strengthened our ability to support those people facing the most barriers to preventing or ending their homelessness.

You will be able to work from home one day per week in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working Policy. Who they’re looking for
Our client is seeking a treasurer to join them as a Trustee who is passionate about their vision, mission and values, to support the Board and team in achieving their charitable aims.
They are looking for an experienced treasurer to support the Board, CEO and Finance Director in the successful delivery of the charity’s financial responsibilities. This includes provision of advice, guidance, challenge and reassurance on all aspects of the charity’s financial activities, ensuring that their strategic plans are underpinned by robust and fit for purpose financial management. They are hoping to find someone who can also contribute to the overall strategic direction of the charity and who is also willing to be a voice and challenge on other issues/decisions taken by the charity whether about (e.g.) risk, scientific approach, grant giving, or fundraising etc. You should have a strong interest in the mission of our client and be willing to advocate on the charity’s behalf.
Previous experience of being a Trustee is not necessary as a full induction and ongoing support will be provided.

Board meetings and time commitment
The The Board ordinarily meets four times per year in March, May, August and November. Two of these meetings are held remotely via video call on a Saturday, and two are held in person in London across weekends. In addition, Trustees are encouraged to join a Committee relevant to their area of expertise which meets at least once per quarter via video call. An appropriate time commitment will be required over the course of the year for preparative work between meetings. Trustees are also invited to attend occasional charity events and join recruitment panels on an ad hoc basis.
Following a probationary period where Trustee-elects attend at least 2 board meetings, appointed Trustees serve a three-year term, with the option to renew for a further three years. Trusteeship is an unremunerated position, though reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be paid.
