To support us on our growth journey we now have an exciting opportunity to join us as our permanent Head of HR. Reporting into the Associate Director of Corporate Services and Grants, you will be the HR professional lead for the organisation.

Key deliverables:

• Act as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders, developing excellent working relationships with the Senior Leadership Team, providing sound senior level HR advice, using data and insights to inform decision-making and drive performance.
• Effective delivery of day-to-day HR management and oversight, including HR Policies, performance management, staff surveys, pay and benefits and employee engagement, whist inspiring any direct reports and external consultants to deliver exceptional performance.
• The continuous development and management of a Learning and Development programme which delivers on the needs of a high performing fundraising organisation.
• Embedding EDI into all aspects of the management and development of people, to ensure we are able to attract, engage and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce which reflects the diversity of the cancer community we support.

As a pivotal, newly created role for Buckinghamshire Mind the Head of Income Generation and Communications will be a member of the Senior Management Team, contributing to the strategic direction and operational management of the charity. A large part of this role will focus on maintaining relations with governments, private foundations, corporate partners. An exciting upcoming opportunity within this role will be securing a new eight figure business case from FCDO in 2025. Beyond this, diversifying the donor base is also critical, so experience in securing new donors from scratch, particularly trusts and foundations and corporates (at the seven-figure level) will be paramount, so bringing a creative take to this area of work will be important.

The Role:

We have a newly created opportunity for a Head of Income Generation to join ELF as a senior leader within our charity. The Person:

The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working in a fundraising position and driving an income-generation strategy. You will have demonstrable success in securing gifts from a range of donors and in building excellent relationships, with colleagues, donors and beneficiaries. You’ll come with substantial experience in applying for grants from a range of sources and in securing legacy pledges.

The ideal candidate will have a proven knowledge of fundraising principles and of the Fundraising Regulator and Charity Commission guidelines. You’ll be experienced in using fundraising databases and data segmentation to identify and develop prospect lists. Exceptional attention to detail and a good working knowledge of GDPR and data protection principles are required.

As our Head of Income Generation, you will be highly motivated with the ability to find pragmatic solutions, seek improvements and adapt to changing situations. You’ll share ELF’s passion in supporting cancer patients and their families.

Experience working in a medical charity would be desirable, but we will consider candidates from a variety of charitable backgrounds. Team leadership experience would be beneficial. A fundraising qualification would be useful, although not essential.

This role can is offered on either a full-time or part-time basis. We can be flexible with how the hours sit across the week to fit in with your schedule, however we do ask that the role holder works during core hours and has some flexibility to occasionally attend events and fundraisers outside of working hours. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of two days per week based in the Marsh Barton office.

Charity People is delighted to be partnering with My Life Films to recruit for a Head of Marketing and Communications to join their small team in a critical role.

An award winning charity, My Life Films uses film and TV to enrich and support the lives of people affected by dementia. Known for their life story film service and for My Life TV, a specialist on demand streaming service with curated content designed to improve wellbeing, the organisation's programming is designed to enable people living with dementia to feel stimulated and connected to the world, improving their mental health and supporting their essential care.

As Head of Marketing and Communications you will lead marketing activity across the organisation as a whole, with a particular focus on helping to significantly scale up awareness, reach and impact of My Life TV in professional care settings.

Head of Marketing and Communications
Contract: Two year fixed term contract
Hours: The role is offered on a full time (37.5 hours per week) or four day a week basis with flexible working patterns also considered
Salary: £40,000 to £42,000 per annum
Location: Hybrid - the role is home based with two days per week in the London office (currently in Richmond but will be moving to Central London in January 2025)

Specifically designed to support the cognitive needs of people living with dementia, My Life TV can be used by individuals and their families at home as well as in care homes. As Head of Marketing, you will lead on the implementation of marketing strategies that contribute to Care Home-facing activity as well as broader strategic plans. With ambitious growth targets, marketing activity will be focused around increasing channel subscribers and building long-term relationships with care homes.

Main responsibilities within the role will include:
· Creating a well-defined and focused marketing plan to enable the effective delivery of organisational vision and strategy for growth
· Effectively implementing all marketing activities, with a particular focus on executing B2B campaigns to encourage growth in care home subscriptions to My Life TV
· Ensuring brand proposition and positioning for My Life TV is clear, consistent and effective
· Oversight of all external communications for the charity, including Press & PR, content creation and management of our social media channels, email marketing, updating and managing our website and all marketing collateral as needed
· Participating in industry events and marketing activities including care home shows, learning events, or conferences
· Working with the Business Development Manager to implement a customer experience journey from lead generation through to the onboarding stage
· Working with the Head of Content to ensure customer service support builds excellent customer relationships, and there is a positive ongoing customer experience
· Working with the Fundraising Lead to ensure communications with funders, corporates and other charity partners is aligned with broader marketing activities
· Ensuring strong identity and brand alignment across the organisation
· Effective management of the marketing budget
· Effectively sourcing and managing freelancers, sub-contractors and other service providers as needed

This role will suit individuals with a blend of skills and experience including the ability to work both strategically and operationally within a small team with an entrepreneurial spirit. We'd love to hear from people with the following skills and experience:
· Multi-disciplinary marketing experience across a range of disciplines e.g. digital marketing, comms & PR, direct marketing etc. You don't have to be an expert in all - but understand how they work together to deliver a strategy
· Experience building a marketing strategy, and implementing the necessary systems and processes to enable its effective delivery
· A strong track record of delivering effective multi-channel campaigns, working to fixed timelines and budgets
· Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to write compelling copy for a range of different audiences - the care market, partner organisations in the dementia field, and the wider public
· Strong team player - able to work effectively within a small multi-disciplinary team
· Excellent IT skills, ideally including previous experience using sales CRM software 
· Strong people skills, with an ability to relate positively to, and engage with a wide range of people
· Experience working alongside business development teams to make sure the marketing and sales processes are aligned
· Ideally you would have experience working in a B2B context, a start-up environment or in a similar context to the care sector

The role

In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of Trust and Foundation fundraising. Your responsibilities will include building long-term partnerships with grant making trusts and foundations, ensuring support through in-depth research, excellent stewardship, and timely and accurate reporting. You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships and collaboratively with the Philanthropy and Partnerships Team, as well as colleagues across the organisation to find creative and compelling projects to be funded.

About you

As an effective communicator you will have excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to create high quality proposals and informative reports. You will have excellent relationship management skills with the confidence to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Your role involves managing the trusts and foundations pipeline and you will need to be able to take initiative, research, prioritise and organise your own work to achieve deadlines across multiple tasks.

You will have:

- Experience in new identifying, researching, and reaching new prospects.
- Experience in writing bespoke proposals.
- Strong administrative, planning & prioritisation abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft office applications

Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our Fundraising and Lottery team. As the Lottery and Promotions Lead, you will be responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing innovative Lottery and Promotions campaigns that drive engagement and sales across Lincolnshire. Your primary focus will be on increasing our income generation from Lottery and Promotions activities, adapting to the challenging economic climate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion and promote Lottery and Promotions products within the organisation and throughout our Lincolnshire community and beyond to support the Charity’s Trust-wide Organisational and Income Generation Strategies for 2024-2029 in order to drive growth.
• Identify and seize business development opportunities to promote the Hospice Lottery across Lincolnshire.
• Increase sales of Lottery and Promotions products, including lottery memberships and raffles.
• Understand supporter motivations and tailor Lottery and Promotions activities to meet their needs.
• Manage an income target of circa £700, 000 across Lottery and Promotions products.
• You will be the primary contact for Lottery and Promotions advice, guidance, and support to ensure that activity is delivered to the highest standard, and levels of confidentiality and is compliant with Gambling and Charity legislation, including the Gambling Act 2005, GDPR, Fundraising Code of Practice and Gambling Commission

Qualifications and Experience:
