ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading our dedicated team to deliver high-quality, person-centered support for service users. You will oversee accommodation projects that provide safe and stable housing for individuals experiencing homelessness and ensure that tailored support is available for those with complex needs.

You will also manage our Peer Mentoring Outreach Service, which empowers individuals with lived experience to mentor and support those at risk. Through innovative and inclusive approaches, you will help foster resilience, self-confidence, and long-term positive outcomes for service users.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm with flexibility. Participation in the On-Call out of hours rota is also required.

ABOUT YOU

To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced and compassionate leader with a track record of managing services for vulnerable groups. You will be confident in developing and implementing strategies, leading teams, and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

• Experience in managing services within the housing, homelessness, or social care sectors.
• Strong knowledge of complex needs such as mental health, substance misuse, and involvement in the criminal justice system.
• The ability to inspire and lead teams, fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment.
• Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.
• A commitment to person-centered care and an understanding of trauma-informed approaches
• IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leadership & Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of staff and volunteers to provide high-quality services.
• Service Delivery: Oversee the provision of accommodation and outreach services, ensuring they meet the needs of individuals affected by homelessness, complex needs, and the criminal justice system.
• Partnership Working: Work collaboratively with statutory agencies, charities, and community organizations to coordinate support and build effective referral pathways.
• Budget & Compliance: Manage budgets, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and meet contractual obligations.
• Strategic Development: Drive continuous service improvement, implementing new initiatives to enhance outcomes and address the evolving needs of service users.
• Peer Mentoring Program: Oversee the peer mentoring program, providing guidance and support to mentors who use their lived experience to help others.

About the organisation

The Femicide Census the most compressive single source of UK information about women who have been killed and the men who have killed them.  Launched in 2015, the Femicide Census became a separate legal entity in 2019 and a registered charity in 2024. Since its launch, the Femicide Census has become established as a leading articulation of men’s fatal violence against women in the UK.

Currently, the Femicide Census does not enter into direct employment but has a secondment agreement with nia, who act as employer.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager wanting to further utilise their skills in coaching and mentoring the staff team, and embedding high standards in the running of the service. You will be managing our Autism Outreach Service that provides support to people in seven London Boroughs, and who live at home with family or in supported living services. Therefore, the ability to promote positive working relationships with family and stakeholders is essential to this role. You will be responsible for managing and motivating your staff team to provide creative and flexible services that makes a positive difference to the lives of those we support, and enables them to thrive and enjoy a good quality of life as active and valued members of their community.

Outward’s autism outreach service has a strong reputation across North East London, where we support people to live the lives they choose to lead and to improve their quality of life. You will be supported by two deputy managers to lead a large team of community outreach support workers, to ensure a high standard of quality support to the people we support.

About the role

• You will assess new referrals, develop, and manage comprehensive support & risk management plans.
• You will be required to build and maintain strong relationships and partnership approach with families and professionals/stakeholders.

About You

• You will have significant management experience of working in a similar setting.

We need a strategic expert who understands politics, campaigning and how to get the best out of campaigning organisations. The Campaigns Director must maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organisation's financial position, proactively managing budgets and implementing necessary adjustments to ensure organisational health and sustainability.

The Campaigns Director leads the Campaigns department, crafting our plans and supporting the team to execute powerful, people-powered campaigns that shape the country to be fair, respectful and sustainable. They oversee campaign strategy development, as well as teams that execute our plans, run our social media campaigns, and our public/media affairs work, all while ensuring alignment with organisational goals and political positioning.

The Campaigns Director must maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organisation's financial position, proactively managing budgets and implementing necessary adjustments to ensure organisational health and sustainability. They play a critical role in steering the organisation's narrative, tracking campaign progress, and working collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to align campaign objectives and work in progress with other organisational insights and initiatives.

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick babies and children. Our work is now needed more than ever. To help achieve this, we are seeking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join the Finance Team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to work with our Finance Manager to provide support to the financial management of the charity. You will be responsible for the accurate input and processing of financial ledger transactions onto the accounting system, ensuring that all deadlines are met and with a high level of attention to detail. You will work closely with other departments in the charity and will provide first class support. Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, a positive attitude, great IT skills and strong customer service skills. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleep and move away from a street lifestyle permanently.

We are looking for a dynamic, self-driven person with relevant language skills to support the Roma Rough Sleeper Team as an Outreach Worker (known internally as Roma Mediator), working across central London boroughs. In this vital role you will:

• Undertake Street outreach shifts where you will be involved in making contact with people who are sleeping rough, assessing their needs and delivering personalised case management; to support individuals to make the move away from the streets.
• Support teams of Street Outreach Workers to deliver accessible services and ensure that contact is made and sustained with Roma people sleeping rough.
• Ensure the assessments made and the support offered are appropriate and relevant for the client group and that Roma people are supported to engage with the available services.
• Work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies and advocate, where appropriate, on behalf of Roma people with external agencies regarding their welfare rights and other support needs.
