The role

We are looking for a Trusts and Grants Officer to play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing success and expansion of our partnerships with trusts, foundations and statutory givers. Working closely with the Trusts and Grants Manager and four more team members, this new role will lead on nurturing low and mid-value relationships with prospective funders who have capacity to give ongoing funding to FareShare.

The Trusts and Grants and Officer will take on the management and stewardship of a diverse portfolio of four and five-figure funding relationships, while developing new partnerships with a range of givers and leading on prospecting for certain areas of our funder portfolio.

Main areas of responsibility

Build relationships with a portfolio of four and five-figure trust supporters, understanding their motivations and tailoring opportunities and communications to cultivate strong, long-lasting partnerships.

Foster a deep understanding of FareShare’s work and strategy to create persuasive fundraising proposals that inspire and solicit funds. This includes working closely with colleagues in the wider Fundraising team to build a sound understanding of FareShare operations and where support is most needed.

Supporting with the team’s prospecting process, using your own research and sector knowledge to identify new opportunities from identification through to solicitation.

Lead the Trusts & Grants and wider Fundraising team on specific projects within FareShare’s work, collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to gather information to inform fundraising activities.

Develop personalised stewardship plans to deepen funder relationships. Craft compelling written communications including emails, proposals, and reports to showcase the impact of trust support and celebrate key milestones. Support on and lead calls, meetings and visits to strengthen funder partnerships and engagement with our work.

Support the Trusts & Grants Manager and wider team as needed, especially in instances where a complex funding application requires more than one team member to complete.

Maintain accurate records of partner interactions in our CRM system and shared files, and consistently update financial records and account plans.

Skills & Experience

• Charity sector, and ideally trust fundraising experience, with demonstrable success of managing relationships with trusts and foundations to secure multiple five figure grants.
• Experience of researching, identifying and engaging new prospects, and securing new funding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good persuasive writing and proof-reading ability.
• Experience of creative proposal writing, and the ability to demonstrate clear outcomes and impact.
• Experience of preparing and presenting budgets and ability to interpret charitable financial accounts.

• Proven ability to form good working relations, both internally and externally with people at all levels, and from all walks of life, backgrounds and cultures.
• Ability to multi-task and work on own initiative to meet objectives and tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a busy team.
• Excellent IT skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office programmes.

• Experience of using Salesforce or an equivalent Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for Fundraising.

Girlguiding has a range of digital systems and online customer portals used by members, volunteers and staff.  We’re looking for a Junior QA tester who has good communication and problem solving skills to help test development projects.  You will use online testing tools to work with our QA tester and development team, as well as other internal and external stakeholders to perform thorough testing to ensure the quality of our products for users.

The Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust was established in 1982 to support UK registered animal welfare charities involved with the rescue, rehabilitation, release and rehoming of domestic and wild animals; the conservation of wildlife and its habitat and the promotion of the understanding of animals and their welfare. By giving to smaller organisations, relatively modest grants can have a significant impact on animals and those who care for them.

As Administrative Assistant you will work alongside the Administrator to ensure this impact is sustained by monitoring and evaluating applications from submission through to awarding and beyond. You will liaise with applicants, guiding them through the process, while also keeping in contact with our Board of Trustees. Meetings are held six times a year to agree awards and you will produce reports and summaries to aid Trustee’s decisions.

Purpose of Role

The Membership Marketing Officer plays a critical role in supporting the Membership and Supporter Experience Team by providing administrative support as well as a bit of creative marketing flair. • Support our key marketing projects including gift membership, private site, telemarketing, our annual member survey and renewal journey.
• Support the distribution and creation of promotional resources, regularly checking stock levels, and re-ordering or refreshing materials as needed, liaising with external suppliers such as print or mailing houses and delivering to budgets and deadline.
• Support the creation of e-communications, including emails to prospective members. This may include proofing content, sourcing images, checking data, building emails and reviewing content requests with support from the team.
• Provide regular impact communications and surprise and delight moments to our suppliers and fundraisers acting on our behalf
• Source inspirational stories from our walking groups and volunteers, to help support growth of our membership community. 
• Check data from our Data Team and from our suppliers to ensure it is accurate and in the right format. Provide data as needed to suppliers.
• Co-ordinate across teams to ensure data is provided in a timely fashion
• Check data is lasered correctly on printed materials, raising any concerns appropriately with suppliers
• Coordinate call listening for our core calling programmes, liaising with our volunteers and providing summary of feedback to our suppliers.
• Handle inbound enquiries coming into the team, take simple actions from these enquiries, or escalate as appropriate
• Save relevant reports, track performance and report to the Head of Membership and Supporter Experience anything notable
• Send relevant reports and feedback to suppliers

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising team. Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Finance and Resources Manager (Full Time)

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.  

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

This is an exciting time to join the UNLT team as we expand our community programmes and strengthen our impact. UNLT is seeking a Community Programme Manager to manage our education, wellbeing and arts activities for children and adults. Our programmes run on site, in the community and across London. The role sits at the very centre of our work. Working closely with the Hub Director, you will make UNLT’s activity programme a reality. The role also offers the opportunity for some hands-on delivery.

Key Details

Job Title: Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.
