In a financially challenged sector, the Senior Finance Business Partner is a critical colleague working closely with Head of financial planning and analysis, supporting the creation of the financial aspects of both the short- and long-term Thera Business Plans and budgets.

What experience do I need?
- You will have Proven experience at a senior level in engagement and influence to improve financial performance within a complex environment
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with significant post qualification experience at a senior level
- Strong knowledge and experience of appropriate operational practices including contract costings
- Highly proficient in using EXCEL to present data and model scenarios and sensitivity analysis including what if functionality

As Complex Needs Practitioner you will engage young people in a variety of interventions, using a person-centred approach, empowering them to reduce risk, increase resilience and achieve positive outcomes.
Birmingham Young People’s Service provides holistic support services for young people 10 to 25 with needs related to alcohol and substance misuse, including those that are affected by a family members alcohol and substance misuse.
All Complex Needs Practitioners are expected to work days, evenings, and weekends across the community and within our multi-agency partnership settings, when required, which will need a flexible working pattern from the successful candidate. The caseload will include a mixture of community and multi-agency referral pathways including health, social care, education, youth provision, and criminal justice.
As an energetic and confident self-starter, you will have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above, Dip SW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we will consider candidates with experience of working in the health & social care field, education settings, alcohol, and substance misuse fields with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care.

This innovative project is led by young people who are affected by drug or alcohol use, they learn how to grow their own food, cook healthy meals, make new friends and have the chance to work towards qualifications. Your challenge? To provide brief and long-term interventions which will incorporate outdoor spaces and activities that promote healthy lifestyles and reduce substance misuse. You will also develop care plans, provide case management, ensure integrated pathways and support the development of family intervention within the wider team. You will also allocate and oversee the work of peer mentors and volunteers as required.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community care (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. FareShare Midlands is the region’s largest food redistribution charity. We take good-to-eat surplus food from the food industry and get it to our Members - frontline charities and community groups all over the Midlands. We turn an environmental problem into a social solution.
Last year we redistributed almost 5,794 tonnes of food from our warehouses in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham. It is sorted and stored by our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers, and then redistributed to around 800 Members including food pantries and cafes, homeless shelters and drop-in centres.
These local organisations turn the food into food parcels, affordable shopping and delicious meals for people of all ages. As well as food, our Members provide vital support to families and the elderly, many of whom are facing challenging circumstances and living in poverty.
Last year our food reached more than 83,000 vulnerable people every week, providing 13 million meals. At the same time, we are growing our Employability Programmes to help people gain work experience, skills and jobs.
The Role
To undertake all aspects of warehouse duties, ensuring effective, safe and efficient distribution of food each day. You will have responsibility for coordination of our food stock, from goods-in to picking, dispatch and stock rotation and will be expected to drive vans, and Fork Lift Trucks (training provided). Working closely with the wider team and volunteers, you will also support the monitoring and utilisation of warehouse space, stock, deliveries and collections to ensure food reaches its destination amongst our members safely, on time and in full.
Key duties and responsibilities:
1. Operations
· Undertake all warehouse duties, ensuring effective, safe and efficient co-ordination and distribution and of food
· To work to performance indicators so that stock is accurate and delivery routes are efficient to allow the organisation to grow
· To ensure that all work areas – both inside and outside the warehouse - are clean, organised and safe to work in
· Follow all H&S and Food Safety standards set out in the FareShare policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all our colleagues & visitors, and the safe receipt of food by all our members.
· Undertake van/Fork Lift Truck driving duties to ensure effective, efficient timely and safe delivery & collection of food, in line with compliance standards
· Ensuring great customer service in delivery
· Loading and unloading, sorting for, and following deliveries, ensuring safe lifting, and carrying

2. Volunteer Communication & Co-ordination
· Work closely with the volunteer teams a diverse group ranging from regular and long-term, volunteers, placements (e.g. Job Centre) to business people having just a 1-day volunteering experience – to ensure that all shift duties are covered and teams work effectively
· Provide leadership and guidance to volunteers, ensuring they follow all policies and procedures, high standards of accuracy are maintained and their volunteer experience with FSM is a satisfying one.

Roles & Responsibilities
· Manage the purchase ledger function efficiently and accurately
· Processing of invoices and expenses into the accounting system Xero
· Matching of purchase orders with invoices and requesting of approvals
· Managing payment processes for all suppliers and expenses with supporting documentation
· Maintaining the purchase order log, raising of purchase orders from approval requests
· Communicating with suppliers regarding of invoice queries
· Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
· Liaising with the Trustees regarding the payments, and agreeing a quarterly payment rota
· Monitoring the monthly progress for all Grants, including reconciliations and preparation of the monthly payments
· Assisting the Head of Finance with the preparation of the monthly management accounts, to include balance sheet reconciliations and journals and other related ad hoc tasks
We are a virtual organisation, and all work from our respective homes, however we meet up weekly on Teams, and meet up at least twice a year (in person) for our team events.
What skills we are looking for in a candidate:
· AAT qualified
· Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or similar role
· High attention to detail and ability to work within strict deadlines
· High degree of accuracy and strong numeracy skills
· Excellent time management skills and self-motivated
· Demonstrate ability to manage several tasks at once
· Proactive communication and team-working skills
· Experience of using finance systems on a day to day basis (Xero or similar)
· Experience with all Microsoft applications and databases
