Registered Care Manager

The build for this brand-new extra care scheme Harbour Place in Workington is well underway and we are now recruiting for a Registered Manager. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the new services is mobilised successfully.

Position: Registered Manager

Location: Workington, Cumbria

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, with flexibility to work weekends as required

Salary: £41,860.22 per annum (£43,235.42 is achieved after 18 months successful performance in the role)

Contract: Permanent

The service will be at the heart of the local community and the registered care manager will lead on building and maintaining excellent relationships with stakeholders in the local community – maximising networks and sourcing opportunities to add social value to the service.

The role

As a Registered Care Manager you will oversee the operational management and leadership of the Extra Care Service and some hybrid support to a nearby services. You will ensure the performance, quality assurance and continuous improvement of services, working towards the aims of revitalising neighbourhoods and transforming lives, by promoting the health, independence and wellbeing of people who use services. 

You will oversee the delivery of a safe, caring, compassionate and outstanding service that meets CQC regulatory requirements.

About you:

You will hold a registration with the CQC and have experience of managing CQC regulated services.  Experience of housing is desirable but not essential.  As a leader, you will be passionate, innovative, professional and a real team player.

We are looking for someone with:

• Experience of managing a service for the required customers group (older people, mental health, learning difficulties)
• Experience of communicating objectives and managing performance targets
• Ability to identify, plan and priorities tasks effectively
• A team player with a caring, empathic, supportive and flexible with a resilient can-do attitude
• Competent IT skills, including using databases, producing reports and other communications, and analysing key outcomes data to understand and drive service improvement

Summary of main responsibilities and accountabilities

Partnership Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development

· Working alongside the Tees & Tyne Regional Manager to respond to the needs of the programme, ensuring that our young people have meaningful encounters with a range of employers from a diversity of industries and sectors.

· Day-to-day operational account management for employer supporters, ensuring they have excellent experiences.

· Full partnership and operational account management for lower-level funders in your region.

· Promote the contribution of Career Ready and awareness of Career Ready to potential supporters and assist in engaging their commitment to give both practical and financial support.

· Engaging new corporate, third and public sector organisations to directly support the programme delivery, working with the Head of Programmes to launch and grow the Tees & Tyne Regional Action Board 

· Work with the Programmes and Partnership and Incomes teams to develop and deliver the overall employer engagement strategy for the area ensuring that the number of mentors is matched with the paid internship commitment and that employer volunteers are in place for masterclass delivery and workplace visits.

· Working with the Partnership Manager leading the relationship with BP to help generate leads with local businesses that are connected to BP’s activity in the region.

Purpose of the job 

This role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the UK Youth Fundraising team. UK Youth already works with a broad range of exciting corporate partners, including Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, KFC, Burger King and RSA Insurance. What the job involves

We're looking for a Proposition Development Manager to join a newly created team within our Fundraising directorate. The team have been created to work alongside the high value teams (Philanthropy and Partnerships) to provide them with the highest quality donor research, funding propositions and stewardship materials required to create transformative partnerships with businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations. 

As the Proposition Development Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in this team, supporting our ambitious high value fundraising strategy and the development of Prostate Cancer UK’s first Major Appeal. You'll take the lead in developing the Appeal case for support, and crafting funding propositions. Collaborating closely with our high-value fundraisers, you'll develop bespoke funding propositions ranging from six to seven figures, ensuring they resonate with potential donors. 

Your expertise will be central in guiding our high-value teams on creating impactful funding proposals, supported by consistent access to organisational priorities and plans. You'll also establish an 'Information Bank' of materials to support fundraising efforts. Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, you'll maintain the integrity of our data records in alignment with GDPR and organisational policies.

What we want from you

We’re looking for a fundraiser who understands high value fundraising. You’ll have experience in building compelling cases for support, bids and partnership concepts with major donors, companies, and potentially grant funders. Working in collaboration with our high value fundraisers, Research and Support and Influencing teams to create engaging and bespoke propositions. 

You’ll be an excellent communicator, often translating complex and technical information to a range of audiences and stakeholders in multiple formats (e.g. proposals, presentations or web copy). Your exceptional relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills will enable you to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

About the Role

As Deputy Service Manager, you will manage a team delivering an assessment, support and move on service to care leavers in supported accommodation and outreach services.

Working under the direction, guidance and support of the Pathway Manager you will facilitate services to ensure a seamless and cohesive accommodation-based support package for young care leavers who may be at risk of homelessness across Cheshire West and Chester, or who need support in their own homes through the outreach services.

The Deputy Manager role supports the Pathway Manager to ensure the service delivers excellent and continuously improving service performance as well as ensuring the effective and safe management of the services on a day-to-day basis. You will deputise in the absence of the Pathway Manager in the delivery of the service. The role will have responsibility under Depaul’s commitment to successfully deliver the contracted outcomes. You will manage the service delivery across Cheshire West and Cheshire and the line management of the staff teams.

Key responsibilities include:

· Deputies for the Pathway Manager during periods of his or her absence, in the service delivery including external meetings such as monitoring and contract review meetings with the commissioners.

· Manage the service delivery at the accommodation services and outreach, line managing the staff teams.

· Providing relevant reporting internally and externally, including ensuring all health and safety requirements are completed promptly to comply with Housing Associations and legal obligations of the landlord.

· You will ensure the highest standards of support to young people is provided and that housing management is effective, and you will work to KPI targets in these areas.

· You will be committed to working in and maintaining an environment that supports the safeguarding of young people.

A fast-expanding IAPT compliant Service requires a service administrator to support a team of volunteer counsellors.  Mind in Enfield and Barnet is a local, independent mental health charity, working in partnership with other statutory and voluntary organizations to provide a range of services to the local community. About The Role
We’re looking for a Supply Chain and Administration Planner to join our team at the Royal British Legion, helping keep things running smoothly in our warehouse. In this role, you’ll be managing stock levels, processing purchase orders, and making sure goods are moving in and out of the warehouse efficiently. You’ll also work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to support daily tasks and help plan in-house stock production.

You’ll also be the go-to person for our Delta Warehouse Management System, helping users with any issues and making sure everyone has the right access. Accuracy is key, especially when it comes to keeping stock records and making sure deliveries are logged properly.

Magic Breakfast is a registered charity providing healthy breakfasts to children and young people in the UK who arrive at school too hungry to learn, and expert support to their schools. Over 200,000 children and young people are on roll at Primary, Secondary, ASL / Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units that the charity works with, in disadvantaged areas of Scotland and England. JOB PURPOSE 

Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good. The Service Delivery team is responsible for ensuring the delivery of our breakfast provision. As Engagement Partner, you will work with relevant partners (schools, local authorities, parents, parent councils) to ensure that breakfast provision is optimized, encouraging reach and providing education on relevant topics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Pipeline development and cultivation:   

• To develop a relationship with the supported schools in their respective area, to enable, preserve, embed, enhance and extend stigma and barrier free breakfast pron.

• To educating and engage with the wider school community, including teachers, parents and children and young people on the importance of breakfast and implications of hunger as a barrier learning through various means including assemblies, staff meetings, online events and regional events throughout the academic year.

• To engage with the wider community to advocate for the importance of breakfast, the work that we are doing in existing schools and to support our campaigning and advocacy strategy and plans.

• To develop brand awareness in schools and local communities in line with our marketing strategy

• To support the recruitment of new schools with launching new breakfast provisions, adapting to the requirements of the school and children and young people, and advising on best practise

• To support any media requests as directed through the Policy & Engagement team

• To capture and report on “storytelling” to enable the organisation to utilise qualitative data to support external communication

• To explore, share and deliver on new engagement ideas across the department and organisation

As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.

Your primary focus will be on recruiting new donors, retention through a gold standard supporter journey and income growth for these vital areas of fundraising, all while leading a dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and creative appeals as well as supporting the fundraisers responsible for in-memory and donor acquisition to achieve their targets and objectives.

Individual Giving is a growing income stream for Birmingham Hospice, and this have been recognised by the Executive Team who are investing in this area, in particular regular giving and legacies.
