As Exams Assistant you will support the day to day running of the examinations with a particular focus on question bank management. You will be working with the Examinations Team and examiners across all specialties. This will include supporting examiner panels to organise and run question writing sessions and ensuring that question banks remain up to date.

You will also have a number of other examination-related duties, including – but not limited to – processing applications, invigilating at examination and collating examination results.

The College offers Fellowship examinations in 17 different pathological specialties, supported by the Examinations Team and a panel of volunteer examiners from the College’s Fellows for each specialty. The examinations are run both online and in person. 

The Royal College of Pathologists is a professional membership organisation dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of pathology. There are currently approximately 12,000 members, all of whom are pathologists based in hospitals, universities and laboratories in the UK and overseas. The College’s main tasks are to set and maintain training standards for doctors and scientists, to advice on the appointment of consultant pathologists, to ensure the membership is kept up to date with current practice through the continuing professional development scheme, and to promote the latest developments in pathology by holding scientific meetings.

The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain (Youth and Children’s Bands) is the UK’s leading brass band for children and teenagers.

The Band exists to give exceptionally gifted young brass and percussion instrumentalists the opportunity to perform advanced music and receive the highest quality teaching, care and help to provide the brass band movement and the music profession with the next generation of brass players. Magic Breakfast is a registered charity that exists to make sure no child or young person is too hungry to learn. We provide nutritious breakfasts and expert support to primary, secondary, ASN/SEND schools and pupil referral units in disadvantaged areas of England and Scotland. JOB PURPOSE 

Magic Breakfast’s mission is to end child morning hunger in the UK now and for good the Philanthropy team’s role is to develop and deliver the charity's high net worth individual giving programme in line with Magic Breakfast’s strategic priorities to enable our organisational growth against our mission. 

We are seeking to grow income through further cultivation and stewardship of our potential and existing donors. Our High Value Giving teams are forecast to collectively raise £5.1m in 2021/22, up from £4.6m two years ago in 2019/20. The team includes partnerships with charitable trusts and foundations, corporate organisations, and high-net-worth individuals. 

Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy, this role will have a particular focus on ensuring that Magic Breakfast is offering the highest quality of donor care from start to finish, and building and developing our prospect pipeline.

We’re looking for a proactive person with excellent relationship building, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship skills as we seek to build our prospect pool, enhance or supporter journey and achieve our ambitious fundraising targets.

The Philanthropy Manager will have the opportunity to be innovative and creative, to create and test impactful donor journeys and engagement opportunities so Magic Breakfast’s supporters feel valued and can understand the transformational difference they are making to hungry children and their learning in the UK. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

Income generation and donor stewardship and prospect development 

• Manage your own portfolio of donors, providing excellent stewardship and strategies to uplift and secure multi year donations 

• Work with Corporate, Trusts and Individual Giving teams to identify potential major donors and high value regular givers within Magic Breakfast’s donor portfolio and implement plans to develop these relationships; 

• Work with the Head of Philanthropy and Prospect Researcher to build a Philanthropy prospect pipeline 

• Write accurate, inspiring and compelling fundraising propositions and reports for potential and existing major donors 

• Review and make recommendations for improvement of our existing donor journey, building a calendar of engaging content and touchpoints throughout the year. 

• Lead on devising, developing and organising bespoke events for donors and prospects 

• Complete timely event reviews to improve and inform future decision making and planning.

• Work in partnership with the wider fundraising teams to provide excellent supporter care to all event attendees and stakeholders. 

• Support the Head of Philanthropy to build relationships with senior volunteers to garner their support with hosting and supporting events to connect us to, and unlock, their networks. 

• Use our CRM database (Salesforce) to log KPIs, project and reconcile finances and manage supporter relationships 

• Use KPIs to adapt strategies and drive activity 

• Be responsible for ensuring an up-to-date bank of engaging content and materials for existing partners, including but not limited to, commissioning video content, compiling reports and building case studies. 

• Scan the external environment for trends, insights, ideas and best practice that could benefit the High Value Giving teams and Magic Breakfast’s work, making recommendations for improvements and leading on opportunities as they arise.

Internal 

• Work with wider Fundraising team to help create and deliver cross departmental  events, and identify referral opportunities (to Trusts and Corporates) 

• Develop strong relationships with Service Delivery and Policy and Engagement colleagues, involving them in meetings with donors where appropriate to strengthen those relationships and engage them further 

• Work with Service Delivery to identify, plan and co-ordinate school visits for donors and prospects 

Financial processes, reporting and due diligence: 

• Ensure all donations are thanked and recorded in a timely way, and logged accurately on salesforce 

• Support Head of Philanthropy in accurately forecasting philanthropy income for each financial year, and ensure forecast income is updated monthly. 

• Contribute 

•  to the philanthropy budget and goal with wider awareness of org and F&D goals 

• Work with Prospect Researcher to ensure all due diligence checks on donors are completed, and that they meet our criteria in our ethical fundraising policy, flagging any risks upwards for resolution. 

General 

• Contribute to team meetings, sharing best practice and supporting team members where necessary

Stakeholder relationship management

Job Summary 

The Safeguarding Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support for meetings and safeguarding activities to aid the smooth running of the safeguarding team. This role ensure that the safeguarding team provides a professional and friendly service to parishes within the Diocese of London, and to the London Diocesan Fund.

Job responsibilities 

Administrative support for meetings 

• Provide administrative support for the Safeguarding Leadership Team. 
• Produce high quality accurate minutes of team meetings and ensure they run smoothly. 

Administrative support for safeguarding activity 

• Work with the Safer Churches Programme Manager to provide day to day administrative support, working closely to ensure functions run smoothly.
• Work within national and diocesan safer churches policy and procedures as defined in the safer churches programme of work.
• Support the Safeguarding Advisors with safeguarding agreements and risk assessments as required.

Working in the Engagement department and reporting to the Adults and Communities Participation Manager, the Communities Participation Producer will create a year-round public programme of activities inspired by the collections, themes and sites of Royal Museums Greenwich. Key responsibilities include producing and delivering programmes in collaboration with community partners and stakeholders to create relevant, inclusive and inspiring activity across the Museum’s multiple sites. The role will focus on creating activity that welcomes underrepresented audiences to Royal Museums Greenwich sites, developing trusted relationships in the process and responding to the social purpose of the organisation.

The role will develop programmes that connect communities and collections around the legacies of empire, queer histories and stories of migration. This will involve working across generations to  facilitate dialogue around under-represented histories and current issues in a variety of formats including large scale public festivals, talks, workshops and more. The role will have a focus on developing participation opportunities for African and Caribbean and East and South-East Asian diaspora, as well as LGBTQ+ communities, to develop stronger connections with the collection and bring new perspectives to maritime history. Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. Job Purpose 
Growing Hope is a national charity with a growing number of clinics across the UK. This operations role will provide support across the Growing Hope national staff team. This will include support with administration, finance, fundraising and training. This role is key in enabling all the functions of the national charity to run smoothly and effectively. • Oversight of the recruitment checking process for new volunteers, trustees, freelancers and employees. This includes carrying out DBS checks, calling referees, chasing for references and communicating with individuals as they start with Growing Hope.
• Management of the ‘internal news’ list in order to track individuals working closely with the charity.
