We are looking for a socially equitable Investment Director to join one of the UK's leading Social Impact Investors.

The Investment Director will lead the Growth Impact Fund which has been designed to address structural barriers facing entrepreneurs from underrepresented back grounds. You will be working closely with Joint Venture Partner – UnLtd. in managing the existing portfolio of diverse social enterprise clients on behalf of the fund.

You will have an understanding of investment from origin, investment and portfolio management to potential exits and a considerable understanding of the financial needs of social enterprises.

You have strong end to end investment tracking skills, the ability to build trust and credibility with stakeholders alongside the ability to negotiate and utilise sales skills when building new business.

One of the biggest names in the UK Charity sector is currently seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their high-performing team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of FP&A, you will be responsible for running the business partnering function for one of the charity’s most high-profile directorates. Leading a small team, you will drive the delivery of targets and high-quality financial information to facilitate sound decision making.

The key duties of this Senior Finance Business Partner are as follows:

• Take the lead in the annual budget setting process for the areas under your remit, working with key stakeholders to understand their visions for the following year.
• Act as the finance subject matter expert for your entities, providing sound analysis and advice to guide decision making.
• Full responsibility for reviewing and consolidating the monthly management accounts for each area under your remit
• Conduct high-level financial analysis and be the critical friend to ensure absolute budget efficiency.
• Lead the team in the production of the directorate’s consolidated monthly and quarterly management information packs.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the team, reviewing their work and providing opportunities for training and development to help them advance their careers.

This is an exceptional chance for an experienced business partnering professional who is excited at the prospect of working at the heart of a charity with a brilliant cause, whilst looking for opportunities to maximise existing processes to ensure the smooth delivery of a business-critical service. Please note that this role will officially be based out of the charity’s head office in Central London, but opportunities to work from home are on offer for three days per week.

The successful candidate will have:

• Demonstrable experience in an FP&A or FBP focused role at a similar level.
• A fully accountancy qualification (CCAB or equivalent).
• Fantastic communication skills and the ability to build credibility with senior level stakeholders.
• A love for challenging the status quo and manipulating data to understand trends and underlying themes.
• A hunger to learn and a proactive mindset.

Advocating for adults and parents with a learning disability and/or mental health struggles, you will support parents through the complexity of parenting, supporting them with all matters relating to their children.

Supporting parents going through child protection, care proceedings and in court hearings, you will help them understand the process and advocate on their behalf.

Ensuring the view and voice of parents are heard, you will ensure the processes are fair and that no stone is left unturned, ensuring every effort is put in place to offer parents every change of success.

The role is permanent contracted 20 hours per week however the likelihood of overtime is very likely due to the busyness of the service.

We are ideally looking for someone with advocacy experience however are open to people with family or mental health experience.

The role is Monday to Friday 9:30 - 17:30

The head office is based in Islington however the court proceedings mean frequent travel.

We are looking for a part time Information & Advocacy Community Support Worker in Scotland.  You will be home based living in the North of Scotland.

You will ensure that service users (children and adults) and their families, receive high quality support, from the point of diagnosis and throughout their journey, and will assist them to access funding, equipment and care and support that they are entitled to. You will join a team that makes a real difference to the lives of the people living with muscle-wasting conditions, and their families, in Scotland. The role will be primarily home based, but there will also be a requirement to attend outpatient clinics within the region, attend home visits where appropriate and to support responding to queries through the helpline and information inbox. Some travel will be required to attend meetings and events outside of Scotland. You will work with both statutory and voluntary organisations, clinicians, and health and social care professionals to ensure that people living with muscle wasting conditions get the care and support they need to live well and independently.

Our care, information and advocacy service coordinate our support for families, providing advice and practical support to enable individuals to access the services, benefits and equipment they are entitled to.
