About the role
We are looking for a proactive individual to join our team. You will support impact measurement and evaluation across a suite of over 20 Young Enterprise programmes and services, plus fundraising, marketing, volunteering and alumni activity. You will be involved in collating learning from across Young Enterprise, including leading on data collection through our existing systems, analysis and disseminating findings through various means including our internal evidence hub, external reports, senior leadership updates and internal project reports.
This is a fast-moving role which will require you to have a flexible approach. You will be able to work independently on impact and evaluation tasks (with guidance from the Head of Impact and Insights) while working closely with colleagues from a range of teams and functions across the charity. The ability to manage your workload across multiple projects is a key part of this role, as well as thinking broadly and creatively about improving and embedding good impact practice at Young Enterprise as an integral part of our upcoming Transforming Futures strategy (2024-2030).

About the role:
Support to Head of Advice and Support
- Line management of three case workers
- Deliver the service in accordance with Providence Row, policies & procedures and values
- Work to service improvement objectives and team plans

Team support
- Supervise three case workers
- Complete regular supervision, case work management and annual appraisals
- Contribute to the Providence Row assessment procedure
- Support colleagues with technical queries relating to case progression
- Attend training relating to housing advice and present the learning back to staff teams
- Ensuring the team are rehearsed in all policies and procedures
- Support the team to identify training for continued learning and development
Monitor and evaluate work, demonstrating impact
- Ensuring monitoring systems are up to date and that development is ongoing
- Assisting with the review of assessment and recording systems
- Working with other department leads on service user feedback collation
- Keeping accurate financial records of the teams expenditure
- Oversee Advice & Support Team contract monitoring reports for commissioners to ensure delivery against the service objectives and KPI’s.
- Attend contract monitoring meetings alongside the Head of Advice & Support

About The Role
The Help for Heroes Community Development team are looking to recruit a team of Community Builders to assist in their reshaped participation and connection strategy. Using Asset Based Community Development, we seek to support the charity’s objective to enhance reach and positive impact for members of the Armed Forces Community facing challenges within their local communities.

Working closely with Community Development Managers across regions within the UK, the Community Builders will play a vital role in helping to improve lives for Armed Forces Community members by creating a supportive environment that allows them to re-engage and connect with the services at Help for Heroes and with the wider community.
The main purpose of this role is to connect local people through their skills, passions and assets and support the creation of new connections, bringing people together to improve wellbeing and make the community a better place to live. This will include listening to different points of views, building relationships and motivating people to work together and create their own action influenced by their interests and skillsets to positively impact local communities and help them to flourish.
About You
You will have experience leading and facilitating the mobilisation of local communities, asset mapping, bringing together people for engagement that matters to them. You will have knowledge and experience of Asset Based Community Development work, outreach methods and you will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to animate local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outreach to drive local connection, engagement and participation opportunities for the AFC
- Develop and embed an ABCD informed way of work

PLEASE NOTE: The successful candidates will need to be based within an hour’s commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel within a 75-mile radius of this location (travel expenses covered). Flexibility in working hours is necessary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a 2-week period so please take this into consideration before applying.
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A Community Development qualification and/or at least 3 years' experience working within a community development or similar role, with responsibility for bringing about social change and improving quality of life

- Experience of engaging and working collaboratively with partners/stakeholders
About the Team
You will work as part of the Community Development team; this newly formed team will approach working in defined localities using an asset based community development approach. About the role:
The role plays a key role in developing and delivering our media & communication strategy both internal and external, supporting the Head of Media & Communications. Our Technical Knowledge team oversees Blue Ventures’ technical pillars (Secure Rights, Community-Based Fisheries Management, Food Security and Financial Inclusion) and supports the use of data for decision-making, providing tools, training, and guidance to partners and Blue Ventures’ staff around the world. This team integrates expertise and deep practical experience with pragmatism and a desire to enable others to deliver lasting change, by distilling global best practices and knowledge into usable tools, appropriate training, and responsive guidance and support. The team is also responsible for delivering peer learning exchanges and knowledge-sharing events both online and face-to-face across the organisation, in addition to overseeing technical publications.
We are currently recruiting for an exceptional individual to be part of this global team, leading a critical pillar of the strategy on Community-Based Fisheries Management. This individual would oversee the development, refinement, and roll out of tools and training to support partners working with communities around the world as they establish community-based fisheries management and locally managed marine areas. The Blue Ventures Technical Knowledge team has a unique vantage point, gained through supporting dozens of partners working with hundreds of communities across South East Asia, the Western Indian Ocean, West Africa, and the Caribbean as well as being part of international fora and members of expert panels. As such our technical team plays a key role in identifying, collating, sharing, and transferring key insights and successful approaches, updating information, training, tools, and guidance around the world, and building a community of practice around each of the pillar themes.

About you

This means you will have experience in stewarding and securing new gifts from foundations as well as researching new opportunities to apply for funds.
You will also be skilled in understanding and translating complex information and turning it in to compelling written proposals, for grants, corporate partnerships and major donors.
You will be driven to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and be a sophisticated communicator with the confidence to build relationships with and inspire colleagues and donors.
We do require someone who is proactive, hardworking and results-orientated.
Experience of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge/NXT is desirable but not essential.
