The Role
Reporting into the Funding and Innovation Manager you will support the delivery of our fundraising strategy and secure external funding into SNG communities and to charities we work with.
Key Responsibilities
- To support the Fundraising and Innovation Manager to deliver our fundraising strategy.
- To secure external funding to benefit SNG communities and customer facing teams around the following themes: Financial & Digital Inclusion, Employment and Training, Community Action and Engagement.
- Lead projects, bids and programmes that bring in external funding to SNG communities and to charities benefiting SNG communities.
- Innovate by supporting the testing and piloting of new programmes and partnerships and identify opportunities to the Head of Partnerships and Funding.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders, including funders, businesses, local authorities and national agencies.
- Support the implementation of governance oversight for fundraising and systems and processes.

You should have demonstrable experience in a similar role or have knowledge within fundraising and partnerships. We're also looking for:
- Experience in previous roles of securing external funding via bid writing, public sector tenders and contracts, Trusts and Foundations and corporates.

You'll be:
- Meeting regularly with colleagues to ensure email marketing programme is planned, delivered and optimised based on results and supporter insight
- Reviewing results with the digital and telemarketing teams to optimise lead generation and conversion plans based on campaign performance
- Collaborate across the newly created Engagement & Loyalty funnel (including Emergency Appeals, Legacy Marketing, Events, E-commerce & Regular Giving) to drive optimisation – both in our email/lead generation programmes and ways of working
- Planning and leading workshops to strategically plan multi-channel, multi-proposition supporter journeys (digital and offline – including but not limited to email, mailings, telephone, paid social)
- Co-create the annual Engagement & Loyalty budget, closely monitor campaign forecasts, income and expenditure.
What will you need to be a successful Senior Engagement & Loyalty Manager?
- Understanding of the different marketing acquisition and retention channels and methodologies – primarily this role will lead on email marketing and lead generation via paid social adverts
- Specific knowledge and skills in email marketing and ESPs - ideally Salesforce
- Ability to plan campaigns and communications that engage, motivate and inspire mobilisation from a range of supporters/customers.
- Skilled at critically appraising creative and copy from concept to completion.
- Excellent and extensive understanding of the full range of paid, owned and earned channels, metrics used to measure response and how channels inter-relate on/offline.
- Extensive experience in cross-channel communications planning, and campaign planning, execution, and optimisation (including digital, mailings, telephone marketing).
- Experience in managing large scale print, telephone and email campaigns

About the role:
Our Health team has an exciting opportunity for three new roles to join the team. Two of these roles will be focused in our North London TST team, and one in our Lewisham hostel team with a focus on improving the barriers faced by those experiencing homelessness when accessing health care.
As a Health Lead, your role will focus on developing and embedding SHPs health approach into the services the charity provides. It will involve working with and supporting those living within our hostels who have underlying health needs to access and maintain the health care they need. To complete initial health screening tools, create a health support profile plan for each client and to make referrals to and support them in engaging with the correct services (i.e. dentistry, podiatry). In this role you will complete health mapping and use this information to influence partnerships formed with external services to help overcome barriers faced by those experiencing homelessness.
The approach taken with clients will be psychologically informed, incorporating an understanding of Personality Disorder, complex trauma and addiction. The outcomes for your role, include developing positive and sustained relationships of trust with clients, supporting them to engage in health care support and see an improvement in their overall physical health.
About you:
To be successful, you will have:
- A knowledge of (or willingness to learn) about common health issues and the barriers to health access that people experiencing homelessness may encounter.
- Ability to find ways to engage and develop relationships with clients who may have a low level of interaction with and/or suspicion of services.
- Good understanding of local level health set up/services i.e. homeless health providers and teams.

The Child and Family Specialist role is part of an exciting and innovative partnership with the London Borough of Ealing to provide an early intervention service in the community and in schools to children, young people and their families. The Ealing Early Intervention Service has been commissioned to provide direct and systemic work to address moderate mental health needs.
The Child and Family Specialist will work in partnership with schools, children and families to assess and respond to the psychological needs of children experiencing social, emotional, mental health or behavioural difficulties through undertaking assessments and providing interventions. The post-holder will also: provide specialist advice and support to school staff in the identification of mental health needs of children and accessing appropriate resources; and actively contribute to outcome monitoring and service improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a commissioned service delivering direct interventions for young people and their families. The post-holder will offer a range of clinical activities to address mental health needs in children and young people, including direct individual and group work with young people and parents/carers and joint work with other professionals. The clinical case presentation is mostly moderate risk and requires insight into handling complex clinical cases (e.g. neurodiverse and trauma-inform practice) and appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns.
The Child and Family Specialist will join a small team of 12 people in a fast-paced working dynamic. The post-holder will be supported through supervision and will deliver consultation, training, and workshops to non-mental health staff.

We're looking for a Proposition Development Manager to join a newly created team within our Fundraising directorate. About the Role

The Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) programme is a one-year postgraduate diploma course and is part of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Psychological Training Programmes (previously CYP IAPT). The post-holder will deliver a high quality, academically coherent and inclusive programme curriculum in line with the evolving EMHP National Curriculum, UCL and British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation standards.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of implementing CBT-informed interventions for low mood and anxiety as well evidence-based interventions for behavioural difficulties in educational settings; have a strong, demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and education and have experience in curriculum design, assessment and teaching in Higher Education.

Role overview
The British Science Association's mission is to transform the diversity and inclusivity of science. We want more people, especially those from groups that are currently underrepresented in science, to feel that science is relevant to their lives. The BSA’s Community Engagement programmes focus on reaching people who are underrepresented in science and research.
The Community Engagement Manager will specialise in growing, diversifying, and supporting our community engagement programmes.
The role will develop, manage and deliver high quality programmes by supporting community organisers and community-researcher partnerships. This will include programmes focusing on community engagement with science and research, as well as participatory grant making.
This role would suit someone with an interest in public engagement with science and research and experience of community engagement, capacity building and partnership working.
Key responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this role are:
- Extend the BSA’s engagement with grassroot community organisations and communities underserved by science and research.
- Help to grow the BSA’s Community Engagement programmes portfolio and support the BSA’s Community Engagement Network.
- Enable and support community engagement with British Science Week, including managing the British Science Week Community Grant Scheme.
- Project manage existing and new programmes that develop and support community-researcher partnerships and/or enable community organisers to embed science engagement and research in their work.
- Provide delivery support to the Community Led Research Pilot (CLRP).
- Provide capacity building and development support to our delivery partners and participants in our grant programmes to overcome challenges they may face in delivering their projects.
- Line manage a Community Engagement Officer and provide effective management across projects and programmes.
- Deliver against agreed budgets and timelines.
- Work with the Head of Community Engagement in line with the BSA’s 10-year strategy to:
- increase opportunities for those underrepresented in science and research to engage with our programmes,
- develop new partnerships to support new and ongoing grant and capacity building programmes to create positive impacts for communities,
- increase community voice and representation in the science engagement, research and innovation sectors.
In addition, the post-holder will be expected to:
- Support the Head of Community Engagement to proactively strengthen the organisation’s profile and reputation among external partners and stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Head of Community Engagement, other managers and teams (particularly The Ideas Fund) to develop new programmes and improve existing ones and share best practice in community engagement across the organisation and with the wider sector.
- Support with writing funding bids that lead to the growth of the community engagement portfolio.
- Seek meaningful feedback from the communities that will be affected by planned activities (e.g. underserved audiences).
- Other duties as reasonably required by the line manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an organised and proactive person who will lead the delivery team for our Grant Management portfolio and Process Hosting services. This involves ‘account management’, which means supporting groups as they scale, as well as oversight of the services. You will manage at least two Partnerships Managers, each with their own portfolio of groups, and be responsible for continuing to shape and refine the delivery of the service.
Many of our groups are at the beginning of their journey in impact or size. Our Grant Management service supports our groups through this journey, ensuring we understand their needs, finding practical solutions to support them to achieve their goals, ensuring contracts are delivered in line with agreements, supporting them with budgeting and advising where financial decisions need to be made. Our Process Hosting service is new but growing, and provides groups, coalitions and networks with crucial admin, governance and secretarial support suited to non-hierarchical structures. As the Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for supporting groups and leaders facing complex dynamics and testing creative solutions to address their challenges.
This role combines customer service, impact-scaling support, account management, deep facilitation and team leadership. This role will be an integral part of the business, and your understanding of the service and what is important for our groups will support the growth of our business. You will report to the Head of Programmes and work closely with the rest of the Delivery team as well as other functions across SCN.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Account management (60%):
You will manage several partner accounts, specifically those that are high profile or complex. For Grant Management, this involves:
- Working directly with groups and movements to understand their needs and help them navigate challenges in their journey of scaling, e.g. governance, budget management, recruitment etc.
- Facilitating monthly meetings with partners to build relationships, discuss emerging needs, and track progress on contracts with funders.
- Liaising with funders on behalf of partners where needed.
- Track grant budgets and support partners with risk management.
- Ensure partners’ contractual obligations are met.
- Nurture relationships to help build positive, long-term partnerships.
For Process Hosting, you would work closely with a Partnerships Manager to:- Advise on decision making that supports the group/coalition with their strategy and operations. This will range from advising on the business model, governance structures, funding opportunities, design and implementation on operational processes to support their mission.
- Support the planning and management of governance related meetings.
- Support with the processes around recruitment and voting.
Lead on delivery of the Grant Management service (25%):
- Develop and hold the processes and spaces needed to ensure smooth and consistent delivery across the Grant Management team.
- Develop the service as we grow, thinking about how we can adapt the model of delivery to fit our purpose.
- Work across the team to input on how SCN can continue to improve and innovate. You will bring the key perspective from partners and support by providing feedback on their experience and needs to inform changes to systems and processes.
Management (10%):
- Manage the Grant Management team (at least 2 Partnerships Managers).
- Support the team’s delivery, set work objectives and development goals.
- Ensure the team understands our purpose, how their work fits within that, and our ways of working and culture.
Support the SCA and SCN team (5%):
- Support internal activities and the development of the wider team that contribute to The Social Change Nest’s overall mission and strategy.
