Age UK is about to embark on a large wave of transformation. We need to uplift our delivery capability, including the management of a centralised portfolio of projects and programmes, providing control, visibility, and awareness for stakeholders, to ensure we deliver our ambitious plans.
Working alongside the Chief Executive and the Senior Leadership Team, the Strategy & Transformation Director will provide the specialist advice, strategic direction and positive leadership for Age UK's strategy and transformation change agendas.
The role will be responsible for the delivery of a complex transformation change programme, providing specialist capability and managing a broad portfolio of project outcomes. Building a strong and consistent strategy and transformation capability across all Age UK, working alongside our federated network of local partners, to ensure the successful implementation of transformation programmes that drive charitable growth, efficiency, and innovation.

Job Summary

How Will You Make a Difference?
The Head of Operations collaborates closely with the CEO and SLT to oversee and manage Amna's operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of programmes to reach the communities we serve. Comprehensive Risk and Safety Management:

About you
This opportunity will allow you to use your existing knowledge and expertise in the management of Children’s Homes, to implement new ideas, support and develop their Registered Managers, whilst ensuring best practice and compliance with Ofsted regulations.

This role will seek to identify new high-level donors, as well as help to develop existing

Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Leadership Team, other team

and pledged income.
Main Goal:

a) Developing and implementing tailored cultivation and stewardship plans, so that

and that their generosity is recognised, through regular reporting, interactions,

b) Developing donor-centric applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post,
email, phone and face-to-face) that are driven by insight on donors’ individual needs
and preferences and are tailored to their interests and requirements, following up as
required.
c) Reporting to donors in both formal and informal ways, as appropriate, to ensure
they are kept up to date with CBM, the impact of their grant and project
developments.
d) Hosting and facilitating face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors,
including organising dates, venues and agendas/ talking points, and creating
Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes as far as possible.
e) Promoting the importance of legacies, and legacy income, where appropriate, and
to steward those who have pledged.
f) Organising and managing the successful delivery of at least one Major Donor Event
annually (cultivation, stewardship, thanking etc), to ensure positive relations and
potential new business, in collaboration with our Fundraising and Programme
colleagues.
g) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy and the Philanthropy Officer on the
identification, stewardship and cultivation of potential corporate partners.
3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Crafting compelling proposals and reports that meet the bespoke needs of major
donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues,
within agreed deadlines.

d) Supporting the Head of Philanthropy on collating information and providing reports
to Foundation donors as needed.
4. Planning and Budgeting
a) Contributing to the development of an Income Generation and Engagement
strategy, led by the Director of Fundraising, Impact & Communications.
b) Closely monitoring income and expenditure, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy
where necessary, and contributing to the creation of yearly fundraising budgets and
plans and quarterly Board Reports.
c) Establishing, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, milestones
and targets to facilitate informed decisions and improved working practice.
5. Other
a) Ensuring all information, donor activity is recorded and kept up-to-date on our
database to fully-inform any approaches/meetings.
b) Providing proof-reading and copy-editing support to colleagues.
c) Helping to develop a culture of enthusiasm and success, reflecting the ambitions of
CBM, and promoting positive working and innovation.
d) Ensuring that the values of CBM UK are understood by external partners and
always reflected in communications.
e) Carrying out any additional duties as required by the Head of Philanthropy and
Director of Fundraising, Impact and Communications.

The National Youth Agency is looking for an experienced Local Policy & Partnerships Manager

Contract: 1-Year Fixed term contract (maternity cover)
Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week – flexible working. Part-time applications (minimum of 30-hours per week will be considered)
Salary: £36,000 - 41,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications).
Location: Remote working with some travel to meetings and events required.

We are looking for a Local Policy and Partnerships Manager to drive local engagement and policy activity, ensuring that youth work is at the heart of decision-making at every level.
As Local Policy and Partnerships Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across NYA and key external stakeholders to lead local policy activity and stakeholder engagement. This includes aligning local initiatives with national influencing strategies, showcasing best practices, and ensuring youth work shapes policy at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Local Policy & Stakeholder Engagement: Drive local policy initiatives, build relationships with decision-makers, and support national youth work advocacy.
- Knowledge & Insights: Collaborate with the Knowledge Team to maintain and develop the Local Data Dashboard.
- Policy Monitoring: Track local political developments, identify advocacy opportunities, and align strategies with organisational goals.
- Written Outputs: Create policy materials such as briefings, reports, blogs, and consultation responses.
- Event Organisation: Plan and deliver impactful events, including local policy seminars and national conferences, to engage stakeholders and promote youth work policy.
