This is a permanent role paying a salary of £50,000 FTE per annum. This role can be either full-time or part-time (30 hours) and the postholder will be working in a hybrid model from their offices in High Wycombe. 

As a pivotal, newly created role for Buckinghamshire Mind the Head of Income Generation and Communications will be a member of the Senior Management Team, contributing to the strategic direction and operational management of the charity. In addition to Buckinghamshire, this also includes their services in East Berkshire – as part of their Mind in Berkshire partnership with Oxfordshire Mind.

In this role, leading a small team, you will develop, implement, and monitor the fundraising strategy, introducing new initiatives to diversify and generate income. You will also oversee the delivery of the communications strategy. You will be innovative in your approach and have a passion to see Buckinghamshire Mind, and Mind in Berkshire, expand their portfolios of mental health services to fulfil the mission of ‘a mentally healthy society’.

You will have proven experience in leading on external communications (including digital), developing campaigns to generate donations/corporate giving and associated activities such as public relations.

About the team

The Health Information team work to inform and engage the public with information on cancer prevention, early diagnosis and screening. We use our knowledge and communications expertise to guide and shape activity across the charity including policy, partnerships and fundraising.

What will I be doing?

• Oversee the provision of high quality, accessible and evidence-based health information including maintaining a good understanding of best practice

• Provide strategic direction for CRUK's health information priority topics to maximise impact across public facing channels including but not limited to health marketing, communications and partnerships

• Act as a senior subject matter expert on health information and use of evidence, advising senior internal and external stakeholders (Executive Board, other charities, researchers)

• Act as a senior media spokesperson and provide expert sign-off for health information content used in a range of external channels (including press and policy influencing)

• Provide functional leadership to the health information team, ensuring that their time is prioritised effectively to focus on the areas of greatest impact - including balancing proactive workload and support for other teams.

• Responsible for managing the team budgets to ensure activity and services are delivered in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

• Build effective relationships with other evidence teams and policy to minimise duplication of effort, ensure consistency of messaging, and maximise our impact on a range of topics in support of CRUK and PIC's wider influencing and engagement strategy

What skills are we looking for?

• Excellent judgement of sound research methods, ability to critically appraise qualitative and quantitative evidence and research

• Experience in translation of evidence into targeted, relevant and accessible public information

• A good understanding of either cancer prevention or early detection with the ability to develop expertise in both of these areas

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team, and prioritise workload in a complex matrix environment

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to sign off health information positions and represent this internally and externally

Overall purpose

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for developing, leading and implementing key aspects of our communications and engagement strategy. Your focus will be to maintain our high reputation and build engagement with key audiences – principally target public audiences, corporate partners, funders and supporters, volunteers, clients, and staff. 

Bridging the gap between senior leadership and delivery, you will be a confident and strategic thinker, but remain excited by the challenge of getting stuck in. You will be comfortable supporting colleagues to deliver activity as well as working independently on your own projects. Strong copywriting is essential for this role. You will be able to write, edit, and tailor content for different audiences, and publish it across various channels, including the website, social media, emails, and marketing materials.

World Obesity Federation is seeking an Events Coordinator to join their team as maternity cover.

World Obesity Federation (WOF) is a worldwide federation with over 100 members and takes a holistic view of obesity from cause and prevention to treatment. WOF is a lead partner to global agencies on obesity, including WHO, and a member of the Global Obesity Coalition.

This position will begin assisting the Events Manager with the events programme and continue as maternity cover in 2025. Main responsibilities will include managing the educational events programme including in person obesity management training courses ‘Scope Schools’ as part of the SCOPE e-learning site held regularly throughout the year, and monthly educational webinars, alongside the Head of Education.

Also working with Head of Policy on medium sized events such as the Global Obesity Forum in person in New York in September 2025, and other smaller policy and fundraising meetings throughout the year. Also included in the role is managing webinars for World Obesity Day and other campaign days.

It will also involve managing the planning of the bi-annual congress the International Congress on Obesity to be held in Mexico City June 2026, overseeing the work of the PCO and organising committees to ensure development is on schedule and key milestones are achieved.

What will you need to be a successful Senior Engagement & Loyalty Manager? 

• Understanding of the different marketing acquisition and retention channels and methodologies – primarily this role will lead on email marketing and lead generation via paid social adverts 
•  Specific knowledge and skills in email marketing and ESPs - ideally Salesforce 
• Ability to plan campaigns and communications that engage, motivate and inspire mobilisation from a range of supporters/customers.
• Skilled at critically appraising creative and copy from concept to completion.

We are excited to recruit for a Head of Content to join their Global Marketing and Communication Team, based from their London office. The purpose of this role is to lead on the commissioning and co-ordinating of compelling content to ensure growth of public support for its environmental mission as well as ensuring stakeholders are updated and inspired about their work. This role oversees audience engagement on social media channels, the web and newsletters. The post-holder has a strong focus on delivery to deadlines, as well as the development and execution of a global content strategy. Working closely with regional colleagues, the role will also ensure that there is effective distribution of content across their global network.

The successful candidate will bring excellent experience of content creation with significant editorial expertise to ensure compelling story-led content. You will have considerable experience in developing and executing successful content strategies across multiple channels with an excellent knowledge of the social media landscape, platforms, and how best to utilise these to grow audiences. You will bring exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to nurture and motivate teams. You will also demonstrate a passion for the cause, bringing a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. In addition, experience of working in a global context or across multiple networks would be an advantage.

We need you, a talented marketing insight specialist to help us develop and Mardeliver our strategy. 

• Location: Hybrid role, 2-3 days a week in the office (based in Fleet, Hampshire)
• Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, with some out of hours working when required.
• Annual Salary: up to £32,960 (dependent on experience)

Who we're looking for:

We are seeking a unique blend of marketer, fundraiser, and data analyst, equipped with the unique ability to analyse and interpret data to drive and evolve campaigns, as well as aid in developing new products. Your natural curiosity will lead you to explore and interrogate all available data points, both online and offline. You'll excel in clearly communicating complex data findings to non-technical colleagues at all levels.

Apply your skills to drive meaningful change and optimise our fundraising and customer experience efforts. 

Key accountabilities:

• Campaign Analysis: Collaborate with the Head of Customer Experience (CX) to manage and interpret campaign analysis, providing actionable insights to stakeholders
• Data Visualisation: Create dashboards and visual tools for fundraisers to track and optimise campaigns
• Team Collaboration: Work with the CX team to report on testing strategies and segmentations
• Insight Dissemination: Ensure internal stakeholders understand and utilise insights.
• Market Research: Plan and implement market research to support fundraising and CX strategies
• Compliance: Ensure all campaigns comply with Data Protection and fundraising best practices.

• Utilising insights to inform product development and campaign strategies
• Strong project management skills
• Familiarity with SalesForce and/or SalesForce Marketing Cloud
• Understanding of database structures and implementation
• Experience working with a charity is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Expertise in direct marketing practices
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Proficient with BI visualisation tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI)
• Experience with digital automation and customer experience software (e.g., SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Pardot)
• Familiarity with analytical and database tools
• Hands-on experience with content management systems
• Advanced use of ESPs like Marketing Cloud or DotDigital
• Proficiency with market research tools (e.g., Alchemer, SurveyMonkey)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Effective project management and organisational skills under tight deadlines

Our Direct Marketing Team is part of this department, and recruits and develops supporters. We are seeking a Direct Marketing Officer to join this team to manage and deliver a series of high standard direct marketing campaigns across our Regular Giving programme. This individual will be recruiting, retaining and upgrading regular donors to generate income through a variety of direct marketing methods such as direct dialogue, DRTV, digital, and direct mail. They will be encouraging regular monthly gifts or support via one of our main products such as general Regular Giving and Sponsorship, our Lottery, Value Exchange programme and other methods of committed giving as they arise.
