We now have an exciting opening for a Head of Media, PR & Editorial. The postholder will be responsible for developing and supporting key campaigns and strategies that help to promote and explain the work, impact, health messaging and funding needs to diverse audiences. You will achieve these through PR and media relations, awareness-raising campaign development, supporter stories, celebrity/ambassador management, and the management of a small team, including staff and specialist consultant support.
We are seeking an experienced communications professional with demonstrable expertise and a track-record of success in managing communications for a charity, health or science-related organisation, including developing successful media strategies, with positive press coverage, and writing clear, engaging copy for different audiences across digital and social media channels. The successful candidate will also have proven experience planning and managing multiple cross-departmental projects.

Responsibilities of our Management Accountant:
- work closely with Budget Holders to provide expert support and insight to aid financial decisionmaking
- provide financial reports and analysis for the Charity and its trading subsidiary, including the production of monthly management accounts and support the production of the statutory accounts and the related external audit

This is a new role at the DEC and developed as a key part of the DEC’s 2024-2029 strategy. The DEC has a wide range of established relationships with trusts and foundations, many of which give 6- and 7-figure sums to DEC appeals. In addition to appeal fundraising, the Trusts & Foundations Manager will be responsible for delivering on a new core cost fundraising strategy, in close partnership with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships.
Demonstrable, transferable trusts and foundations experience and knowledge, (preferably within the humanitarian & charity sector), will hold you in good stead for this exciting new role.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Development: Develop and manage the trusts and foundations portfolio and create compelling proposals for future appeals and core costs income. Showcase new ideas and innovative approaches for growing and developing a pipeline of new prospects. Develop engaging stewardship plans.
Administrative Compliance: Lead and manage, robust and professional grant management, ensuring systems and processes are fit for purpose, streamlined and accessible. Remain compliant with grant terms and conditions, ensuring you are clearly communicating the unique contours of the DEC model whilst providing comprehensive and inspiring impact reporting.
Relationship Management: Maintain regular contact and collaboration with internal teams to collate a high-quality suite of communication materials and stewardship plans specific to a trust and foundation audience. Proactively reach out and build long-lasting relationships with funders to reach ambitious fundraising targets.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor, measure and evaluate progress against the DEC’s strategic goals and funds raised from trusts and foundations. Prepare regular reports for senior management and trustees on the development, progress and future strategic actions for trusts and foundations at the DEC.

About the role:
We are seeking a new Head of Business and Operations to play a crucial role in supporting the Head to review and drive continuous improvement.
The key responsibilities in the role will include:
- Finances: You will oversee and manage all finances and a multi million pound budget for the school.
- Human Resources: This will include leading on people strategy, workforce planning and performance management including evaluating the schools operational model.
- Systems and Processes: One of the immediate priorities for this role will be to evaluate systems and processes (for monitoring areas outlined in the job description) and seek ways to streamline these with innovative solutions.
This role does involve line management of two assistant operations managers as well as other office and facilities staff within the school.
You will work with the Headteacher to alleviate the administrative burdens from them but importantly support change management where identified / agreed.

A large complex Charity that operates on a global scale are looking for a Management Accountant deliver the annual budget and provide an excellent Business Partnering Service across the Organisation. The post holder will also be responsible for preparing the monthly management accounts and providing financial analysis and will work closely with Fundraising directorate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting commentary
- Preparation of monthly budget holder reports
- Partnering with budget holders, including overseas colleagues, in financially managing their cost centres and budgets
- To meet with budget holders on a monthly basis to understand the nature of variances from budget/forecast and corrective action in hand and challenge if necessary
- Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations for overseas bank accounts
- Contribute to the annual planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Support the Head of Management Accounts with preparation of the yearly budget
- Ensure the chart of accounts for each cost centre are aligned to the needs of the budget holder
- Assist the Head of Finance in preparation of the year end statutory accounts, including subsidiaries
Person Specification:
- Qualified Accountant / part qualified actively studying (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)

2. Researching funding opportunities, competitors and market trends.
3. Developing and maintaining an annual calendar of community fundraising activities.

5. Management and growth of Inspire's entry to mid-level corporate partnerships.
6. Working with delivery team colleagues to ensure funders’ reports are completed on time and to a high standard.
