We are looking for a Graphic Designer (maternity cover).
We’re looking for a mid-weight Graphic Designer to work in-house to create artwork for marketing and communications campaigns across a wide range of media, including print, digital, animation, and video. Main purpose of the role:
The Deputy Service Coordinator splits their time between the office organising rotas, liaising with families, social services, and health care professionals, and providing a minimum of 20 hours a week of direct support, as well as one weekend a month on the rota, depending on the needs of the service.
The role requires the postholder to take responsibility for being on call between the leadership team. There is an additional payment for on-call duty.

Role Requirements
Site wide general housekeeping service – ensure that the housekeeping services is of an acceptable level and is consistent across site.
- Carry out a cleaning service in allocated buildings/rooms/areas ensuring that daily tasks are completed according to the standard operating procedures in relation to the cleanliness/hygiene standards.
- Follow infection control procedures whenever carrying out duties and ensure procedures are followed should there be an infection control outbreak.
- Liaise with the Housekeeping Supervisor and House Staff on a daily basis – carrying out special requests in relation to Housekeeping.
- Ensure safe storage of cleaning materials and equipment and sufficient stock is maintained – informing the Housekeeping Supervisor of stock requiring ordering.
- Assist in the cleaning of communal areas on a daily basis and cleaning of carpets, curtains and high dusting on a rotating schedule.
- Ensure that any repairs required to fixtures and fittings are reported to the designated Facilities Helpdesk as soon as possible and any issues are reported to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Assist in routine housekeeping audits as outlined in the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure any works are to agreed service levels.
- Prioritise work to complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Assist other members of the Site Services and Facilities teams as required.
- Undertake other or additional duties that are within your skills and abilities, as the organisation may reasonably require from time to time.

Overall purpose

We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.
We welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills from other sectors and other areas of fundraising but a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of grant fundraising is essential. You will play a key part in helping us to strengthen the mental health workforce and make a positive impact on people’s lives.
Think Ahead supports people living with mental health needs by supporting a strong and thriving mental health workforce. We are experts in recruitment, professional training and leadership development for mental health practitioners in the NHS and local communities, ensuring the right people can deliver the right support at the right time.
Through our flagship programme we have recruited and trained 1,000 mental health social workers to date, and we are extending our reach to ensure that we can support NHS and other employers to recruit and retain key people right across the mental health workforce.
As the External Relations Officer you will:
- Ensure the organisation has a good understanding of relevant policy and sector developments, and that we are aware of opportunities to influence.
- Work with key internal groups to keep developing our understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the mental health workforce.
- Support the organisation to identify and build relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Help to build our profile as sector workforce experts by generating content such as blogs, and by identifying speaking opportunities for our internal specialists.
We are looking for someone with good communications instincts who is passionate about policy and public affairs, and has a ‘can-do’ attitude and a desire to learn and develop. We don’t need you to be highly experienced in all three areas (communications, policy and public affairs), we are happy to work with the right candidate to develop your skills and experience.
We offer a supportive working environment which include hybrid working practices. We expect staff to work from the office at least one or two days per week (which ideally includes Tuesdays) and the remaining days can be worked from home.
