What we're looking for:

Refugee Council is seeking an experienced philanthropy specialist to develop and grow the Refugee Council’s Philanthropy relationships and programme and deliver an ambitious Philanthropy strategy.

Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK.  Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment.  Evidence from services is then used to also inform the charity’s leading policy and influencing work, including campaigning for a fairer and kinder refugee protection system.  The charity works with more than 14,000 men, women and children every year.

This role will be a critical part of the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team and presents an exciting opportunity to grow Refugee Council’s established Philanthropy programme. The role will be responsible for delivering and creating bespoke development plans, supported by engaging cultivation and stewardship activities to secure increased funding from existing and new donors. About the Role

As the Senior Communications Officer (content) in the Public Engagement Team, you will be passionate about the rights of young people in the UK. Using your creativity and experience in delivering public-facing communications content and fundraising content you will be instrumental in increasing Depaul UK’s income, profile and influence. We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to support the Head of Membership Engagement in the overall development and delivery of commercial revenue streams at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. This will include all current sponsorship for conferences, including our flagship Fundraising Convention, corporate membership, and strategic partnerships.

Ataxia UK is looking for a skilled and dedicated Specialist Ataxia Nurse for our new community-based nursing service, focused on supporting individuals with ataxia in the South West of England. The role is a significant development in expanding access to expert and joined-up ataxia care for the ataxia community, particularly in regions currently underserved by neurologists with expertise in the ataxias. 

As a Specialist Ataxia Nurse, you will provide personalised, face-to-face, and remote support to patients, assisting them in navigating the NHS and social care systems. Your responsibilities will include supporting patients during medical appointments, coordinating essential therapies such as physiotherapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy, and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals to enhance understanding and treatment of ataxia. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of resources and information for the ataxia community. 

We are looking for an experienced nurse with a background in neurology or chronic disease management and a strong commitment to patient advocacy. The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator, capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. About the Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP)

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 700 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, tackling self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Fundraising at BCYP

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. Until now, applications have largely been submitted by our Fundraising Manager- Trusts & Foundations, with occasional support from a freelance bid-writer. We now want to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward these key relationships.

The Finance & Project Manager will oversee DAPO programme commissioning contracts and budgets. We are offering an opportunity to join our ASK (Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge) team within Kent & Medway.

As an Apprenticeship Adviser, you will:

• Deliver both virtual and face to face presentations to students from small groups to larger assemblies to raise awareness of apprenticeships, and other technical education routes.
• Deliver bespoke sessions to students in supporting them to register and apply for apprenticeships.
• Deliver awareness raising sessions to parents, teachers and local stakeholders.
• Support the coordination and booking of school events, working with teachers and careers advisors to assess their school/college apprenticeship delivery to date.
• Work proactively with key partners and stakeholders promoting CXK across the region.

You will:

• Have some experience and knowledge of the work-based learning sector and wider routes into Apprenticeships. Full training and support will be given to build on experience/up-date knowledge.
• Have planned, delivered, and evaluated virtual and face to face sessions engaging students, teachers and parents.
• Have a network of stakeholders and partners across the region to enhance the support to schools, colleges and partners.
• Have a proven track record of successfully working towards targets and KPIs.
• Be able to engage confidently and sensitively with schools at a range of levels of seniority up to and including head teacher level.
• Be an articulate and confident communicator who has experience of presenting to and engaging with an audience of children/young people.

The Partnerships and Philanthropy team are moving through a period of change and growth which will set this team up to strategically align their resources and skill where it is most needed, in order to attract, cultivate and retain strategic partnership and income from high profile event.

Reporting to the Head of Partnerships & Philanthropy, the Senior Partnerships and High Profile Events Manager will lead a team to drive high-value income growth, developing relationships and securing income from Corporate Partners and High-Profile Events, delivering exceptional levels of tailored engagement and stewardship. About you

To be successful in this role, you will have skill and experience in the following areas:

• Substantial experience of, and a strong track record in fundraising, including personally soliciting and stewarding 5, 6 and 7 figure gifts from corporate partnerships or major donors.
• Experience in income generating and stewardship event development, project management and delivery.
• Leadership skills with experience of leading a team, nurturing development and managing performance.
• Experience of strategy development and implementation.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written skills with great attention to detail, and an ability to flex your style according to the audience. 
• Managing a diverse workload with multiple deadlines, deliverables and stakeholders, thinking creatively to leverage opportunities and develop relationships.

Macular disease is the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK, with around 300 people diagnosed every day. The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research, and the best advice and support.

To support people affected by macular disease now, the Macular Society provides a range of support, information and services. Our research programme is focused on finding new treatments and a cure to beat macular disease forever.

We are undergoing significant changes, with a transformational new strategy to multiply our income, ultimately funding research that will find a cure.

What we’re looking for

An experienced Legacy and In Memory fundraising or marketing professional with a proven track record of developing and implementing campaigns aimed at creating legacy awareness, securing legacy pledges and increasing in memory donations for the Macular Society.

You’ll be familiar with and comfortable analysing data and insights that inform decision making and approaches towards legacy and in memory marketing, ensuring these activities are well targeted and effective, using a range of channels.

Once secured, you’ll also be passionate about providing the best possible supporter care and experience, bringing people closer to the cause and encouraging ongoing support.

Leading a team of two experienced Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Officers, you’ll support this talent by providing opportunities for learning and development and will embed a positive culture of high support and challenge.
